Chapter 5

My father’s cry was drowned out by the crowd.

His firm figure walked through the crowd towards me, followed by a group of policemen. Seeing the familiar face, my tears completely went out of control.

The pain gradually came to me, and I trembled violently.

The police rushed onto the stage and took away all the security guards of Stephany’s group. Stephany’s hand froze in mid–air because of the sudden change.

She didn’t hear my father’s words clearly, so she turned her head and threw herself into

arms with a grievance.

She said with snot and tears that I bullied her and hurt her in public.

Everything she did was for self–protection.

However, before she could finish her words, she was pushed down by my dad.

Her arms were propped up on the table. When she touched the remaining sulfuric acid, her face scrunched up in pain.

Tears welled up in Stephany’s eyes. She turned to my dad and cursed.

“Are you crazy? Are you going to fall out with me because of this bitch?”

“Don’t you remember what day it is today? Have you been seduced by her?”

My dad was so angry that his face turned red and his chest rose and fell violently.

He glared at Stephany.

Just as he was about to say something, he saw her pick up the phone that was being broadcast live. She cried in front of the camera.

“Look carefully! How capable is this mistress! Now my husband has completely turned against me!” As soon as she finished speaking, my father snatched the phone and smashed it into pieces on the spot.

The live broadcast finally came to an end.

“Stephany, do you know what you’re doing?!”

Stephany was frightened by his action, and a trace of panic flashed across her face.

Then, she was enraged and broke down, shouting, “What am I doing? I know what you mean by choosing this place! Isn’t it just for your little bitch?! What am I? A clown to entertain you two?“” “What do you take me for? Tell me!”

As soon as she finished speaking, the quiet atmosphere at the scene instantly exploded. Several students from the dorm next door were sitting in the front row and discussing loudly.

“No wonder I haven’t seen Lynn for two years. It turns out that she finds a sugar daddy and doesn’t have to go to school!”

“Don’t take such a shortcut. Look, she’s about to lose her life!”

At this moment, my dad was squatting in front of me, busy calling emergency services for me: He ignored Stephany, who had gone mad.

However, she did not give up. She reached out and tugged at my father’s sleeve.

She sounded like she was about to cry.

you hear me? Even these students understand. Do you think I’m an idiot?”

“We’ve been together for a year and I’ve never seen anyone in your family. I can only hear

about your daughter. Am I not worthy?!”

“She didn’t show up at our wedding today. You never wanted to be with me all the time! You’re fucking playing with my feelings!”

Her last sentence was almost at the top of her voice.

But my dad’s eyes were full of my wounds, and there was only worry on his face.

Guilt engulfed him and he didn’t have the mood to explain a word to Stephany.

Getting no response, Stephany gradually lost her mind.

At this time, the ambulance arrived at the school gate.

My dad picked me up in front of everyone. Just as he was about to leave, he was blocked by Stephany. She was so angry that her facial features were distorted and she looked ferocious.

“Fabio, are you crazy? Today is our wedding! A wedding!”
