Wildling

Chapter 35

Trigger warning

~~~Ember’s POV~~~
My lungs expand in a deep breath as I struggled to escape sleeps clutch. I feel so secure, so warm, and relaxed. My eyes fluttered open, taking in the brilliant sun as it drifted in through the window. I felt a heavy arm wrapped around my stomach, keeping my back against a hard chest. I smiled as the memory from last night drifted back. This is what it feels like to be loved. I’m not sure I can get used to having comfort and caring again but I will never take it for granted.
I turned carefully in his arms to face him. He looked so peaceful sleeping. Like he had no cares in the world. His face was covered with a scruffy beard since he was never able to shave at the cabin. (It really has been a hectic week.)
His mouth was open slightly, the soft sounds of his breathing escaping. He looked so content. I lightly traced the outline of his cheek down to his jaw where he had a tiny scar. He shifted a bit closer, craving my touch even when his body is in the throes of sleep.
Deciding to let him sleep more, I wriggled carefully out of his arms and tiptoed to the bathroom. I came back out to see Accalia had stolen my spot and Jaxson was currently cuddling into her. I grinned at the adorable scene.
Downstairs, I made myself aquatinted with the kitchen, deciding to make us a breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns and biscuits. I would need my energy for later.
Everything was mostly done. I was in front of the stove finishing the eggs when two arms wrapped around my waist. Jaxson pulled me against him making my head lean back against his shoulder. He placed small kisses against my neck, making me shiver in delight.
“I could get used to this image. You barefoot in our kitchen, looking adorable in my clothes as you cook. I don’t think I want you to wear anything else ever again.” I felt him smile against my neck as his lips laid against my skin. I turned the stove off and turned in his hold, lacing my arms around his neck as I smiled up at him.
“So, you wouldn’t mind me training the warriors in nothing but a T-shirt?” I smirked as Jaxson’s arms tightened around me, his soft growls filling the room. I laughed at his expression.
“Come on, breakfast is ready.” I plated everything and set it on the island counter so we could sit and eat.
Jaxson groaned in delight as he took a bite. “I didn’t know you liked to cook. This is heavenly!” I smiled, my heart warm at watching him enjoy my cooking.
“Yeah. I love cooking. I used to be in the kitchen all the time when I was younger. Well, when I wasn’t training. I’ve missed it.” I smiled softly, thinking about all the goodies I used to enjoy baking.
“Well, you can cook anytime you like if it makes you happy. I only ever want you happy. Don’t think you have an obligation to me just because we are mates. And since you cooked, I’ll clean up.” He leaned to kiss my cheek, getting up to take our dishes. As much as I want to stay in this moment forever. Someone is waiting on me.
“Can you ask Sean if he can take me to the cells today? I have to have a little play date with Trent.” Jaxson looks at me quickly, concerned at my sudden cold disposition.
“You sure you’re up for it today? You have had a lot happen. He’s not going anywhere.” Jaxson searched my eyes for any hint of doubt.
“Oh, it’s important not to miss therapy.” A dark smirk played on my lips.
“I’ll link him then.”
Sean led me down out of the pack house to a winding path that led behind it. Pack members glanced at us curiously as we walked but didn’t dare utter a word. My cold gaze, set jaw, and marching gait warded everyone away.
“The cells are underneath the gym and training grounds. There are always 5 guards as well as high tech locks that require a password and thumb print to operate any doors. The password has obviously been changed since we learned of Trent’s betrayal and his thumb print has been removed. There is an elevator in the gym that will bring you about 5 levels under the ground. All cells are a walled concrete, no windows or bars and the door is electronic. He can’t escape, not without help.” I nodded.
We reached the gym. Walking through the door, I was greeted with the mustiness of sweat and sounds of groans and grunts from the warriors that were present working out. It was like they were all connected. One mind in several bodies, as they all stopped what they were doing and gawked at us. Their eyes holding a challenge towards me; the new girl.
I’m not in the mood for a pissing contest right now. I glared at them all, daring them to meet my gaze. One by one they dropped their eyes from mine and returned to what they were doing. Sean walked towards the elevator, pressing his thumb to the pad.
Once we were down in the cells, Sean dismissed the guard to give us privacy. We walked down the hallway until we reached the very last room.
“This is the interrogation room. It holds all the tools you could possibly need. Are you sure you want to do this Ember?”
I groaned in annoyance. “Yes! Will you all quit asking me that? I appreciate the concern, but I’ll be fine. I need this. He needs to feel exactly how I did. He needs to feel everything he put me through. I will need one guard to help me,” I glanced at Sean, “Unless you want to help.”
“Love to.” Sean nodded. Before he could open the door, I stopped him.
“We will be completely alone right? No one can see or hear us?” Sean hesitated for a moment, causing me to narrow my eyes a bit before he nodded. I stared at him another moment, not completely sure if he was being honest. My impatience to bring Trent pain won over any of my doubt.
Nodding, I gestured for him to open the door. A beep sounded once Sean put his thumb print in and entered the passcode. Locks clicked and the door opened, revealing a bruised Trent chained from the ceiling.
“Nothing I say leaves this room. Got it Sean?” Trent lifted his eyes at the sound of my voice. Fear flickered through them.
I grinned. My body aching with the need for revenge. Sean looked at me wearily. I speak to him, not taking my eyes from Trent.
“You can leave at any point you are uncomfortable Sean. It may get a little......messy." Trent gulped at my words and I took pleasure in the shudder of fear that traveled his body.
“I’ll be fine.” Sean grunted.
I walked forward and circled Trent slowly, my gaze drifting from his body to the room around me. A small cot in one corner. White walls surrounding us. I take in the weapons hanging from opposite wall. Whips, knives, swords, injections of silver and wolfsbane. So many things I couldn’t wait to try. There opposite wall that Trent was facing, was a full glass mirror. He could watch every move I make.
His eyes followed me as I walked. Never straying as he waited. Fear rolling off his body. Sean waited patiently in the corner for whenever I needed him. I just hope he doesn’t think differently of me after this.
“Now Trent. What should we do first?” I walked to the wall of devices and pick up a silver tipped whip. The first thing Trent ever took pleasure in with me. I picked it up, trailing it on the ground as I walked towards him. He began to squirm and fight his bindings.
“S-stop.” He croaked through his chapped lips.
I threw my head back and laughed. “Yes, that’s what I would scream every single time you tortured me. Funny how the roles are now reversed. Beg for mercy Trent. You always did say you liked it when I begged.” I sneered at him hearing Sean growl softly at my words.
“I had no choice he made me.”
“No, he didn’t. You had a choice. You took pleasure in everything you did you sadistic asshole!” I screamed at him. I flicked the whip and lashed his legs. He screamed in pain as they gave way and he dangled from his arms.
“What’s the matter Trent? Can’t take the pain? Well just imagine this pain repeatedly for an entire year!”
“What do you think? Should I repeat everything you’ve ever done to me? I think it’s only fair. And maybe I won’t stop there. Maybe I’ll enact things Dimitri did as well.” Another lash let loose. His screams music to my ears.
“Strip him.” I motioned Sean over, who looked at me a little oddly. I glared at him, daring him to contradict me.
Sean tore Trent’s clothes from his body, leaving him naked to our eyes.
“Wow.” I laughed at the sight of him. “Is this why you never took part in it all? Because of your slight size issue.” I laugh as he snarled at me.
My grin faded as I got a brief flash back of all the men that groped me. My hand lifted as I remembered every one of those dirty fingers that entered my body. Testing the merchandise, making sure I was tight enough for them.
I rained down lashes on Trent’s body, focusing on his legs and puny cock, my mind lost in the past. I wasn’t even aware of what I was doing at that moment. I just kept hitting him. Remembering every beating he gave me, every taunt, every painful thing he’d ever done. I just kept swinging. I didn’t notice when Trent fainted from the pain. I didn’t notice my voice was breaking from how much I was screaming, my muscles shaking from the ferocity of my blows.
I was brought back to reality when Sean grabbed my arm as I was about to lash him again. “Ember, stop. That’s enough. He’s passed out.” I snap back, blinking furiously as my eyes focus on Sean’s. I let out a sob and Sean quickly wrapped me in a hug, keeping me from collapsing. I sob into his chest.
“I didn’t think it would be this hard.”
“I know Emmy.” Sean stroked my hair. “It’ll be ok. You are so strong. I can’t imagine what this must take. Even if you are repaying him for everything, you still relive moments of it.” I nodded staring over his shoulder at Trent who was hanging from the ceiling and dripping with blood. Large, gaping lashes covered his abdomen, shoulders, and thighs; those were rapidly healing. One of his balls was so far gone it was hanging by a tendril of flesh. That gives me an idea. They sterilized me. Time to castrate him.
“Chain him to the bed.”
“Em, you need to take a break.” A grave expression on Sean’s face.
“I’m not done yet!” I shouted at him. “You have no idea what they did to me!” My voice broke, croaking mid-way through my sentence.
Sean didn’t argue. Instead, he unchained Trent and threw him on the bed, re-chaining his arms.
“His legs too. And get a bucket of cold water.”
I grabbed a syringe of wolfsbane. “What’s the dosage?” I waved the needle at Sean.
“Enough to prolong healing.”
I took the bucket of cold water that a guard had brought Sean and dumped it over Trent. He awoke with a gasp, sputtering out pink tinged water that had made its way in his mouth and up his nose. His eyes sought mine as he started coming around. His lash wounds were almost healed, thanks to his wolf. Maybe I’ll take that next.
“Have a nice nap?”
“You bitch!” He spat at me.
“That’s not very nice. I’m just repaying you for all your kindness.” A sardonic smile pulling at my lips.
“You remember when Dimitri decided he wanted to sell me to the highest bidder? How you would have show and tell for the buyer?” Trent’s face paling more if possible. I was so focused on Trent that I didn’t see Sean whip around to look at me, shock gracing his face.
“Do you remember watching them as they felt me up? Come to think of it, you got a little excited yourself.” I heard a faint growl, but it didn’t sound like Sean.
Weird.
“You remember when he branded me?” I smirked watching his eyes widen in terror. I withdrew a small, sharp knife, letting the metal sing as it dragged off the table.
I walked towards Trent in slow, deliberate steps before straddling him around his knees. I lightly drew on his skin with the knife, up one thigh and down the other. He bucked and squirmed trying to get me off, but Sean had made the restraints tight. I grabbed his arm and stabbed the syringe of wolfsbane into him, injecting it. Now he won’t heal fast enough to prevent scarring.
“Now you’ll know how it felt.” I slowly began to carve my name into his flesh. Ember on the right thigh, Rose on the left. His screams falling on deaf ears. By the time I was done, he was on the brink of passing out again. But I wanted him to hear and fear my next words.
I grabbed his chin in my hand and growled in his face. “Maybe on my next visit, I’ll rape you just like he did to me. I saw a nice spike covered rod over there. Bet that would feel real nice in your ass. And when I’m done; I’ll yank that useless dick off your body.” His terrified eyes slipped back in his head as he passed out.
A powerful, angry growl shook the room. The sound of things crashing and breaking followed. I snapped my head up and glanced at Sean who looked away not wanting to meet my eyes.
“You said we were alone. You bastard!” I gritted out, desperately fighting the urge to punch him. I knew he was hiding something.
“I’m sorry Ember. He wanted to make sure you would be ok. I wouldn’t have been able to keep him out even if I wanted to!”
I scoffed. ” Aren’t you the alpha? You could have. You just didn’t want to.”
“He’s my best friend and brother, Ember. I couldn’t do that to him.” Sean pleaded.
“I know. He just wasn’t ready to hear it yet.” I sighed.
“He wasn’t? Or you weren’t?” Sean raised his eyebrow at me before turning and exiting the room.
A/N
Was there to much gore? And uh oh. Angry wolf alert! 😱
