Chapter 208

Naomi looked at Rosalind with great interest and said, “Just pillow talk? Well, it seems like it’s indeed not difficult for me.

“But why should I help you?“.

Naomi chuckled softly. “If I help you, what’s in it for me?”

Rosalind took a deep breath and spoke again, “Once I marry Dillon, there will naturally be plenty of benefits for you.”

Rosalind replied. “Dillon said that once I find my parents, and after our parents discuss the marriage, he will give me shares as a betrothal gift. Then I will transfer some shares to you.

“Naomi, all you need to do is just say a few words. Shawn dotes on you so much that he just needs to give an order and everything will be solved. But for me, it really means a lot.

“Naomi, as long as you help me this time, I will always remember your kindness.

“Once I marry Dillon, there will naturally be plenty of benefits for you.

“Naomi, my dear, you’ve helped me so much before. Can you help me one more time?”

Naomi stared at her with a smile, lightly tapping her fingers on the table. She didn’t say anything. just smiled enigmatically.

After a while, she said slowly. “I’ll think about it!

“Rosalind, if you have nothing else, then get out!”

“Naomi!” Rosalind called out, eager to say more.

“I told you to get out. Are you deaf?” Naomi repeated.

Rosalind bit her lip, swallowing the words she was about to say. She left, looking back every few

steps,

After Rosalind left, Naomi turned on her computer again. She reviewed all the recent reports of Naomi Design. The cooperation with Edwards Group had completely fallen through, but Jessie gave her another contract.

There was no doubt that Alfred instructed Jessie to make the new contract. Over the years, Alfred had been managing Edwards Group while secretly starting his own business with Jessie. So, even if he left Edwards Group, he would still be a company president,

Naomi hadn’t signed the contract yet. Her mind was in turmoil, and she hadn’t decided how to get along with Alfred.

“Ring… ring… The sudden sound of her phone ringing brought Naomi back to reality. She had

changed her ringtone several times, finally settling on a default system tone. The screen displayed Alfred’s name, but she hesitated. The ringtone continued until it automatically hung up. After a while, it rang again, this time showing Jessie’s nam

Naomi closed her eyes, After hesitating for a while, she answered the phone. “Hello, Jessie.”

“Naomi, it’s me,” Alfred’s cautious voice came through. “Please don’t hang up. I stole Jessie’s phone to make this call.

“Naomi, it’s okay if you don’t want to see me, but please sign the contract. I’m begging you.”

Naomi remained silent.

Not hearing any response, Alfred couldn’t help but glance at his phone to check. Seeing it hadn’t been hung up, he assumed she didn’t want to talk to him.

Alfred felt an overwhelming sadness. Holding the phone, he looked at Jessie, who turned her head away, avoiding his.

gaze.

Alfred felt aggrieved and humbled. “Naomi, if you don’t like me, then I won’t show up. phone back. Please don’t tell Jessie that I stole her phone to call you.”

Naomi still didn’t speak. She put down the phone and ended the call. Her mind felt even more chaotic.

Jessie’s words echoed in her ears again. “Naomi, Alfred has been looking for you all this time. He has always loved you, his beloved sister, and has never forgotten.

“Alfred said something when he saved me back then.

“He said he would do his best to help every girl in trouble, hoping that wherever his sister might be, some kind–hearted people would also help her.”

Naomi closed her eyes, trying to remove those words from her mind. But no matter how hard she tried, those voices kept echoing in her ears.

Naomi suddenly stood up, feeling restless and agitated. She left the study, went downstairs, and immediately left the Edwards manor, Driving her white Ferrari at high speed, she rushed to the Fischer Group building.

After getting out of the car, Naomi walked into the Fischer Group building without hesitation, instinctively entering the CEO’s private elevator. She reached the sixty–third floor and then, step by step, walked into the CEO’s office.

Shawn was in a meeting. The large office was filled with the scent of gardenia, a smell that never existed when she was Shawn’s personal assistant.

Breathing in the scent of gardenia, Naomi sat in her former position. Even though she was no longer Shawn’s personal assistant, he had never had her place removed.

Naomi took out her sketchpad and tried to sketch some comics, but she was too distracted and

dissatisfied with her work, so she deleted it.

Feeling upset and unfocused, Naomi decided to stop drawing. She picked up her iPad and opened. her own comic, reading through the fans‘ comments. She then selected a few to reply to.

In the fan group, everyone was fervently discussing whether the comic could still be successfully developed after Naomi’s collaboration with Edward Group fell through.

Naomi joined the fan group and reassured them not to worry. She informed them that although she was no longer collaborating with Edwards Group, she had started to cooperate with Fischer Groups.

Naomi wouldn’t need to travel to Back anymore and could stay in Atopan to work with the team. However, the comic required many scenic illustrations, meaning there would still be a lot of traveling for location scouting.

The director she was working with was a well–known name in the industry, and the actors were top stars, making it a budget production. Compared to Edwards Group, Fischer Group was much more willing to invest heavily in their project.

After Naomi chatted with her fans for a while, Shawn returned. His face was cold and stern, exuding a chilling aura. As soon as he entered, the temperature in the office seemed to drop abruptly.

Naomi stood up. “Mr. Fischer.”

Shawn’s gaze fell on her face, and his icy eyes gradually softened, “Come here.”

Naomi walked up to him. Shawn reached out, pulling her into his embrace. His kisses landed gently on her lips, not rushed but leaving her breathless. She clutched his shirt with both hands, standing on tiptoe to meet his kiss.

When the kiss ended, the coldness in Shawn’s eyes had completely disappeared. “Today, you finally

decided to come over.”

Naomi couldn’t help but laugh. “When have 1 ever been reluctant to come?”

Shawn stared at her. Her eyes were clear and honest, showing no signs of lying. He didn’t expose her lie because from the very beginning, he never intended to trap her by his side as a mindless sugar baby

“Help me sort out these reports,” Shawn said,

Okay.” Naomi took the stack of reports, sat down at her desk, and started working on her computer. She had done this kind of work many times before, so it was easy for her.

Shawn sat back in his chair and stared at her.

He recently received an e–mail containing photos of Naomi and Richard together, as well as audio files of their conversations.

The email had been carefully processed before being sent to him, making it impossible to trace the sender’s IP address. So, Shawn didn’t bother to investigate further.

He was well aware of the sender’s intentions, but he trusted Naomi. Nonetheless, he felt a bit uneasy, so he asked Chandler to investigate Richard.

Naomi was the kind of person who, when treated with the slightest kindness, felt compelled to repay it a hundred or a thousand times over. From their first meeting, Richard had shown her goodwill, and she couldn’t help but feel grateful to him. However, it was nothing more than gratitude. Besides, goodwill didn’t have any chemistry with her.

Shawn withdrew his gaze from her and permanently deleted the email.

When Naomi concentrated on her work, she was genuinely serious. She frowned slightly and tapped the keyboard with her fingers. While looking at the data on the report, she made a statistical

sunimary.

She quickly finished sorting out the reports. After double–checking to ensure there were no issues, she brought them to Shawn and said, “Mr. Fischer, it’s done.”

Shawn nodded slightly. “Don’t you have anything to say to me?”

Naomi was stunned for a moment. “You know about Rosalind asking me to have a pillow talk with you?”

She was really surprised, thinking that Rosalind shouldn’t have the ability to do that now.

“Pillow talk?” Shawn stared at her and said, “It’s still early, but if you want, we can go to the sixty- fourth floor.”

Naomi was speechless and then replied, “There’s no need for that.

“I thought you already knew, Mr. Fischer.”

I’m not interested in any other women except you, Shawn said indifferently as he signed each of

reports Naomi had organized. “Alfred came to me and showed me the paternity test.

“Rodney and Lesley went to Spring Villa, begging to see you, but Carla refused them.

“Rodney and Lesley don’t know you are their daughter yet. Alfred said that if you don’t want to acknowledge them, you don’t have to.”

Shawn looked up at her and said, “Naomi, if you are not willing, I will send Alfred back.”

Naomi shook her head. ‘I don’t want to acknowledge them.

“But Atopan doesn’t belong to me alone, so where he is doesn’t really matter to me.

“Shawn, my mind is in turmoil.”

“Then let’s go to the sixty–fourth floor. After signing the last report, Shawn stood up and pulled her

into the elevator. Upon arriving on the sixty–fourth floor, he led her straight into the kitchen. “Let’s cook first.”

Naomi was speechless.

Cooking was naturally her task, as Shawn would never do such things. Naomi had no complaints. She rolled up her sleeves and began to cook, but the next second, Shawn hugged her from behind.

“I’m hungry,” he murmured, his voice deep and alluring.

Naomi’s heart skipped a beat, and her hand holding the knife trembled slightly. “I’m cooking!”

“I can’t wait,” Shawn said as he grasped her hand, setting the knife down. He turned her to face him, lifted her onto the countertop, and fixed her with his blue, piercing gaze. His sensuous lips pressed directly onto hers.

Naomi’s mind buzzed, and before she could react, Shawn’s deep, magnetic voice sounded again. “Didn’t you want to have pillow talk with me? Now is the perfect time.”

Naomi’s cheeks flushed instantly, and she felt even more flustered. She reached out to push him away, but Shawn’s large hand enveloped hers, his gaze burning intensely.
