Chapter Chapter Fourteen: Stalker Sightings and Anticipation
Third-Person POV
“He looks so elegant as his merman Dominique,” Aivox murmured as he and his brothers were gazing into the crystal ball and watched the ongoing second date that Malachi was enjoying with Ian and Vincent, the trio enjoying an evening swim with the sounds of reggae music playing from the stereo. “Our Moon Wolf Prince is definitely a sight to see, brothers.”
“Let’s not forget about our other mates, Aivox,” Veronique commented, his eyes never leaving the masculine and naked frame of the Alpha vampire. “I think our vampire might be into some powerful muscle worship kink. I do want to caress his body and ride him like I was driving an Alfa Romeo.”
“Veronique, easy,” Cyler scolded, though his jade-green eyes were full of lust. “And Ian the merman is a sensual and sexual siren in the making. His voice alone makes me yearn to swim into the seas with him.”
“How we wish we can stop lying in wait and finally introduce ourselves to Malachi and the eight Alphas already,” Galen piped up wistfully, standing up straight as he saw the three teens get out of the water and get dressed (Malachi and Ian turning back into the human forms before doing so). “This waiting is making me anxious and I feel like I want to release all the sexual energy out into the world.”
“Agreed, Galen. But it’s still not our time just yet,” Aivox reminded him as he and the other Gorgon brothers left the crystal ball before taking their seats on their respective beds. “We need to make sure that he courts the other mates properly before we make our appearance. There’s a time and purpose for everything and Einstein once said that the reason for time is so that everything doesn’t happen all at once.”
“True,” Galen agreed. “I just don’t want any drama in Malachi’s life. Remember that DuMartel harlot and the way she stole the boy’s first kiss when he was at Bethune Memorial?”
The other boys growled, their snakes hissing in anger at the memory of the forced kiss from the late Marissa DuMartel (who was now screaming and writhing away in eternal damnation). “Don’t remind us,” Cyler growled.
“At ease, my sons,” commented their mother Enya as she, the Moon Goddess, Iapetus, and Aurora came into their room. “I assure you four that Sorunos and his loyal followers are torturing the disgraced and fallen female Alpha werecat as we speak.”
“Thank goodness for that,” Veronique muttered. “I still wince of our mate being snogged by that-” He cursed inwardly as his snakes muttered in assent.
“I can’t really imagine if there’s anyone else who might take an interest in what’s not theirs,” Aivox mumbled.
“Well, my nephews, you four will not like the news I have for you,” the Moon Goddess commented solemnly. “I have word that during the second date with my grandson, two unseen stalkers were watching from the shadows and murmuring at his nude frame.”
“What?!” The boys exclaimed angrily.
“It’s true,” said Aurora, her rose-gold aura fading into a deep red that was closer to the god of wrath’s angry aura. “A few of Iapetus’ water nymphs and my silent pixies were able to spot the two stalkers from a nearby cluster of oak trees. They didn’t leave until the date was finished and they were making plans to kidnap them.”
“This will not do,” Cyler commented calmly yet anger was flowing through his and his brothers’ bloodstreams. “Malachi is not some toy that any Alpha can claim without his consent. I assume that other guards are looking over the stalkers as we speak, Aunt Trinity?”
“They are,” the Moon Goddess replied, nodding at Her nephew. “The Shadow Wolves of the Wind Diamonds pack near the palace are reporting every word as is a cluster of fairies that are with a band of gypsies visiting in town.”
“But the main thing is for you boys to prepare yourselves for your inevitable debut,” Iapetus (the large and jovial god of the seas and patron of the merpeople and selkies) commented. “With the stalkers now in play, there will more than likely be more danger against Malachi and you boys will need to make sure that he is loved and protected.”
“Then we shall prepare for the moment,” Veronique replied firmly. “When will we-”
The Moon Goddess cut him off with a raise of her hand. “You will know when you least expect it,” she said in a formal matter. “There is something else that you four must know as we have told the thirteenth and final mate earlier. “The Magnificent Eight Alphas from DC have a female stalker who will be out for revenge when they refused to make her their wife. She has sworn revenge and she will more than likely-”
“Join the other stalkers,” Aivox finished, eyes glowing in fury as his snakes hissed more ferociously. “Fuck!”
“Easy, brother,” Galen commented. “Surely she wouldn’t date to try to interfere with the bond.”
“She would, but it would eventually fail,” Enya commented. “She might even ally with the brothers, but she and one of them will-”
“Enough, Enya,” The Moon Goddess commented. “Everything that will happen will be of my design, but we must have your sons remain calm and watchful of My great-grandson as Malachi will indeed face a few challenges himself. Remember to trust in My plan as well as trust in each other and yourselves.”
The four Gorgon brothers knelt in allegiance and humble respect from the main goddess- the creator of the supernatural world. “We vow to honor Your word, our Liege,” they said formally. “May Your guidance and love give us strength to protect and love our mate.”
“Good,” the Moon Goddess replied. “Now, rest and prepare yourselves. Your time will soon come to reveal yourselves to Malachi. But for now, lie in wait and bide your time. Stay true to yourselves and believe that fate can never be broken or even misconstrued by the hands of man. My designs will be fulfilled and soon the Sun God Wolf will be known to all- whether they believe or not.”
She rose and faded away with Aurora and Iapetus following behind her as the former granted the four male Gorgon princes kisses of sleep and serenity, the boys themselves immediately taking their respose and beginning to fall into the waves of blissful sleep given by Morpheum and Perephedes (the supernatural gods of sleep and dreams, respectively).
Enya smiled at her sleeping sons, her eyes turning to the crystal ball. She walked over and saw that her nephew was also sleeping soundly with the love from four of the eight Alphas destined to be his mate filling his heart. “Sleep well, my child,” she murmured. “And trust in the plan that my Sister has for you. You will indeed have many trials, but you will overcome them once you learn to love yourself and your mates as well as harness the power that is given to you from birth and fully trust my Sister, family and mates, friends, and even yourself. May the heavens continue to watch over you as you sleep. And may She have mercy on the souls of the ones who wish you harm.”
She blew a kiss at the large crystal ball as the image of Malachi sleeping away faded before she too faded away.
