Trapped with a Lawyer

Chapter 95 A Separation and Re-joining

Eason noticed that there was something wrong with Ella, "Ella, what's up with you and Samuel?" Ella turned paler at his inquisitive query.

"Please transfer some money to my account. My phone got broken. I need a new one. I'll tell you everything later." She was calling him from a phone booth. There was no privacy.

Eason restrained his anger, "Okay, I'll transfer some money. But call me back in an hour."

Ella sighed when she hung up the phone. Then she went to the shopping mall.

It took her half an hour to reach there. She took out her only bank card and started to look for an ATM machine.

Tears welled from her eyes when she saw that Eason transferred a million to her account.

She drew some money, put it in her handbag and went to buy a phone.

At the 58th minute, she finally managed to call Eason with her new phone.

"Eason, it's me." She walked slowly along the road.

"Tell me what happened, now." Eason was booking flight tickets online. He must come back to see what happened.

Ella raised her head, and winked back the tears in her eyes. "Nothing serious. I just had a fight with him." Afraid that Eason would not believe her, she added quickly, "I have Samuel's credit card with me. It has no limit. But I am angry. I do not want to use his money."

She didn't tell him that they were getting divorced. Her elder brother was abroad. She didn't want to worry him too much.

"Why did you fight?" It was pretty normal for a couple to quarrel with each other occasionally. But its seriousness depended on why they quarreled with each other and what consequences it had. Eason instinctively felt that his sister was hiding something from him.

Why did they quarrel? The question reminded Ella of Emma and Catherine Gu, and of her mother-in-law. She answered, "We quarreled for silly issues. The two of us don't have the same character. We would quarrel over some disagreements."

Eason didn't believe a word she said.

"I see. Contact me if there's anything else I can help." He hung up the phone and dialed Samuel's number.

But all he heard was the busy signal.

Eason was irritated. He had no choice, but to call Anna.

Anna was a little shocked to see Eason's call. How come Eason Bo would call her?

"Hello." Anna held her cell phone to her ear and her heart beat faster.

Eason was fretting about the two of them. Without any nonsense, he asked directly, "Where is Samuel?"

"I don't know."

"You are his assistant! How could you don't know!" Eason's voice sounded full of anger.

Anna took a deep breath and answered calmly, "I am his assistant. But am I supposed to be with him 24/7? Does he also report his 24-hour schedule to me?" She then hung up the phone. Eason called her again several times, but she didn't answer.

Ella decided to stay in a hotel for now and rent a flat near Sum's company later.

She checked into a hotel. For the next few days, she contacted only Melody and video chatted with her son.

She finally found a flat of her liking. It had two bedrooms and a living room, and was located in a block near the company.

After settling herself in, Ella contacted Sum.

She joined Sum's company. In the first two days, she went to work by bus.

Sum accidentally saw her catching a bus. He immediately assigned her a company car

Ella refused at first. Sum told her that it was for official purpose. He said she would have to pick him up also to work. So Ella agreed. But later, Sum never asked her to pick him up to work.

On her eighth day in the company, Ella returned home after work. She parked the car downstairs and took the elevator up to the ninth floor.

The elevator halted at the ninth floor with a "ding" sound. Ella came out. She was wearing a thin down jacket.

She took the key out of her handbag and prepared to open the door. Then she saw a man standing in front of her.

They hadn't seen each other for a few days. He looked just as usual, except a bit fatigued.

There were a dozen cigarette butts on the floor. He had been there for a while. Ella put the keys back in the handbag.

She turned back and started to walk towards the elevator. But Samuel caught her wrist and stopped her.

"Open the door." He ordered.

There were monitors outside. Ella didn't want to talk to him there. She got off from his grip and opened the apartment door.

It was a small apartment, only a few dozens of square meters.

But the decoration inside was warm and sweet, just like the other apartment she lived in before.

She closed the door. Samuel was relieved to sense Ella's own smell floating around the apartment.

He held her in his arms, and Ella didn't struggle.

"Dear, we were separated for such a long time. Are you still angry with me?" Samuel had gone abroad on a business trip for a week. When he came back, he lurked around the Moon Company for a couple of days and finally found out her place.

He was happy to see that she didn't hang out with Sum after work.

"Hold the horse, Mr. Shao. I'm not your wife anymore. Beware of how you behave." Ella pushed him away. She still could get easily intoxicated by his smell.

She put the key on a desk, then took off her jacket and hung it on the empty clothes rack.

Samuel held her from behind and nuzzled her. "I didn't sign it. It doesn't count." So Ella was still his wife.

Ella paused, "It doesn't matter to me whether you signed it or not." It meant divorce since she had signed on the document.

"If I didn't sign, the divorce agreement is not legit." He pulled her over to face him.

Ella looked away and averted his eyes.

"We share the same bed but love others. Why is Mr. Shao so tenacious?" There was a touch of irony in her tone.

He ignored that and kissed her on her lips. "Come back home with me."

But Ella angrily wiped her lips with the back of her hand, as if something dirty just touched her. Samuel's eyes darkened when he saw that.

When she put her hand down, Samuel held her tight, and started kissing her ferociously.

Ella's hands hit him hard on the chest, but Samuel did not care, forcing her to the bedroom door behind her.

He stretched out his hand, pushed open the bedroom door, and they entered her secret world.

The bed, less than two meters wide, was covered with a pink-white four-piece suit, lying against the wall.

Two of Jerry's photographs were on her nightstand.

She fell down to the bed. And a romantic atmosphere spread.

Samuel's hand was caressing her lower belly. Ella trembled and suddenly realized what was going on. She pushed Samuel away with all her strength, And glared at him breathlessly, "What now? Is it because Miss Gu can't satisfy you due to the car accident that you've come to me instead?" What did he think she is?

Samuel didn't answer. He took off his suit jacket, threw it on the couch next to him and untied his tie. ☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
