Unrivaled Dragon Lord

Chapter 77: It’s Me! Transfer Some Money to Me!

Harriet noticed the change of Maxwell's expressions and curled her red lips, "What do you know?"

"I..." Maxwell was stunned and smiled awkwardly, "I know nothing."

"It's not like that. Your reactions reveal that you definitely know about something." Harriet stared at Maxwell with great interest and asked in an alluring voice, "Could it be that you know who the person behind HT Group is?"

"Impossible. I learned from you about the plummet of the stocks of Sandoval Group. How could I know about the pusher behind all these?" Maxwell shook his head and said with a smile.

Thoughtfully, Harriet stared at Maxwell for a while but failed to detect any weird trace from Maxwell's eyes.

"Well." Harriet nodded and continued, "Then tell me, do you have a suspect in mind?"

"How can I know about it? I'm busy with my housework every day and never intervene in Greta's work." Maxwell shook his head.

"What are you talking about?" A voice that was charming and pleasant to ears sounded from the second floor and then an enchanting beauty walked gracefully downstairs.

Maxwell looked over following the sound, only to see a pair of good-looking feet which were wearing a pair of sandals and had been manicured.

Maxwell shifted his gaze along the tender, sexy feet upwards and saw a pair of stunningly slender, long legs.

"Greta, you're awake." Harriet smiled, "I and Matthew were guessing about who was the one behind HT Group."

"He?" Greta threw a glance at Maxwell, "Why are you discussing this with him? Oh my..."

"Can't we discuss it?" Harriet rolled her eyes at Greta in an enchanting manner. Greta glanced at Maxwell and asked, "Do you understand it?"

"I'm not as talented as you, Ms. Greta." Maxwell was stunned for a while and proceeded to suck up to her without hesitation.

"He has no knowledge about this. Why did you discuss this with him? Can he raise the money?" Greta said.

She glanced dismissively at Maxwell who was acting reverently by the side. Maxwell only had a maintenance of 20,000 per month, how could he really be able to raise that much money? The Sandoval Group had no other choice at present. Only money could save the company.

But it needed a large amount of money. Even Greta, the top beauty in the business community of Ocean City and Derrick, a big wig in the business world, were powerless in the face of this problem. The solution to the crisis of Sandoval Group was a large amount of money, which was beyond imagination.

Nevertheless, in this critical moment, everyone thought Sandoval Group was doomed to bankruptcy. Who would be willing to lend money to the company?

The night closed in and it was midnight unknowingly. In the villa, Harriet and Greta was sitting on the sofa and watching a variety show on TV, talking and laughing from time to time... while Maxwell was slicing up an apple with a fruit knife. He then carefully arranged them into a fruit tray and handed it to the two ladies.

"Oh, you have good skill of cutting up fruits." Harriet looked up at Maxwell.

Maxwell had superb cutting technique and every piece of sliced apple was moderately thin, as if they had been cut by a machine. Ordinary people could barely achieve this.

"I'm sleepy. I'll go upstairs to have a rest first." Harriet stretched and yawned lazily. She then wiggled her sexy body and walked gracefully up to the second floor.

"Greta, it's late now. You should go to bed too." Maxwell said ingratiatingly.

"You go first. I want to stay for a longer while." Greta shook her head with a touch of complicated emotion flashing across her delicate face.

"Well." Maxwell nodded, turned around and walked towards the spiral stairs.

After the leaving of Harriet and Maxwell, Greta stood to her feet elegantly and walked towards the windows.

She looked out of the window with a heavy heart.

The night was pressing up against the windows and looked extremely dark, just like the future of Sandoval Group which was full of uncertainty and unknown challenges. Even Greta had no idea about whether the company could survive the crisis tomorrow.

Would there be a favorable turn?

If there wasn't a favorable turn, Sandoval Group would definitely meet its end!

According to the estimation of the crisis team of the group, as the company's stock price had been plummeting to a very low price... it may go bankruptcy in several hours...

"No... There will be a favorable turn..." Greta murmured. She and his father had established the Sandoval Group back then and had gone through various challenges with the company... They hadn't even figured out who was the one behind HT Group, how could the company go bankruptcy this easily?

Maxwell walked into the bedroom and produced his phone to make a call.

"Hello, boss. I'm drinking with a European princess. Are you coming?" A young man's voice as well as some noises came from the other end of the phone.

"I want you to investigate whether there's anything abnormal with HT Group recently." Maxwell said in a calm voice.

"HT Group? Roger. Please wait for several minutes." The young man responded. After several minutes, his voice sounded at the other end of the phone again, "HT Group has been suffering losses in recent years... Oh, ten billion was transferred into the chairman's bank account last night."

A trace of sharpness flashed across Maxwell's deep-set eyes. The young man paused for a moment and then continued, "There is not only a remittance. There are several remittances which each includes ten billion. And they were all transferred from a bank account in Beijing..."

"Beijing..." Maxwell murmured and suddenly exuded a horrifying aura, which then shrouded the whole room. He was like a sharp sword that was unsheathed and was like a demon from the hell, looking cold and terrifying!

"How much is left in the bank account of our organization." Maxwell asked slowly in a cold voice.

The young man was stunned and replied, "Boss, our organization is now engaging in militarized nanometer weapons... There is not much working capital left in our account... Only dozens of millions were left..."

"Terminate the cooperation right away. I want money, right now!" Maxwell said in a clam yet indisputable tone!

"Boss... It is about nanometer. If we give up now, we'll have to suffer a loss of several billions... This is a great loss." The young man replied in a hesitant tone, hoping Maxwell to consider about it again. "There's no time left... Transfer all the money into my account." Maxwell said firmly with a cold look. The aura he was exuding at the moment that was carried in his voice made the young man felt familiar. This was the real face of his boss, the man who had led him to survive various battles.

"Roger." Although the young man begrudged the money, he knew deep down that Maxwell was a man who could differentiate what was more important. If he had not encountered something urgent, he would not have made such a decision.

"Boss, is it worthy to do so?" The young man suddenly seemed to realize something and asked gingerly.

"Of course it's worthy."

"You did all these for the sake of a woman... Boss, with your identity, you can get any kind of women you like... Just don't back yourself into a corner..." The young man whined out. He was defending Maxwell at the moment as he knew Greta's attitude towards Maxwell.

"Remember, she's my wife. Since she is encountering difficulties now, I should do her some favors. I can earn money in the future even if I suffer a loss now, but I only have a wife." Maxwell hung up the phone and looked out of the windows, fixating his gaze on the tall buildings afar.

He was sleepless the whole night.

On the early morning of the next day, when Maxwell went downstairs, he noticed that Greta was sleeping quietly on the sofa. Her hair was slightly messy and her plump breasts were heaving up and down. Greta had been sleepless last night and she only fell into sound sleep in the midnight as she couldn't resist the drowsiness any longer.

Maxwell curled his lips into a pampering smile when he saw Greta's delicate face. He took a quilt and gently put it on Greta's curvy body.

Greta's phone suddenly buzzed at the moment and she suddenly opened her eyes.

Maxwell paused and turned around. It turned out to be the harsh sounds of the alarm.

"What time is it?" Greta rubbed her eyes and took a glance at her phone to check the time.

"It's nine now, Greta." Maxwell replied.

"Nine...Nine?" Greta was a bit petrified... She hadn't expected that she was just taking a nap, and it was already nine o'clock when she woke up. Having no time to thinking about it, Greta hastily washed up herself, took a sandwich and ruched out of the luxurious mansion.

"Greta, Leila is still not recovered. Let me give you a ride." Maxwell chased after her.

"Start the engine quickly." Greta didn't want to talk nonsense with Maxwell and urged him.

"Okay. Greta, fasten the seat belt." Maxwell smiled.

"Why should I fasten the belt?" Greta was a bit confused. She then added, "If you fail to arrive at Sandoval Tower before 9:15, I'll teach you a lesson."

Just as Greta had finished the words, Maxwell suddenly stepped on the accelerator and the Maybach streaked off on the road.

Nevertheless, Greta, who was sitting on a backseat, hadn't fastened the belt yet. She was panicked at the moment and was bumping left and right due to the inertia with her hair cascading messily on her back Greta's face turned pale. She hadn't expected that Maxwell would dare to drive at such a high speed during the morning peak. Was he seeking death?

"S...Stop! Slow down!" Greta exclaimed in a flustered tone, her face turning pale.

But Maxwell ignored her words. As a matter of fact, if he really followed her order, how could they arrive at Sandoval Tower before 9:15?

"Bastard!" Greta suddenly screamed. Maxwell quickly turned the steering wheel to dodge the cars.

A traffic warden was on the duty at the crossroad and the sudden sharp sound of the stridulating of tires and the ground instantly attracted his attention.

At the next moment, a Maybach flashed in front of him, bringing a fierce gush of wind that blew away his hat.

"Stop. Over speed!" The traffic warden roared and subconsciously tried to remember the license plate numbers, yet only to find out that the Maybach had disappeared from his vision.

Many drivers gasped as the orderly line of cars that were waiting for the traffic light were disorganized by the sudden appearance of that Maybach.

There actually had a person who had superb driving skill in Ocean City! His driving technique was just like his personality, imposing and arrogant!☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
