Chapter 11
Chapter 11
“So, you’re confident because you’re in Class V. But know this. You’re strong, but we have men in Class V in our family too. If you think you can run rampant because of your strength, you’ll be quite sorry.
“No one has ever been able to bully us!”
There were warriors in Sinoval, and they were divided into twelve classes.
Those in the first two classes were only marginally stronger than ordinary people, with stronger physiques.
When one reached Class III, one would have the ability to fight against ten ordinary strong men.
Bernard had seen powerful warriors before. Someone who could easily defeat more than a dozen thugs like Markus must be
in Class V.
Class V was a dividing line. Those who could go beyond would have entirely supernatural strength.
The bigger the difference, the harder it would be to achieve.
Entering Class V was easy, but at least 70% of warriors would be stuck in that class for the rest of their lives.
Even though Markus had outstanding talent in fighting, Bernard didn’t think that Markus could surpass Class V and enter the supernatural classes at his age.
Markus said with interest, “Why are you so sure that I only have the strength of Class V, not anything beyond?”
Reginald snorted. “Who do you think you are? Class VI and beyond? Do you think it’s easy to get that strong? I don’t think you have ever seen warriors beyond Class V or even heard about what they’re capable of! If I tell you, you might piss your pants!”
His words were full of confidence.
However, his feet took him a few steps backward. He was worried that Markus would be provoked into beating him.
The current situation was very clear.
No one in the bar was a match for Markus.
“Oh, you’ve seen them before? So, do warriors in Class V and beyond look different from ordinary people?” Markus snorted.
Reginald said, “Either way, they don’t look like you!”
“That’s hard to say!”
Markus pursed his lips into a smile and lost interest in bickering with Reginald. He looked at Bernard and cut to the chase. “I don’t need you to determine my class. Right now, we’re talking about selling the Insatiable Bar to me. What’s wrong? Is your family’s heir some kind of nun who won’t show her face to the world?”
These words were particularly harsh.
Making fun of Pablo was equivalent to making fun of the Montague Crime Family!
“Pablo is a busy man. He’s not someone you can meet just because you want to. As for the bar, don’t even think about it. I don’t think you can afford to take it even if I give it to you for free!”
Bernard endured the pain in his chest and tried to soften his tone as much as possible. “Markus, you’re young and strong. You’re wasting your talent if you just hang around like this. Why don’t we put this behind us and you come and work for us? I promise you that you’ll have all the money and women you want!
“Don’t be so quick to turn me down. Think about it carefully. Life is all about being free and easy. If you join us, you can have whatever you want.”
Markus smiled
His smile was extremely mocking.
Maybe an inexperienced young man would be fooled by such words.
But Bernard trying to deceive him was akin to a newbie trying to deceive an expert liar. It was extremely boring. Bernard wanted him to join the Montague Crime Family out of admiration for his skills. Bernard just wanted a thug who would do their dirty stuff for a pitiful fee.
In other words, the Montagues wanted him to be their dog.
So, you’re saying Pablo isn’t free to meet me? Fine, I’ll trash this place. I bet he’ll be able to find some time then”
Markus learned from Sebastian that even though Bernard was in charge of the Insatiable Bar, the biggest shareholder was Pablo.
The Insatiable Bar was one of the few bars in Riverside City that had more than four million dollars invested in it. It was also

the largest business under Pablo’s direct ownership.
Now that the bar had been trashed…
Pablo would likely be very, very upset.
Once he found out, it was no longer a question of whether he would make the time to meet Markus.
Instead, he might go crazy and crush Markus to a pulp.
Everyone from the Montague Crime Family, including Albert, became nervous.
If the Insatiable Bar was destroyed…
Pablo would definitely vent his anger on them.
But now, no one could stop Markus from doing anything.
“You dare?”
Bernard shouted in a gloomy voice.
The Insatiable Bar was a very profitable business. It brought in a lot of money every single day.
Even if Pablo only gave Bernard a small number of shares and a monthly salary for managing the bar, it was enough for him to live comfortably.
He couldn’t let Markus trash the bar.
The thugs, who had been knocked down once before, struggled to get up from the floor. They were ready to die protecting the bar.
Taking away their source of income was no different than killing them.
The Insatiable Bar supported all of their livelihoods.
If they couldn’t keep the bar safe for Pablo, why would Pablo still keep them around?
How else could they make a living?
The atmosphere became even tenser.
“You’re seriously asking if I dare? To put it bluntly, I’m a bachelor. There’s nothing I don’t dare to do. Besides…”
After a pause, Markus added with a cold expression, “Maybe you think you can silence anyone in Riverside City because you’re from the Montague Crime Family, but not me.”
“Bang!”
Markus casually picked up a chair and threw it at the screen on the wall across him that was playing a video of an enchanting blonde woman dancing.
Sizzle… Sizzle…
Sparks flew.
It seemed that there was no need to make a deliberate statement about whether he dared or not.
He was putting his money where his mouth was.
“Are you sure you want to do this? Aren’t you afraid of our family’s payback?”
Bernard looked extremely gloomy.
If he could beat Markus, he wouldn’t have talked nonsense until now.
I’ve done so many things and made myself a prime target for your family. Why would you keep telling me nonsense? Mr. Bernard, can you call the shots? If you can, decide if you want to sell this place to me for 20,000 dollars or if you want me to trash it
Bernard was speechless.
That was indeed the case.
He kept bringing up the Montague Crime Family in hopes that Markus would get spooked and stop challenging them.
Such threats had always been effective in the past.
But it was somehow useless on Markus.
If Markus was truly afraid of them, he wouldn’t have humiliated them again and again.
Using the family’s status in Riverside City to threaten Markus was indeed nonsense.

“Neither option will do Markus, I’m sure you’re au upright man How about this? I’ll call Pablo and tell him to come here and talk to you. Maybe we can clear the air regarding any misunderstandings between you.”
Bernard spoke kindly as he tried to negotiate with Markus.
But Markus saw through him directly. “I think you’re trying to buy time to get more men here.”
Bernard did intend to do that, and he didn’t feel embarrassed even after being exposed. “Don’t tell me you’re afraid, Markus
“Nope, but I don’t have much time. I won’t be leaving Riverside anytime soon. If you guys want to find me, I’m sure you’ll find a way. Why don’t I trash this place first and then you come to me for revenge? That way, neither side will waste any time How does that sound to you?”
Markus then turned to look at Josephine, who was in a daze. “Lend me your baseball bat. I’m going to start trashing this place.”
Josephine’s mind was a complete blank.
She and her friends had tried to “trash” the bar earlier, but that was just to cause some trouble and teach Reginald a lesson.
But Markus?
He truly intended to turn this place upside down!
Their ideas of “trashing” the bar were completely different!
Markus…
He was fully intending on making an enemy out of the Montague Crime Family!
