Whispers Turn to Whimpers: Could He Ever Change?

Chapter 803

Standing in the stairwell, Sherilyn put away her phone and glanced at Yuna. "What's going on?"

"Listen up!" Yuna said, her chin held high, exuding an air of authority. "First, hand over the car keys! That's my car, and I'm taking it now! Second, you've turned my house into chaos! I'm warning you, stay away from Galen! He's my brother, and he has nothing to do with you!"

Sherilyn was taken aback for a moment. Malvina was bad enough, but who knew she'd have a daughter who was both foolish and malicious!

Sherilyn let out a soft laugh, shaking her head. "Let's wait for Galen to get here before we discuss this."

She didn't want to argue; she just wanted to wait for Galen's arrival.

"Why wait for him?" Yuna was incredulous, her eyes widening in disbelief. "You won't agree? How dare you refuse? What right do you have to refuse?"

"And what right do I have to agree?" Sherilyn replied, amused. "Yuna, at least your mom pretends to be virtuous when she's taking someone else's things. You, on the other hand, are downright blatant. A daylight robbery?"

"What does my mom have to do with this?" Yuna was furious, her temper flaring. "What did my mom take from you? That's nonsense!"

"Don't you know?" Sherilyn raised an eyebrow, her gaze sharp but her tone casual. "Your mom's man was taken. Your family's chain of supermarkets was taken too."

Her tone grew serious, yet remained light. "Don't even mention Galen just giving me a car; even if he handed the entire Martin family over to me, I'd accept it without hesitation."

"You!" Yuna was at a loss for words, pointing at Sherilyn in disbelief. "Oh wow! A car isn't enough for you! You want the whole Martin family! Sherilyn, you're truly shameless!" Sherilyn frowned, taken aback. Compared to Malvina, this Yuna truly was 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree'!

Why waste words on someone like this?

Sherilyn had no interest in continuing the conversation. She glanced at her phone as Galen's call came through and swiped to answer. "Hey, Galen."

"Sis!" Galen's voice was anxious on the other end. "I'll be there in ten minutes. Are you alright? Yuna hasn't done anything to you, has she?" Sherilyn glanced at Yuna. "No."

"Sis, put it on speaker!"

"Alright." Sherilyn complied, switching to speakerphone.

Galen's voice filled the stairwell.

"Yuna! Why are you harassing

Sherilyn? I'll be there shortly! Sl

causing trouble! Otherwise, I cut off your allowance!"

He ordered firmly. "Right now, go to the main gate of Sunset Ridge Community! No arguments!"

"Galen!" Yuna began, trying to protest.

But Sherilyn lifted her phone, cutting her off. "He's already hung up."

Yuna's face flushed with anger, then

paled,

she vented her frustration

Sherilyn. "Don't Tetion

"Shall we?" Sherilyn shrugged, "Galen

allowance is gone."

"Sherilyn! Ah..."

One moment Yuna was seething with anger; the next, she let out a scream. What happened?

Sherilyn whipped around, her eyes widening in shock, disbelief filling her gaze!

Yuna, who had been standing securely at the top of the stairs, just two steps away, suddenly fell! "Yuna!"

Sherilyn's first instinct was to reach out to her.

Her fingertips brushed Yuna's arm, but she couldn't grip it, and Yuna tumbled down the stairs! "Ah ah ah..."

Yuna's screams echoed through the stairwell.

"Yuna!"
