Chapter 19 Getting Physical

A young man named Chris, who was with the group, glanced at Andy and half–jokingly said, “Gale, this kid looks a bit like you. What’s the deal? Is he your son?”

Chris’s words caused a few seconds of silence among the group.

Sally instinctively looked at Anders.

As expected, Anders’s face grew darker.

Sally knew that Anders was probably cursing her in his mind right now.

“Gale began to speak, but Sally interrupted him, quickly saying. “Andy and Gale do look quite alike.”

Sally didn’t directly say Andy was Gale’s son, but her ambiguous statement was enough to make Anders seethe with rage.

Mary felt disdain for Sally’s words.

Mary knew exactly who Andy’s biological father was.

But there was no way she could let Anders know.

Mary first looked at Andy with a gentle expression, then said to Sally, “Sally, since Andy and Gale look so much alike, are you hiding something from us? Everyone’s here today, why don’t you just tell us the truth?”

Gale glanced at Mary.

Anders had always been bothered by Andy’s existence, never wanting to accept that Andy was his biological son. Now, his son was about to become someone else’s child.

Anders had been quietly observing Sally’s reaction.

Seeing her not refute Gale’s words, he almost wanted to strangle this hateful woman!

“Is this child really yours?” Anders asked, looking at Gale.

Gale had long sensed the strange tension between Sally and Anders.

He didn’t know the hidden history between them, but he could tell that Sally didn’t seem to like Anders.

Thinking of this, Gale cheerfully waved Andy’s little hand and said, “Of course, Andy is my son. What, are you all jealous that I have such a good son? Hahaha…”

Gale’s unabashed laughter naturally stung Anders’s heart.

His heavy gaze fell on Sally.

But Gale, seemingly unbothered by the situation, continued laughing. “Oh, it’s normal for you all to be jealous. After all, Andy inherited my excellent genes. Even if you have sons, they might not be as cute as my Andy, hahaha.

It was obvious to everyone that Gale was showing off, and his friends couldn’t help but tease, “Gale, you’ve been hiding this from us all these years! We’ve been friends for so long, and you didn’t tell us you had a child..”

“Better late than never!” Gale grinned at Andy in his arms.

Someone shifted their gaze to Sally, “And her? Is she your wife?”

Sally’s beauty made her hard to ignore.

Sally didn’t know how to answer, but Gale put Andy down and boldly put his arm around Sally’s shoulders.

Anders gritted his teeth, glaring at them. Despite his hatred for Sally, seeing her in another man’s arms, still caused his heart to ache.

Suddenly, Anders laughed.

“She’s just a prostitute nobody wants. What? Is she really worth your attention?” Anders directed his comment at Gale.

Everyone was stunned.

Sally’s face turned deathly pale.

Anders was pleased with her reaction.

Did she think she’d be safe with Gale?

He wanted to humiliate this shameless woman! She had been ambiguous with Victor before and now was involved with Gale. How could Anders not be furious?

Sally opened her mouth but couldn’t say anything.

She thought she was strong enough, but Anders’s words still shattered her psychological defenses.

Anders was just… too much!

He knew how to wound her pride.

Holding back her tears, Sally picked up Andy, ready to leave this place.

But Gale stopped her.

Sally looked at Gale in surprise.

Gale suddenly stood up and slammed his fist on the table!

Everyone stared at him in shock.

“Anders, apologize to Sally!” Gale demanded with a cold face.

Anders raised an eyebrow, “Apologize? Ha…”

His friends quickly caught him, shocked.

Anders, furious, was about to retaliate, but his friends hurriedly held him back.

“Alright, alright…” Chris tried to calm the situation, “We’re all friends here, no need to make a big deal out of this.”

“This isn’t a small matter!” Gale said seriously, “Anders, we’ve been friends for a long time, but you have no right to insult my lover.”

Anders tried to argue, but Chris and the others quickly pushed them back into their seats, smiling awkwardly, “Alright, alright, it’s all a misunderstanding. Let’s not ruin the evening.”

Chris turned to Hogg, “Didn’t you say you wanted to play games tonight? Now that we’re all here, let’s play together.”

Hogg quickly took out a deck of cards from his bag. “Yes, yes, let’s all play together. We’re all friends

here.

After much persuasion, Gale and Anders’s anger was finally calmed down.

Mary, sitting beside Anders, felt a wave of fear.

That idiot Gale was meddling! Was he even that close to Sally? They had just met a few days ago, and he already dared to defend her so openly?

Mary’s face changed quickly.

There was no way she would leave alone.

“Ha. Gale, even you lose sometimes!” Chris laughed, “You used to be unbeatable, but we finally won!”

Gale angrily tossed his cards on the table, “Fine! I lost. What’s my punishment?”
