Chapter Billionaire With Husband 872
Chapter 872
Felix bowed deeply to Kendrick and said solemnly, "Sir, forgive me."
During the drive back, Luna noticed Felix's somber mood, so she refrained from saying anything to him.
Once they entered the city, Felix broke the silence and asked, "Do you have any connections for unofficial border crossings?"
"Yes, we have someone from Astoria who handles that. It's completely reliable," Luna replied.
Felix nodded thoughtfully. "Let's keep it as a backup plan. We might need it someday."
After encountering the Westerio Order, Felix suspected they might interfere with his mission. Given their absolute control abroad, legal routes home might become impossible. Hence, having alternative plans seemed wise.
Felix spent the entire day indoors while Luna returned home at his request. With the looming threat of the Westerio Order, he felt it safer for her to leave Guneria.
As night fell, Felix stood near an abandoned single-story house in the desert wasteland of Guneria. The nearest road was over an hour's drive away, and even basic necessities like food and water would be hard to come by in such an isolated location. This was John's chosen meeting spot. Felix was not worried about John escaping after their fight. After all, someone as cautious as John would not have initiated the confrontation unless he was absolutely confident in his chances.
Plus, after Felix had killed Aimee, John would surely want to witness Felix's death personally. Sure enough, John was perched on a nearby hill about six miles away, watching Felix through a high-end telescope mounted on a sturdy tripod. John muttered to himself, his voice filled with cold determination. "Tonight, I'll kill you and avenge my beloved Aimee."
He snapped his fingers, and an aide immediately made a phone call, signaling the beginning of the spectacle. Minutes later, beams of light pierced through the darkness as a convoy of vehicles approached.
Felix squinted, estimating that at least a dozen trucks were heading his way. As they got closer, he whistled under his breath and mumbled, "Well, no surprise-this really is a gun- crazy country."
The convoy consisted of civilian armored vehicles mounted with heavy machine guns. Dozens of men emerged carrying AK rifles, while others wielded RPG launchers-an intimidating
arsenal.
Felix also sensed hidden threats in the distance, likely snipers, which seemed inevitable given the scale of this armed force. Chapter 872
"Fire!" The command rang out, and the night erupted with gunfire and explosions, turning the barren landscape into a warzone.

If Felix had been an ordinary man, nothing would have been left of him-not even scraps to bury. After several minutes of relentless bombardment, the shooting finally stopped.
Smoke and dust engulfed the area where Felix had been standing, and the attackers began to laugh. They were confident that nothing could have survived such an assault. "That felt pretty good," a casual voice cut through their celebration. The men froze in horror as the smoke cleared to reveal Felix standing exactly where he had been, completely unharmed. Someone stammered, "Holy shit! T-This can't be real!"
Panic spread like wildfire as they realized it was Felix. One by one, the men dropped their weapons and scrambled back to their vehicles, desperate to escape.
What chance did they stand if this monster could not be killed by such overwhelming firepower?
Felix did not bother pursuing them since killing them would be a waste of time. Instead, he called out to the darkness, "You can come out now. Did you really think those weapons could wear me down?"
