So many benefits? Sasha hesitated for a moment as she thought of Felix's indifference toward her.
Ted continued, "Heh! I know you're worried about Lord Kane. I knew about Felix's connection to Lord Kane a long time ago, but so what? I'm still going to teach him a lesson! Why? Because the backing of the Glover family is something even Lord Kane can't compare to." Sasha's doubts dissipated with his assuring words. The frustration of unrequited love would turn into hatred easily. Moreover, she never had much affection for Felix to begin
with. 2
Her recent change of heart was purely due to Kane's influence. Now, even that concern was taken care of. Why wouldn't she take advantage of another prospect with a better opportunity?
"Mr. Glover, I'll do whatever you say, but I have one condition. You can't let anything like that night happen again. I'm not a promiscuous woman with loose morals," Sasha said.
Ted sneered inwardly. The people he hired this time wouldn't spare a glance at a vulgar woman like her. He only needed Sasha to lure Felix out.
"You're a wise woman who recognizes an opportunity. I'll inform you once everything is in place"
Meanwhile, Felix was driving his Range Rover out of the city. He was headed toward a cemetery in Avesburgh.
Today was the death anniversary of his grandfather. The only people he still felt compelled to pay respects to were his grandfather and parents. As for his grandmother, she had passed away before he was born. Felix had no emotional connection to her. There weren't many cars headed to the cemetery since it wasn't a holiday or a special
occasion.
As Felix drove, he suddenly slammed on the brakes. A young man stood in the middle of the road. He seemed completely unafraid to stop the car with his body.
As soon as Felix's car came to a halt, the man rushed to the driver's side window. "I'm sorry, I really had no other choice..."
The man stopped mid-sentence when he saw Felix smiling at him. He widened his eyes in shock. "What the hell? Felix?"
Felix was also genuinely surprised to see that the person who stopped his car was actually

his childhood friend, Jack Graham. Otherwise, he would have yelled at him already Jack, I can't believe it took you this long to recognize me."
Jack regained his senses after a minute and punched Felix excitedly in the arm "When did you get back to Avesburgh? I heard from our old classmates that you disappeared for TREE years, and no one could reach you. I even tried calling, but you never picked up. That's not cool!"
As if he suddenly remembered something, Jackadded, "Let's talk on the way. My car broke down. Damn it! No one would even stop to help, so I had to risk my safety by flagging down a car like that."
"Alright."
Felix knew that Jack's grandfather and his had passed away on the same day. They always paid their respects together. The Graham family had a rule that their memorial services couldn't go past noon. That was why Jack was in such a hurry. "Weren't you staying abroad?" Felix asked.
Jack had gone abroad after graduating college, so it was rare to even meet up once a year since then.
"Don't bring that up. It's a long story filled with heartache. The important thing is, I'm back in Avesburgh for good," Jack replied.
Neither of them asked each other about their current jobs or other personal details. Good friends didn't need to dig that deep.
At the cemetery, they parked the car and went in separate directions. They would meet up and return together after paying their respects.
Felix had only walked for a while before stopping in his tracks. There was a woman standing in front of his grandfather's grave. He could tell she wasn't a member of the Zeller family, as he didn't recognize her at all.
At that moment, the woman turned around and took off her sunglasses. She stared directly at Felix and said, "Felix, am I right? Let me introduce myself. I'm Yvonne Cooper."
