Chapter 29

“I’ll put the shares aside for now, but you must transfer 20% of the Star&Ciel Group shares to your sister.”

When Lucille saw her father playing favorites again, she was stunned. She nearly thought she was hallucinating.

Narrowing her eyes, she said coldly, “Can you repeat that?”

William said indignantly, “Your mother married into the Johnson family. Even though she’s dead, she’s still a Johnson. The company that she established is a marital asset. Now, I want you to transfer 20% of its shares to your sister. It is completely reasonable, and you have to do it even if you don’t want to.”

Samuel was dumbfounded!

A shameless person was impossible to reason with. The Johnson family had completely ruined his faith in humanity. He couldn’t believe that someone could say such a bewildering thing.

Instantly, the air turned frosty. Everyone couldn’t help but shudder.

“It is completely reasonable, you say?” Lucille said coldly. Her icy gaze pierced straight through William’s adamant demeanor.

“Do you have brain damage?” she continued ruthlessly.

How dare he ask her to give Sabrina 20% of her company’s shares? It was practically giving half the company to her!

It was an utterly shameless daylight robbery!

“I think you should all go back to bed and dream on!” Her gaze swept over the four of them, finally lingering on Sabrina.

It went without saying that Sabrina must have shed some alligator tears in front of their father and grandfather. If not, why would they suddenly come asking for the Star&Ciel Group shares? It had nothing to do with the Johnson family in the first place!

Her gaze stayed on Sabrina as she spoke icily, “Some people just want to be freeloaders, but it’s time for them to wake up. I’m in the mood to yell at people today, but I’m afraid you’re not even human, so I won’t

bother.”

Sabrina was speechless. Lucille was such a bitch. She was insulting her in a roundabout way!

However, she couldn’t get mad. In front of Horace and William, she was always the considerate big sister.

She instantly acted meek and sad. “Lucille, I would never-

When Ivy saw this, she immediately held her beloved daughter. While giving Lucille a wary look, she said, What do you think you’re doing to Bree?

“You’re the reason she attempted suicide, and you even dumped her into that icy lake to try to drown her. My daughter hates the cold; it took a long time for her to recover. I won’t let you hurt her again.”

Seeing Ivy so alarmed, Samuel couldn’t stop himself from rolling his eyes. Lucille had never done anything to her in the first place.

Lucille turned a deaf ear to Ivy’s words and let her say whatever she wanted.

When she saw Horace and William open their mouths, she coldly ordered, “Samuel, call security!”

“Yes, Ms. Johnson,” Samuel answered at once.

This time, Lucille walked away without faltering. She paid no mind to the people yelling behind her.

William shouted at Samuel, “I am the CEO of the Johnson Group and the father of your boss. How dare you throw me out?”

Samuel remained unmoved. With a light wave of his hand, he called several security guards in.

“Mr. Sawyer.”

Samuel glanced at these stunted, shameless people. “Throw them out!” he said indifferently.

The security guards easily grabbed them and kicked them out one by one.

“Ouch!” Ivy cried out.

“Mom, are you alright?” Sabrina asked with concern, helping Ivy up.

Meanwhile, Horace and William were so angry that their necks had turned red.

Samuel stood in front of them and looked down at them. At the side, four security guards stood at the

door.

He let out a cough and announced loudly, “From now on, these four people are not allowed inside. This is to keep our entryway clean. If not, the janitor will have to spend a long time cleaning this place.”

“Yes, Mr. Sawyer,” the guards chorused.

“Yes, Mr. Sawyer,” the receptionist echoed.

Deep down, the janitor thanked Samuel for this.

The Johnsons were speechless. Finally, Horace couldn’t stand the humiliation anymore. He snorted coldly and stormed off.

Ivy and Sabrina hurried after him. Right before the latter left, a look of hatred and jealousy filled her eyes.

In the CEO’s office upstairs, Lucille immediately got into the zone to work. She remained unaffected by her family’s antics.

Not long after, Samuel walked in. “Ms. Johnson, we’ve kicked them out.”

Lucille hummed quietly then asked, “Did you manage to look into the hotels under the Sanders Corporation?”

Samuel had received the investigation results last night. “Yes. The Sanders Corporation hotel chain used to partner with a company called the Carmella Group. Their primary product line is reed diffusers, but they haven’t had any new products in research and development for years now.

“Ever since Mr. Sanders took over the management of the hotels, he has been very dissatisfied with

Carmella’s products, so he wants to switch them out. Coincidentally, the contract between the Carmella Group

and the Sanders Corporation expires next month. As of now, there doesn’t seem to be any issues.”

Lucille leaned back in her chair while placing her chin on one hand. After a moment of deep thought, she finally asked Samuel, “What do you think of Charles?”
