Chapter 152
Chapter 152 Bringing Her Water
Hearing Sariah's heart-wrenching cries, Hanson felt as if his heart was being torn apart.
He quickly reassured her, "Sariah, don't worry. Dad will figure something out. Just make sure to take good care of yourself!"
It was a rare opportunity for the father and daughter duo to have a conversation. Sariah was about to say something more when suddenly, a vulgar voice yelled from a distance, "Stop slacking off! Get back to work! Who do you think you are, a spoiled young lady of some wealthy family? No one's going to pamper you here!"
Sariah hurriedly lowered her voice and said her goodbyes, "Dad, I have to get back to work now, so I can't talk anymore. You must pick me up as soon as possible!"
Before Hanson could give Sariah a few more reminders, the call was hurriedly disconnected, leaving only a busy tone behind.
Lexie stared blankly for a moment, then suddenly fell to the ground with a thudding sound, tears streaming down her face.
"My poor Sariah, my dear daughter... How can anyone live like this? Oh, my unfortunate daughter..."

Hanson was annoyed by her crying and scolded, "Stop crying! What's the use of crying?"
Women always seem to know how to cry and whine, but they can't come up with a single solution!
This time, Lexie wasn't intimidated by him. Wiping away a tear, she stubbornly said, "Then you tell me! What do we do now? How can we save Sariah?"
Hanson clenched his fists tightly and gritted his teeth, saying, "For Sariah's sake, I have no choice. but to swallow my pride and seek out that despicable woman."
Aylin had no idea how many times her name had been mentioned by others. She was sitting on the couch, browsing through the latest haute couture collection from Louis Vuitton for this quarter when suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"Ms. Koch, there's someone looking for you outside."
Aylin's eyebrows slightly furrowed, "Come in."
At this time, there weren't many people who would come to her house. Aylin looked up and, as expected, saw Hanson and Lexie with apologetic smiles and faces full of flattery.
Perhaps feeling a bit awkward himself, Hanson chuckled and tried to hide his uneasiness, "Well, Aylin, I just got discharged from the hospital and wanted to come see you."
Aylin closed the book, her elegant and cool beauty raising an eyebrow, "Thank me?"

Hanson placed the gift he was carrying on the table. "Well, remember that day when I was in trouble because of those young thugs? You were the one who called the ambulance for me. I still remember that. So, I came here specifically to thank you.
Aylin didn't bother being polite and said directly, "You should thank me. Betty, go ahead and take
it."
Hanson's mouth twitched with anger, but he dared not speak out.
He thought about it for a long time in the hospital, and the more he thought about it, the more he felt that he was beaten because of his involvement with Aylin. Yet, infuriatingly, he still had to put on a brave face and thank her!
However, for Sariah's sake, he had to endure.
Seeing that she didn't directly order him to leave, Hanson thought there was still room for negotiation. Rubbing his hands together, he said, "Aylin... through this situation, I can see that you're actually a good kid.
Between us, there might be some misunderstandings. Actually, I really care about you. When you
were little, I even-"
"Enough."
Aylin didn't fall for this emotional tactic at all. "If you have something to say, say it. If not, just
leave. I'm very busy."
Hanson's reputation had long been bad for her. The cruise ship explosion was related to him, on the day of the death anniversary, the car's brakes mysteriously malfunctioned.
She didn't think he was completely free from any
fault.
Bringing up those old stories now to win her favor and sympathy is simply a fool's dream!
Aylin was quite impatient, while Hanson's face turned from pale to white.
He endures it!
and
Hanson pursed his lips, took two steps forward, bent down, and humbly said, "Aylin, here's the thing... Sariah has been in the countryside for some time now, and she has trained herself enough. She has deeply reflected on her actions. Do you think we could bring her back?"
Lexie chimed in, "Yeah, Sariah has had a tough life in the countryside. As the saying goes, let bygones be bygones. Since she realizes her mistake, please forgive her this time."
"How can one prove self-reflection?"
Aylin's face was cold and expressionless.
Hanson hurriedly took out his phone and called Sariah on the spot, "Sariah, quickly, apologize to Aylin!"
"Aylin, Aylin, I know I was wrong! I won't mess around anymore."
Sariah, who had already conspired with Hanson, sobbed uncontrollably. Even though she was filled with hatred and gritted her teeth, her tone sounded genuinely remorseful. "These days, I've been working so hard in the countryside, enduring so much hardship. I truly realize how foolish I was
before."
"Sorry Aylin, please forgive me and let me go back!"
One by one, they called her Aylin, as if they were all so close to her.
Aylin felt utterly nauseated while listening.
She raised her eyebrows coldly, "She has indeed been here for quite a few days."
"Yes, yes!"
Upon hearing that there was a chance, Hanson eagerly seized the opportunity and said with a smile, "So Aylin, please let Sariah come back. Don't worry! I'll definitely give her a good lesson when we return. You'll see-"
"Bringing her back would be fine too," Aylin said nonchalantly.
Lexie's eyes lit up, not expecting it to be so easy. Surprised, she exclaimed, "Really? Oh Aylin, I knew you were a good kid. Let's send someone right away-"
Before the words could even fall, Aylin interrupted again.
The woman's voice was cold and clear, "What's the rush? I haven't finished stating my request
yet."
Hanson's forehead twitched, "W-What kind of request?"
Aylin took a sip of her juice, and began speaking at a leisurely pace. Her expression was indifferent, as if she was discussing the weather. However, the words that came out of her mouth almost made Hanson lose his composure.
"You can't skimp on the work that needs to be done, but if you want to come back early, that's fine. Just come over every day to help me fetch water for washing my feet; I could really use some
assistance.
Carrying bags while shopping and cleaning the room were all handed over to her."
Hanson and Lexie said, "What?"
