The Lycan’s King Breeder

Chapter 109

Maximus

POV.

I stood there, adrenaline pumping through my veins as I stared at Melezo and Felicity lying on the bed. Melezo, the man who had almost killed me, and Felicity, the woman he had taken from me by force. Indeed I was not dead, have you ever seen the main actor die in his own film? No isn't it? So why was I dead?

Marcus had the idea that I lie about my death, that I fake it, after the explosion, I had been seriously injured and Marcus had treated me alone, all this, so that i'll be able to kill Melezo, the real one and not a copy as usual. We had stubbornly left the coffin empty, Marcus had taken care of everything, no one had to know for the plan to work well, not even Felicity.

I approached closer to the bed and I watched as Felicity's eyes widened in shock at the sight of me, clearly thinking I was dead. I gestured for her to be quiet, not wanting to alert Melezo to my presence just yet.

As I moved closer, I could see the fear in Melezo's eyes when he finally realized that I was standing right in front of him. He had thought he had killed me, but he wasn't smart enough to make sure I was actually dead.

I couldn't help but laugh at his stupidity. "Smart smart, and a half," I mocked before swiftly raising the dagger and slitting his throat. Blood spurted everywhere as I lifted his head and let out a primal scream of victory.

Suddenly, Melezo's men burst into the room, but I was ready for them. I fought them off one by one, taking them down in a flurry of steel and blood until I stood there alone, panting and covered in gore.

Felicity gazed at me, a mixture of fear and awe in her eyes. I couldn't help but feel a sense of triumph, knowing that I had finally taken down the man who had done me wrong.

In that moment, I knew that I had won. I had avenged my own death, and I had saved Felicity from a life of misery at Melezo's side. It was a moment of pure triumph, and I would savor it for the rest of my days.

I stood in the now-empty room, a triumphant smile playing on my lips. The echoes of my victory filled the air as I made my way to the grand courtyard of the kingdom. As I gazed upon the soldiers, all gathering there as I had instructed Marcus to do, I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride.

"Are you ready?" I asked, my voice ringing with confidence.

The soldiers looked at me, determination glinting in their eyes. "Yes, Your Highness," they replied in unison.

I stepped forward, raising my hand to silence the resolute crowd. With a deep breath, I lifted Melezo's head high for all to see. "Bow down to me," I commanded, my voice strong and unwavering. "For I have slain your king."

One daring soldier stepped closer, his eyes challenging mine. Without a moment's hesitation, I swiftly ended his resistance, leaving him lifeless on the ground. Three others rushed forward, but with practiced precision, I dispatched them as well. With victory dancing in my veins, I called out, "Who else dares to stand against me?"

Silence hung in the air, and then, like a tide succumbing to the moon's command, each soldier bowed before me, their voices chanting, "Your majesty!"

Marcus, my loyal companion, peered at me with admiration in his eyes. I gave him a knowing wink, expressing my gratitude for his unwavering support. He was a man of honor, loyalty, and integrity - the best of the best.

Suddenly, a familiar set of footsteps broke through the euphoric atmosphere. I turned to see Felicity running toward me, our baby in her arms. The little one had just turned one yesterday, and I couldn't help the pang of regret for missing such an important milestone.

Felicity reached me, tears streaming down her face as she threw herself into my embrace. In that moment, Melezo's head fell unceremoniously to the ground, forgotten in the joy of our reunion. I held her tight, allowing her to release all the pain and anger she had carried through my supposed death.

"I thought you were gone," she sobbed. "I hated you for leaving me, for making me believe you were dead."

Tears welled in my eyes as I gently explained the reason behind my deceit, and how Marcus had been instrumental in our success. She was shocked, her features contorting with a mixture of astonishment and relief.

Then, she lifted herself onto her tiptoes, capturing my lips in a kiss that defied description. It was more than special, soft, exciting, languorous, passionate, and loving combined. It was a kiss that spoke of forgiveness, understanding, and an unbreakable bond. It was, in short, the best kiss in the world.

As we pulled away from each other, breathless and enraptured, a resounding applause erupted from the surrounding soldiers. Our friends, Kyle, Ava, Kim, and Ella, joined in the celebration. And in that moment, we kissed again, surrounded by cheers and cries of joy. Melezo was dead, and we were finally free.

Once more, our lips met in a languid and passionate embrace. And as we parted, the weight of the world lifted from our shoulders. I scooped up Phoenix, our precious child, kissing his tiny forehead. His laughter filled the air as he uttered the word, "Dad." My heart swelled with indescribable happiness. Felicity's gaze held nothing but love as she revealed that on Phoenix's birthday, his first word had been "dad." In that single moment, I was overcome with a profound sense of contentment.

With tears of joy streaming down my face, I held Phoenix close to my heart, feeling the warmth of my family envelop me. The journey had been treacherous, the obstacles daunting, but in the end, we had prevailed. And as I looked into the eyes of the two people I loved most in the world, a smile tugged at the corners of my lips.

This was not just the end of a book, but the beginning of a new chapter filled with love, hope, and endless possibilities.
