Chapter 2
~ Hunter & Lucy ~
“You are pretty clumsy aren’t you,” Hunter stated as he entered the critical room.
“Are you just here to state the obvious or are you going to give a girl a towel and some dry clothes,” She suggested, splashing mud on Hunter’s leather jacket.
“Was that necessary?” He asked as he ripped his leather jacket off, leaving him in just a tight tee-shirt that showed off his arm muscles and abs through the thin material.
Hunter smirked at her, while he handed her the towels and the change of clothing, “Like what you see?”
He must really work out why else would a kid our age be totally ripped already? He doesn’t look that good… it’s not like his tan skin is glowing underneath the spotlights, and his hazel eyes can read me with just a glance. It’s just damn hormones. Any girl would be drooling and wanting to touch his muscles if he was the first boy they had seen almost shirtless. That’s all it is… totally nothing else why would I be attractive to a jerk like him.
“You are not my type,” She proclaimed, turning away, and grabbing the items.
“The way you were staring is telling a different story.”
“You wish,” She replied, walking away from the scene.
He grabbed her wrist before she could get away from the conversation. “I know people like you, Lucy, the ones who act all strong and independent lying to themselves about everything. The ones who are too proud to ask for help until it’s too late,” He stated, while he wiped the mud off the peach girl’s shoulders.
Oh my god, he did not just grab me. Who does he think he is? A smoking hottie. STOP, That! He is a jerk who thinks he knows you; stop being charmed by his looks and touches.
“You do not know anything about me, also I am not here to be “friendly” and make relationships. I just want to know why Rose and I are involved with these Heart gems,” She announced, shoving his hand away, and tossing the towels in the hamper as she left to change in the washroom.
💖
“After today we will never have to see each other again,” She suggested, entering the room again.
He twisted her around by the shoulders making her turn away from the sink and look into his’s eyes. “Good, because I am also not here to make friends and I will never want someone like you as one.”
“That makes two of us,” She added, exiting the room.
