The Rebellious Omega

Chapter 108

Blair POV

"I might have taken all of your abuse and crap back then, but I'm different now" I hissed between gritted teeth "and I'm not part of your pack anymore Brynn. I'm the mate of an Alpha King and I won't be disrespected by you or anyone for that matter." I dug my nails in, drawing blood. I flung her hand away as she stepped back from me, her eyes filled with fear. Where had that strength come from? Perhaps it was merely adrenaline working its way through me? Whatever it was, it sure felt good. Brynn clutched her hand, the blood trickling down her arm, her eyes welling up with tears, her lower lip quivering in distress. I had never felt so much satisfaction in my life. Sierra stepped away from Ashton who rushed to his chosen mate, embracing her tightly as Brynn began to sob pitifully on his shoulder. "Wow," Sierra said derisively "that is one weak a*s, Luna."

I shrugged. I spotted my mate coming towards us and smiled. He made his way towards us and Brynn stopped him "King Braedon" she said shrilly, waving her arm at him as he paused and looked at her with condemnation in his eyes, his manner going stiff and his eyes going dark as he recognized her and Ashton "look what your mate did to me" she wailed, showing him.

He looked at her arm and then at me "Well done" he praised, causing Brynn's mouth to open before he turned on her "I don't know what you did to anger my Luna Queen but I suggest you don't do it again" he advised with a smirk and then strode towards me, lifting me up off my feet and twirling me around, before putting me down and kissing me, like a man starved, his tongue delving into my mouth, his lips pressing gently against my own, leaving me panting and desperately drawing in oxygen as he pulled away. "Damn that was hot" Sierra whispered to Josie who was nodding and looking flushed, while Buster and Baxter who had joined us, looked studiously around at the crowd. "I need me a man like that" She began to look at Buster and then put her arm into the crook of his, beaming up at him as I looked at her in amusement "Are you seeing anyone at the moment Buster?" she asked sweetly, as we began to make our way towards the parking lot.

Buster cleared his throat, his cheeks going slightly flushed. "Actually, I'm single at the moment" he coughed awkwardly.

I glanced over my shoulder, unable to help myself, my eyes dancing while Braedon listened intently, his hand on my shoulder, guiding me slightly away from the others "Would you like to come and get a coffee with me sometime? We could have it at my place? I'm excellent at making coffee" she purred.

Coffee was definitely a euphemism for something else I thought with a grin. Buster was blushing now but looking at Sierra with interested eyes.

"Well um, that is, I would.." he stammered and I cringed.

Sierra giggled and flipped her hair "No strings attached" she added calmly.

Baxter was looking at Buster enviously. Braedon just smiled and stopped at his car, a bright red Ferrari. I looked at him askance. "I thought we were supposed to keep a low profile?" I grumbled.

"It's my baby," he said in defense.

I raised an eyebrow "Okay my second baby" he said in acknowledgment, as the others swarmed past us "but I never get to take her out."

"What made you come out to the mall in the first place?" I asked confused as he helped me into my seat and buckled me in. I remembered distantly that Buster still had my bags and sighed. Braedon looked slightly guilty. "Um well," he said and I narrowed my eyes. "Spill Braedon," I said icily, fixating my eyes on him.

He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, looking guilty still. He flattened his lips. "It's a bro thing" he mumbled.

I eyed him suspiciously. I had a feeling I knew what had happened without him having to say it.

"Either Buster or Baxter called you for help didn't they," I said confidently.

He stared mutely at the steering wheel and then groaned. "Yes, after the lingerie store incident, but don't get mad," he said hastily "They just weren't sure how to handle you girls and they feared for their lives" he added quickly.

I laughed till I cried. The two big male warriors had called their King for help to deal with three women. It was so amusing that I was almost hysterical with laughter. My mate stared at me looking pale.

"Oh no," he muttered, "I've broken you."

I laughed some more. It took me a long time to calm down and I wiped tears from my eyes. "Sorry, it's just that we're only three women" I pointed out, my shoulders still heaving.

"I know" he grumbled "but apparently you're harder to deal with than ordinary ones."

I giggled. Perhaps the polyamory bit had been going too far?

He reached down into the bag and brought out the bracelet that I had chosen. I blinked. It had a single diamond

strategically placed into the middle, making it look even more beautiful. He began to put the bracelet on me. "Is that what you went to go do?" I asked him surprised.

He winked "I wanted to add something unique to it. My own way of putting my print on it."

I admired it. "I'm never going to take it off," I told him excitedly, looking down at my wrist in awe. I didn't care if it didn't suit my outfits, the bracelet was from my mate, and that mattered more to me than anything else. My chest tightened and I felt my heart begin to swell with love for him.

He kissed me tenderly "Promise me you'll never take it off," he said with a low growl "that no matter what you'll keep it on as a permanent reminder of me and that you're mine."

"I promise I'll never take it off" I vowed to him as I wondered why it meant so much to him "I love it too much Braedon."

He looked relieved for some reason. He started the car and I leaned against the chair, feeling exhausted. "So what made you so angry at Brynn?" he asked casually as we began to drive.

I fought back my laughter and began to tell him everything. "Do you think Sierra will sleep with Buster?" he asked grimly, his eyes on the road.

I burst into laughter "I would bet on it" I said with a grin "That girl looked determined and she gets what she wants. The man doesn't stand a chance" I said giggling madly.

Braedon looked at me, just as another car collided into the back of the Ferrari hard, sending us propelling forward and we glanced at each other, Braedon's foot immediately pushing down onto the gas pedal as my heart began to race. How had we not noticed that we were being followed?
