Chapter My Nephew Leonard 437
Chapter 437
Noelle had actually planned to make another cup today, and she'd even mixed the colors for it. But thanks to Seline's sudden interruption, she never got around to finishing it.
It didn't matter, though. As long as she had something to give Hendrix for his birthday, it was enough. Seline, clearly stir-crazy after being cooped up for days, dragged Noelle out for dinner. Afterward, she suggested going to a bar. In the end, remembering that Noelle was pregnant, they settled for a quick visit to the arcade at the mall instead.
Noelle still remembered the last time she had been at the arcade was with Clark, who she hadn't seen in a long time. It was as if he had come and gone like the wind, leaving not a single trace behind in her life. Only now did she realize just how big the city was. Big enough that, if someone didn't want to see her, they could avoid her forever.
That night, Hendrix once again returned in the middle of the night.
Noelle was still awake, and as soon as she heard the sound of his car engine, she sat up in bed. Usually, Hendrix would come straight to her room at this hour. Whether she was awake or not, he'd always wake
her to chat for a bit and then insist that she move back into his room. She had never agreed to it.
But now, almost without realizing it, she'd developed the habit of waiting for him to come home. Yet tonight, even though she waited for him to come in, he never did.
After some hesitation, she got out of bed and walked to his room.
Hendrix was already taking a shower in the bathroom.
The sound of running water made Noelle pause in her tracks. Then, her gaze fell on the suit jacket he had tossed aside.
Under the light, a long strand of light brown hair stood out clearly against the fabric.
Noelle had never dyed her hair. And all of Hendrix's assistants and secretaries were now men. So, this hair...
Noelle suddenly recalled the conversation she had with Seline earlier on the day. More importantly, she remembered she did know a woman with light brown hair Olivia.
Noelle didn't know if sixth sense was a real thing. After all, she met with countless people every day, and plenty of women tried to get close to Hendrix. Yet for some reason, Olivia stood out in her memory.
So did that mean her sixth sense was being confirmed right now?
As Noelle stared at the strand of hair in a daze, the bathroom door suddenly opened.
Hendrix stepped out, already dressed in a robe. Beads of water still clung to his damp hair, dripping steadily from the ends.
He was startled when he saw her. "You're still up?"
His voice was husky, probably from just finishing his shower.
Noelle looked at him and softly hummed in response.
"Were you waiting for me? Didn't I tell you not to wait up for me since I'd be back late tonight?" Hendrix asked,

his tone half-scolding, though his lips curled into a smile.
As he spoke, he walked toward her and gently ruffled her hair. "I was worried I'd wake you up if I went to your room."
As if! Hadn't he always done just that before?
Choosing to shower before coming to her-wasn't it because he wanted to wash away traces of a certain someone? Noelle looked at him, the questions swirling in her mind. But in the end, she didn't voice them out.
Instead, she softly asked, "Are you busy the day after tomorrow, too?"
"The day after tomorrow? Probably. Why?"
