The Lycan’s King Breeder

Chapter 101

The fight started, and I had to take care of Titus myself. We went at each other, exchanging blows. During our fight, Titus taunted and teased me, trying to provoke me. "You can't beat me, little girl," he sneered.

I focused on staying calm and didn't respond to his provocations, which only seemed to make him even more aggressive.

As the fight continued, we somehow ended up at the edge of a suitcase. I gave Titus a hard push, sending him hurtling towards the ground. But at the last moment, I managed to catch him before he hit the pavement. "Careful, Titus," I teased. "You almost took a one-way trip to the afterlife."

Titus struggled to catch his breath as I held him tight.

"Please bring me up," he begged. "I won't fight, I promise."

I snorted. "You have no idea how this works, do you? If I let you up, you'll just come at me again bastard!"

"Bring me up," he demanded.

I shook my head. "Not until you tell me everything you know about Melezo."

Titus looked hesitant, then resigned. "Fine. I'll tell you."

"Everything?" I asked again as if to be sure.

Titus hesitated, then said,"okay, fine. What do you want to know?"

I lowered him slowly to the ground, my grip still tight on his shirt collar.

I helped him to his feet, and we dusted ourselves off. I knew he had many secrets to share, and I was eager to hear what he had to say.

"All those men that came with you... we killed them all," I said, trying to sound proud.

Titus shrugged. "They were disposable anyway."

I scowled at him, disgusted. "That's not something to be proud of.

"Uhmm..." He said, before I cut him off, I didn't have time for that.

"Everything you know about Melezo," I growled. "And don't even think about lying to me. I know when people are holding back."

Titus gulped. "Alright, alright. I'll tell you everything."

I released him and stepped back, waiting expectantly for him to speak.

"Look," he said. "At first, I was just doing what Melezo told me to do. He promised me I'd be governor of all these territories, and I saw it as my chance to make something of myself. But then he changed the terms. He asked me to do more and more dangerous things, and I didn't like it. I refused, and that's when he had my family kidnapped. He threatened to kill them if I didn't kill you."

I seethed with anger at Melezo's cruelty. "And you went along with it?"

"For a little while," Titus admitted. "But then I realized I couldn't do it. I didn't want to betray you. So I decided to come clean."

"Traitor! You're lying to me!" I exclaimed angrily.

"I'm not lying!" he cried back.

But I wasn't convinced and he knew it. "Please forgive me," he begged, falling to his knees in front of me.

I was hesitant, but Mr. Jacobs confirmed his story. "Okay, fine. I'll forgive you," I said. "But I'm not taking any chances. Marcus, tie his hands and feet." Marcus did as I asked and we decided to set up camp for the night.

Felicity had been avoiding me since the incident. I tried to talk to her while setting up the tents, but she pushed me away. I felt terrible that we weren't talking. Our eyes met and I tried to smile at her. But she turned away and continued chatting with Kim.

Adrian walked up to me with a basket of braised meat and a scheming look on his face.

"What's this?" I asked suspiciously.

"Just a little something I thought you might enjoy," he said, holding out the basket.

"You know I don't trust you," I replied.

"I wouldn't do anything to harm you, I just want to make things right," he said, trying to convince me.

"What do you want in return?" I asked skeptically.

"Nothing," he said, holding up his hands in surrender. "Just eat the meat and we'll call it even."

I hesitated for a moment before giving in and taking a piece of the braised meat. As I ate, I started to feel tired and dizzy.

"What did you do?!" I exclaimed, feeling panicked.

"It's just a little something that will help you relax," Adrian said with a sinister grin.

Before I could react, my eyes closed and I drifted off to sleep.

Felicity POV:

"It was like..." I bursted out laughing.

"No, but it was abused!" Ava laughed out loud.

She was telling me a few little jokes and it was really hilarious. I missed chatting with her, I really loved her, she was my best friend, my one and only friend. "Hey Felicity, can we chat for a second?" Adrian asked as he approached me by the fire.

"Sure, what's up?" I replied, not particularly in the mood for small talk.

"Can we step away a bit to talk privately?" he requested.

I frowned, feeling a little uneasy at the request. "What do you want to talk about?" I questioned.

Adrian hesitated before finally answering. "It's just something I need to tell you, but it's not something I want everyone to know."

I sighed, gesturing with my head towards Ava, I was holding my sleeping baby. "I can't leave right now, can you just tell me here?"

Adrian shook his head adamantly. "I'm sorry, I really need to talk to you away from here."

I begrudgingly agreed, passing my baby over to Ava. "Just watch him for a few minutes okay?" I handed him over and Ava nodded.

I noticed that Maximus was asleep by the fire. It was unusual for him to sleep so soundly, but I didn't want to dwell on it too much. For now, all that mattered was keeping warm and keeping my baby safe.

As Adrian and I walked away from the group, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread settling in my stomach. What on earth could he possibly need to tell me in private?
