“Mister Conrad, please let me off...” Lily pleaded. Her thoughts were a mess, and she did not know what to do.
“Lily, pretty women are meant to be admired by men. You should use your advantages properly! Don’t worry, as long as you’re
with me, I’ll guarantee that you get promotions and a higher salary in the future. You’ll be able to achieve whatever you want in
the company!” Joseph let out a smile as he reached out and held Lily, taking advantage of the fact that her thoughts were in
disarray. His lips started to move toward Lily’s pretty face.
Lily wanted to struggle and fight back, but she thought of her mother lying on the hospital bed, as well as her brother’s studies.
She suddenly lost any courage to fight
back.
Suddenly, her face was full of despair and hopelessness.
Knock knock knock!
Right at that moment, a knock could be heard on the
door. Leon pushed the door open and walked inside with
the documents from human resources.
Looking at what was happening in the office, Leon was stunned. He did not know how to react.
Lily woke up from her stupor when he came in. She blushed bright red as she hurriedly pushed Joseph away.
The fact that Leon entered the office stopped him from getting something that was just about to fall into his hands, and Joseph
was furious. He glared at Leon, “Brat, who are you? Who permitted you to barge in here? Get lost!”

“I‘m sorry, I wasn‘t trying to interrupt you...” Leon let out an awkward smile as he retreated in a hurry.
Just as he was about to close the door, he suddenly met Lily‘s gaze. Lily was incredibly tearful as she shot him a gaze that
seemed to be crying for help.

Even though Lily did not know who Leon was, she hoped that Leon could stay back and maybe even help her.

As the door closed, Lily‘s hopes perished as well.
In truth, she knew very well that Joseph was incredibly powerful. He was not just at the top of the president’s office, he was also
one of the most influential people within the company.
No matter who Leon was, there was no way Leon would be able to save her!
Even if Leon stayed behind, Leon would just be causing trouble for himself.
“Lily, let’s continue...” Joseph let out a pleased smile as he lunged toward Lily like a starving tiger.
Lily knew that she would probably not be able to escape being humiliated. She shut her eyes in despair as
hopeless tears fell from her eyes.
Creak!
The door suddenly opened again, and Leon walked back
inside.
Lily opened her eyes when she heard the sound, looking
at Leon in disbelief. She did not understand why Leon
came back.
In his shock, Joseph even started to wonder if he would
rise again down there.
“Brat, are you deaf? I asked you to get lost, so why are you back here?!” Joseph angrily berated Leon.

“Mister Conrad, I’m the new president’s secretary, Leon Wolf. Miss Summers asked me to report to you...” Leon said calmly.
He worked in the Mansons‘ company for three years, so
he knew quite a bit about these unspoken workplace rules.
If Lily was perfectly willing, he would not have tried to
interfere.
However, Lily shot him a pleading gaze. It was obvious
that she was being coerced.
The helplessness and despair in Lily’s gaze touched his
heart.
Even though his personality was on the softer side, he was still an upright person. He had some passion in his
heart.
When he saw that a weak girl was about to be taken advantage of, he could not just let it happen.
