The Treasure Hunter and The Mirror

Chapter 12

“Walter Zuniga?” Walter felt someone nudge on him. Walter reached up to his head and felt the familiar pounding that he had felt before. “Are you one Walter Xavier Yanez Zuniga?” the voice asked again.

Walter managed to make himself nod as his vision began to come back. He felt like he was back, back to a Walter, but the question was of course, was he back to the original Walter he was? A girl seemed to be talking to him, Walter didn’t recognize the woman’s voice.

“Good, I’ve been looking for you,” the girl’s voice said.

Walter felt something on him it felt like a blanket of some sort.

“That was quite the feat you just did, Walter,” the girl said.

“What do you mean?” Walter said.

“You managed to come in through the Zerkalo Aaenna, without any form of preparations or any form of training or anything and come out of it unscathed.” The girl said.

“Unscathed, it took me forever to get back here,” Walter said as he carefully sat up. He saw that there was a cloth covering his naked body. Walter wondered why he was naked then remembered he had taken the extra precaution of doing that before entering the mirror as Willow.

Walter looked around to see who was talking to him. He saw a girl staring at him shyly as if it was too much for her to stare at a naked man. She was quite the beautiful girl. She had great golden eyes and blonde hair, she was thin, but she was extremely beautiful. Walter quickly shifted his leg to hide what was occurring under the sheets.

“I found him.” The girl said to what looked like a communication device.

“Good, bring him here,” a voice of an older man responded.

“Follow me,” the girl said. “And I would hold onto this blanket closely if I were you.” Walter nodded, and he got up.

Walter looked around. Had he made it back to his dimension? Walter looked at the murals. The man exiting the mirror in the mural above the mirror was the same way that he remembered it being, the same skin tone as the first time he had entered. This place looked the same, then again it never did seem to change. Walter looked over at the monkey-man he of course never changed every. On his mace was the number 616.

Walter held onto his blanket and got up and followed the girl down the stairs. She clearly knew her way around and she walked down followed the catacombs with ease.

“Did you see a woman here somewhere?” Walter asked suddenly remembering about Tonya, if he had indeed come back to his dimension she would have been around somewhere.

“No, I didn’t do you travel through the mirror with her?” the girl asked.

“No but she was here when I had first entered it,” Walter said.

“It could be she is lost in the dimensions,” the girl said sadly. “Usually one never even uses the Zerkalo Aaenna without formerly being trained in its use. You are the first that I am aware of, that has been able to come safely through it.”

“Wish I knew that before,” Walter said snorting. “Where are we going anyways?”

“To meet Lord Leonard, he’s been expecting you,” the girl said.

“Wait he’s been expecting me?” Walter said.

“Yes, well that flash you let off when you used the mirror, that got a bunch of people riled up.” The girl said. “Lord Leonard sent me straight away looking for you.”

“And how does this Lord Leonard know my name?” Walter said.

“He said something about making arrangements with you,” the girl said.

“Arrangements?” Walter thought about that before. “Wait is he the one who sent me looking for this thing?”

“He told me not to answer that,” the girl said. “He said once we get to him, he will explain everything.” Walter nodded he understood.
