Chapter 2121
"Don't worry about who I am," Frank said coolly. "Now, tell me... Are you Luis Tembo?"
"I-I'll pay up, I promise!"
Luis was begging for mercy right then, thinking that Frank was here to collect his debt. "Just give me time! Please!"
"I've already cleared your debt!"
Frank turned on the lights, shut the door, and dragged Luis into the main bedroom.
"Come on, man! Quit yanking my chain!"
Finally seeing how scrawny the youth before him was, Luis was immediately doubtful.
How could Frank have cleared his debt? And why would Frank help, when they did not know each other?
"Doesn't matter what you believe," Frank said. "No one's going to bother you now but I'm no charity organization either, and my help doesn't come for free.
"So, tell me haven't you received a box of bone ashes, delivered to you by a man named Jason Chand?"
"Come on, brother. Five hundred grand won't buy you anything."
However, Luis promptly picked up on the importance of that information to Frank and demanded more.
Frank hated people like that but had no choice other than to whip out his phone. "Give me a number."
"Ten million!" Luis exclaimed, holding up ten fingers with a sly glint on his eyes.
Frank rolled his eyes, speechless he could part with a couple million, but Luis was demanding ten at once?!
He was not short on money, but surely he should not be a sucker either!
As such, he snorted. "You can forget about that. Let's talk about the five hundred grand you owe me."
Luis chuckled. "What, you don't want to know that amazing secret?"
"I certainly do, but since money doesn't work for you, I just have to change my approach!"
Suddenly, Frank clenched his fist and punched the wall!
The entire building shook with a loud rumble, and bricks were clattering off the wall!
Luis' jaw dropped, stunned that the unassuming youth was a martial elite!
And he certainly could not afford to upset someone this powerful!
Giving up on his plan to swindle Frank right then, he quickly said, "Yes, I did receive that box, but it has nothing to do with me, I swear! I was desperate and trying to make money however I can, but I'm sure you know there's no money to be made from a small town like this.
"I was even ready to run away when I got a text asking me to deliver something to a bar named
Torchwood, while promising that it was perfectly legal. I was promised I
five hundred grand, and lased
it. but what did you think I saw When I arrived there?"
"Make it short!" Frank snapped in annoyance. "No guessing games!"
Luis flinched but quickly explained as he was told, "Well, I often hang out at Torchwood myself, but things were just different that night... It was so quiet, and there were plenty of people dressed in white. It's almost like a haunted house!"
Frank snorted-he did not believe in the paranormal and was instead positive that someone was trying to scare Luis so that he did not spill the beans. "Anything else?" Frank pressed.
"No!" Luis quickly shook his head, but he soon remembered something else and said under his breath, "Well, you must promise me not to tell!"
"Just tell me already!" Frank snorted impatiently.
"Well, I was terrified and needed a place to relieve myself right after I got out. When I headed out to the back alley, I heard some noise in the backroom, and guess what I saw? Some brats were fighting tigers with their bare hands!" Frank smiled faintly right then.
