The Sun God Diaries

Chapter Chapter Twenty-Four: The Queen Mother’s Words and Meet Olodom

Third-Person POV

“He’s a fighter, that Malachi,” boomed Iapetus as he and the supernatural gods and goddesses watched from the orb that stood in the indoor courtyard of their heavenly palace. “I knew that there was something special about him when he entered into the world,”

“Indeed,” commented Vinitria, she and her sister Vinzera nodding in assent. “The thought of that Biggins harlot and her friends kissing him and then attacking him after he and Enya’s sons does not sit with me very well. Thank goodness that Malachi knew that they needed to be disposed of at once.”

“Yes,” Trinity (the Moon Goddess) nodded, Her all-white gown and opulent jewels shining as bright as the moon that reflected the moon that was the symbol of her reign. “Malachi is one of a kind, the one great-grandchild that is destined to take up the role as the Sun God Wolf King.”

“Sister,” Aurora piped up as her servants readied her chariot so she could prepare her role as the dawn, “what of his thirteenth and final mate?”

Trinity grinned, motioning for a silent-yet powerful Sorunos (the wrathful god of anger, fire, and power) to step forward. “Is he ready, brother?”

“Indeed,” Sorunos replied, pride laced in his booming voice that rumbled like thunder. “I told him all about Your great-grandson and the boy’s legacy that he will fulfill. The moment he saw Malachi shift into Amon-Re was when he felt the bond with Malachi and the other mates. He has waited for eons to manifest himself and finally claim a mate to love. Other nymphs and heiresses have vied for his attention, but he swore to himself to wait until he met his beloved. And the time has come, Trinity.”

There was a knock at the door, a sense of raw power emanating from outside that was familiar to Sorunos’. “Send him in,” Trinity instructed the footmen.

They nodded, swinging the golden doors open with a giant flourish to reveal a young and powerfully-built red-headed male dressed as a Roman centurion. He had a tanned complexion, a face that was familiar as the wrathful god, and eyes that were the color of burning red coals. “Father,” he greeted, coming to Sorunos with a hug. “I got the message as soon as I finished my turn with punishing the DuMartel harlot alongside tossing in Biggins.”

“Then you know why I have called you, Olodom,” Trinity said formally. “It’s about my great-grandson Malachi- the soon-to-be Sun God Wolf King.”

The young man named Olodom nodded eagerly, his eyes brightening at the mention of the young man. “I felt the click of the mating bonds when I saw him and his other mates talking about their bonds as well as watching him shift into the powerful Sun God Wolf,” he commented. “I know that Enya’s sons are planning to court him with separate dates, but I want to meet with him as soon as possible.”

“And you will,” commented Trinity, Her eyes full of joy. “And you know that it’s your responsibility to treat him like he is your mate and make him feel loved like his fathers treat My child Carson like royalty.”

Olodom nodded, bowing low and kneeling in prostrate. “You have my word, my Liege,” he boomed. “I will accept the mating bond and make Malachi Jean-Luc DuBauer the happiest husband and his other mates and I vow to make him feel loved and cherished even after the end of time.”

“So be it,” She said.

“So be it,” the other gods said formally, a clap of thunder echoing to seal the covenant made by the demigod.

“When do I leave for Earth?” Olodom asked as he stood up straight.

“As soon as possible, more than likely on the days before the Autumn Formal ball at the Palace of the Wolves,” She replied. “And you will be the one to propose to him when the time is right.”

“I shall prepare myself to meet the other twelve Alphas,” Olodom said before he took his leave. “Malachi will be the most treasured King and Prince that he is destined to become.”

Trinity (the Moon Goddess) POV

Malachi Jean-Luc DuBauer.

The eleventh child and the lone omega of his older Alpha brothers and younger Beta triplet brothers. He looks more and more like My son Carson every day that he ages.

I knew that he was more mature-like than anyone could ever expect- so respectable and no-nonsense, having the mother-hen attitude to keep his brothers and friends in line and grounding everyone whenever there is trouble in sight. Of course, he has some childish behavior, hence his love of snacks and goodies that he only shares with the maids and servants of the palace, his godbrother Vincenzo Paulo and his family, Carson, and even Myself and the other gods and goddesses (Seraphina does love herself some gummy worms and I’m always craving for a bag of chips).

But when he learned of his destiny as both the Moon Wolf Prince as well as being the Sun God Wolf King (a role originally destined for Anis but was given to his son), he felt a bit insecure but immediately knew that he would have to shed any insecurities away to fully accept his role. And as for the Magnificent Eight, he had a bit of unease as well as needing time to comprehend his emotions. But he also knew what happened to his dad and how Carson was rejected by Regan Zallenda before meeting the Elite Eight and Anis and all that had happened. He wanted the same love that his parents had and knew what he had to do. He accepted the bonds and soon fell in love with all of them.

And now that he has met Enya’s sons and will soon meet Olodom, he knows that he will do the same as well.

But his journey will not be without hardship, hence him being harassed by the DuMartel girl and forcefully kissed and attacked by Sarah Biggins and her friends before being stabbed. And there will be more to come regarding Alyssa Cunningham and the Howell Alpha twins of Wyoming- one of them, anyway, since Dawson now knows the truth and is secretly planning to defect. And it won’t be much longer until Alyssa will see the light. But as for Ryker? Well, he has already made his choice and is too far in his pride.

And I already know of what he plans to do, though it will all be for naught.

“Sister?”

I snapped out of my thoughts to see Seraphina and Iapetus standing in front of me with the former handing me a pack of Hostess cupcakes and a bottle of green tea. “You visited Malachi?” I asked, accepting the goods.

“Of course,” the god of the seas replied. “We were helping him learn more about the various merfolk and selkie covens from the coasts of Africa and Southeast Asia. He was lost in the element, just like you are. I take it that you are thinking about him?”

I nodded, sipping on the tart yet sweet beverage. “Of course,” I replied. “Malachi is a gifted child but will have a long way to go before ascending to his role as the Sun God Wolf King. Even more so with the imminent meeting he will face with Cunningham and the Howells.”

“Indeed,” Seraphina replied. “But he will remain loyal to Your design, Sister. And as long as he continues to have faith and trust in the bonds of his mates, he will overcome it all.”

“That he will,” I replied.

“Trinity,” Iapetus began, “what about Your final child, the child living in tragedy and the abusive hands of teenagers in Texas?”

I narrowed my eyes at his statement. “Those who have treated him wrong will soon face my wrath,” I said, gritting at the memory. “But I am keeping my fury hidden unless his chosen mates will do the unthinkable as Regan Zallenda had.”

I snapped my fingers and summoned Thebes, the blue djinn and messenger for Hermes. “Any word about my other child?” I asked.

The blue-haired djinn nodded. “He is currently resting after being beaten by the teen warriors, Your Grace,” he replied, frowning. “He was badly beaten to the point he was almost at Death’s door. The current Alpha and Luna have punished all the teens involved, but-”

“But what, Thebes?” I asked.

He looked uneasy as if afraid to tell me. “My Liege, I fear that one of these days that the young rats there will finally do away with Your third and final child,” he replied sadly. “The teens who have shown him kindness- the ones in Ellington Valley- have their worries as well. One fey and one human elemental have told me that he had visions of Your child’s death after being rejected.”

I nodded. “Continue your silent vigil, Thebes,” I said. “The human elemental’s visions will be accurate. But those who have shown kindness- him and his family included- to my child will be spared. The teens who have done harm and the ones who will reject him will be punished.”

“Your will be done, My Queen,” Thebes said. He disappeared into a cloud of blue smoke.

“Sister. Is Your final child the-” Seraphina began.

I nodded. “He will take the final role of the final legend,” I replied. “And when I reunite all of My sons, they will bring in the new era.”

And that...was not only a promise but also my vision of the golden age.
