Unexpected Encounter with my Boss (Vincent and Tiffany)

Chapter 91

"Mr. Lewis, our relationship is already strained. Now that we've ended things, let's not drag it out. If you have something to say, say it now. Otherwise, I'm leaving." William remained silent. Tiffany turned and walked away.

A sharp honk from behind made her frown.

She quickened her pace, but William's car soon caught up and blocked her path.

He stepped out, his eyes fixed on her defiant face. "Get in the car!"

It was early morning, and the dormitory area was bustling with activity. This wasn't a good place for a confrontation.

Tiffany suppressed her anger and asked, "What do you want?"

"I have questions for you."

"Can't you ask them here?"

William hesitated, then relented.

"Did he spend the night here last night?" he asked, his gaze locked on hers.

Tiffany knew he was referring to Vincent.

"No." Not wanting to cause any trouble, she vehemently denied it.

"No? I waited downstairs all night and didn't see him leave until just now!" William's voice dripped with anger and accusation.

His own betrayal and the pain he had caused Tiffany were seemingly forgotten Jealousy consumed William at the thought of Tiffany spending the night with Vincent. He had confronted her, but her attitude had only worsened his mood.

William's eyes ablaze with rage as he seized Tiffany's wrist. "Brianna told me your boss favors you, and I didn't believe it. But now it all seems so true. Is there something going on between you and Vincent?

His last question wasn't a question at all, but an accusation of the affair he was certain she was having.

Anger flared in Tiffany. She tried to

wrench her hand free, but William's grip only tightened. With a defiant

lift

of her chin, she met his gaze. "William, you have no right to

question me, and I refuse to answer. Let go, or I'll scream."

William shook his head, the disappointment evident in his voice as he said, "Tiffany, you've really changed."

Stung, Tiffany retorted, "You changed first!"

She pulled away from him and started running, but William didn't follow.

The cold morning air felt like knives in her throat as she gasped for breath. There wasn't much left to say between them, but his words still hurt.

Over a year together meant something, especially for Tiffany, who took time to open up and even longer to let go. The pain William had caused would haunt her forever, making her wary of love. "Jerk!" she muttered, tears welling up in her eyes.

Suddenly, a pair of dirty men's sneakers appeared in front of her.

"Who are you cursing so early in the morning?" a roguish voice asked.

Tiffany looked up and saw Jenson standing before her. He was dressed in a t-shirt and shorts, his skin glistening with sweat. A basketball was tucked under his arm.
