Chapter 4.
4.
Gwen felt a painful stinging in her neck, she remembered something sharp entering her neck when she reached her climax, but now it started to ache a bit more. When her fingers found the spot, she noticed it felt sticky and pulled her hand back, so she was able to see what was on it.
“Blood! What the hell!”
Gwen was stunned, why would he bite her?
“Why did you bite me?”
Kadi heard her smothered voice coming from underneath him.
“What was she talking about?”
Pressing his torso up, to see what she was talking about, he saw the huge bite mark in the crook of her neck, his heart skipped a beat.
“FUCK, FUCK FUCK!!!” He fell back into the mattress.
“He marked her, Good Goddess, he marked her!!”
How the hell did he managed to do this, Kadi couldn’t remember biting her, but the taste of blood in his mouth told him otherwise, ohhh, he definitely sank his teeth in her neck. This would mean a fucking load of trouble.
They weren’t meant to mark any woman until they arrived on Bryar’morr, and even then a man wasn’t sure if he could call a woman his chosen mate. Only Alpha’s or in his case Dargan, one of the Lycan Alpha’s of Rova, aka dad..., was the one who assigned the women to a man, and you had to prove yourself to be worthy to have a mate, besides..., the woman had to agree as well.
Kadi didn’t think it made any difference to his fathers, whether he was their son or not, nor the fact the woman was his soul mate. The men probably wouldn’t even believe she was his soul mate at all, there was no way he could prove it, was there?
Although his fathers handed a group of voluntary men over to him, to start a new pack, just like his two brothers, it didn’t mean he and his fathers saw eye to eye.
Had it not been for the pandemic, he and his brothers would have to fight for the right to rule his fathers pack, if they finally would step down. Kadi knew, he would have easily beat his brothers physically, although Rann, was a sly bastard and probably would have some nasty tricks up his sleeve.
Ivac on the other hand was strong, almost just as strong as Kadi, he just didn’t have the killer instinct, Kadi had. Therefore, he, Kadi, would probably been the one who would have taken over from their fathers, deep down, he knew that they would rather have seen Ivac as their successor.
Now, with most of the population of Rova dead, the old men split the pack in four, to ensure stability and safety for the whole region, their pack remaining the biggest and strongest of course, so there was no need for their son’s to fight to fight.
He couldn’t even blame his old men to prefer Ivac, Kadi knew full well that he was a hothead, with a short fuse, with little to no respect for the female population. Kadi had always seen women as weak, vulnerable, but most of all contrived, they were good for two things; sex and to care for offspring.
And now, he’d probably lost even more of his fathers respect, ...fuck...
There could possibly be an even bigger problem. He, Rann and Ivac were identical triplets, which could mean that this woman was the soul mate of all three of them. He would rip them to pieces, if they were even to look at her, or would make a move... She was his mate!
Kadi felt his teeth lengthen, just by the mere thought of it.
“Stay there...” He threw his legs out of bed and got up. First he would take care of her wound, then he would go looking for Bors. Maybe he could come up with an idea how this could be solved. At the thought of losing his mate, his stomach turned.
Gwen heard the man growl, as soon as he saw the wound on her neck. She still had no idea what had happened, but she felt him falling back on the bed, his body slightly, giving her a bit more space. He stayed like that for a couple of minutes and then got up.
“Why did you bite me?” Asking him again, a bit more urgent this time. Still he didn’t answer her, and she started to feel angry. ”What kind of sick bastard was he, biting her?”
She saw him coming back to the bed, probably found what he was looking for.
Without looking her in the eyes, he sat down on the bed. But when he reached for her shoulder, she moved as far away from him as possible, forcing him to look at her.
“WHY... DID... YOU... BITE... ME?!” Her voice was now laced with both fear and anger.
With inhuman speed, he grabbed her face with his large hand, and pulled her face towards him, for her to end up on her hands and knees. But instead of shying away from his aggressive approach, waiting meekly, Gwen quickly pushed her legs forward in a way she sat down on her butt, and grabbed his wrist with both hands, nails pressed deep into his skin.
Kadi’s eyes widened a little, she took him of guard with her swift movement, and although her behaviour irritated him, he admired her courage.
“Well?” Gwen wasn’t about to stop
“This was unbelievable, she really didn’t know when to quit!”
“I... MARKED... YOU...”
“There..., I told her...”
Her nails retreated from his skin, but she didn’t let go of his wrist.
“...Huh...? What do you mean, “Marked”?” Gwen had no idea what he was talking about.
But before she could ask any further, he suddenly let go of her face, pushing the bandages in her hands.
He put on his pants, boots and shirt, and ordered the computer to make the room soundproof, so if she were to yell or scream, nobody could hear her. He then turned back towards her and told her to get some sleep, he then left the room and ordered the computer to let nobody in or out without his command.
