The CEO's Lovely Twins

Chapter 24: Prepare To Get Married

Chapter 24: Prepare to Get Married

"So you've asked her about the anniversary planning?" Joseph asked about what he had ordered in the morning. Magnus responded and nodded. "Yes, I have. Miss Downey said she'll hand it in as soon as possible, and as expected she didn't know the company has this tradition, luckily I've reminded her about this. But she has been quite overstressed lately, so I guess she won't have much time to prepare."

"What is she stressed about?"

"It looks like she's finding her daughter a kindergarten." Magnus had a good memory and he instantly told him the name of the kindergarten which Hayden was going to strive for. "Miss Downey looks so young, I didn't expect her child is already old enough to go to kindergarten." Joseph's eyebrows were initially relaxed, not knowing why, his eyebrows wrinkled once more when he heard Magnus's words and his look turned glum. As Magnus was talking, Noah suddenly scampered along the way from behind and he slapped the drawing board onto the table before Joseph : I want to go to kindergarten.

"Don't be ridiculous, Noah." Joseph frowned. "Kindergarten's environment is too complex for you, there will be teacher to teach you at home." Having heard his words, Noah exploded and he pushed the stack of documents placed aside down. The documents scattered onto the ground and Magnus was so shocked that he quickly squatted down to pick them up. Noah then wrote something on the drawing board at high speed and once again lifted it in front of Joseph : I want to go to the same kindergarten as Stella.

Joseph frowned more and he replied, "No." Noah could not speak. The children at school were still immature and he would definitely get bullied. Sending him to a completely strange environment and letting other accidents happened to him when his autism was not yet cured was the least thing he wanted to do.

Yet Noah started to scream in an angry way and crashed all the documents that Magnus had just picked and piled up nicely onto the ground. Feeling annoyed, he then wrote a couple more words on the drawing board: If you don't let me go, I'll tell great grandfather that you're a bad guy, and I want to live with great grandfather.

Joseph felt speechless. He put his hand on his forehead feeling helpless, while Magnus was trying to force back his urge to laugh when squatting on the ground. The president of the ST Group was actually feeling helpless when facing his son every day. How could anyone believe that if they did not witness it themselves? Joseph spoke reluctantly after struggling for a long while, "Let me consider that for two days first, and don't mess around, okay?"

Noah seemed to not feel content of his answer, but the sound of the door opening interrupted his objection. "Joseph." Viola's slim figure was seen and she walked in from the outside. She smiled while standing at the entrance. "Have I interrupted you? I've brought you and little Noah lunch." Noah shuddered the moment he heard the sweet voice and he suddenly ran to the resting room next door while hugging his drawing board. Joseph deemed that he had accepted his suggestion just now and did not pay much attention to his behavior.

"It's okay, you can come in." He glimpsed at Viola. "If there's nothing else, I'll leave for now, Mr. Beckham." Having examined the situation, Magnus prepared to leave but was held back by Joseph. "Magnus, please stop anything that you're doing that's not important at the moment and prepare a wedding planning."

"Wedding?" Magnus was baffled. "For who?"

"Me." Joseph looked indifferent as if he was saying something extraordinarily normal, even Viola who was behind Magnus was startled. "Why Joseph..."

"Get prepared. After I've finished everything at hand, I'll get married." Joseph's attitude was too composed, but that news was jaw-dropping enough no matter it was to Viola who was his nominal fiancé for five years or his assistant Magnus who knew him the best. Magnus left the room with deep shock whereas Viola was in a daze as if she was in a reverie. She only responded after a while. "Are you serious, Joseph?"

"Do you think I look like those people who will tell that kind of joke? But I won't force you, you can tell me if you're reluctant."

"No, of course not." Viola was thrilled. "It's just that the surprise comes too abruptly." Joseph did not seem to be any happy, he was still calm with an expressionless look. "You're right, Noah needs a mom. Besides the housemaids, you're the woman he's most familiar with and no one fits the role better than you."

The moment he finished his words, a crashing sound was heard. Noah was standing at the entrance of the resting room next door and the drawing board in his hands crashed onto the ground. He stared at Joseph in disbelief and with his face suddenly flushed, and then jumped anxiously and angrily on the spot.

"Noah?" Joseph did not understand his sudden behavior and he quickly walked towards him to check on him. "What's wrong? Did you hurt your feet?" Noah was apprehensive. He snatched Joseph's sleeves and shook his head profusely. "What's wrong? Are you feeling okay?" Joseph wanted to touch his forehead but he pushed his hand away and Joseph lost his balance, falling onto the ground. "Noah..."

Noah could not express the rage he wanted to express. He exploded the moment Joseph said he wanted to marry Viola. Feeling that Joseph had deceived him, he was in a furious mode no matter how Joseph coaxed him. As if he was transformed into a furious lion cub, he rushed back into the resting room and crashed everything he could touch. The resting room soon became a huge mess.

That kind of situation had happened many times. Joseph stood at the entrance. Although he had gotten used to it, his heart still ached. He knew the reason Noah vented his anger was because he was unable to convey what he wanted to say. He needed to vent his feelings too, but using that kind of way to achieve that not only hurt others easily, but also himself.

There was no more commotion inside the resting room for a long time. Joseph patted the door and said, "Come out, Noah." Noah used to lock the door from the inside and he would refuse to open it no matter how Joseph called him. Although the door of the resting room had no lock from the inside, worrying that he would irritate Noah more if he opened the door and entered just like that, Joseph hesitated. "Noah..."

"Let me check him out, Joseph." Viola stood beside him and her eyes were filled with care. "Noah gets along well with me, let me try." Joseph frowned. Looking at the tightly closed door, he still nodded. Viola then pushed the door open with a composed look and said, "It's me, Aunt Viola, little Noah. I'm coming in." Noah was curling up at a corner in the room. He looked like he was injected with drugs when he heard the commotion as Viola entered. He was so frightened that he did not dare to move a muscle and his eyes bulged with fear.

Viola closed the door and approached him while stepping on the scattered dolls on the ground. Her tall shadow loomed before him. Noah put his arms around him while squatting down and he was shivering. "Little Noah." Viola lowered her voice. "Don't be scared, it's Aunt Viola." The room was dark and there was only a toppled lamp giving out dim light on the floor. A creepy soft light was seen in Viola's eyes that was threatening on sight. "Didn't I tell you to be a good boy? How could you throw things just like that?"

Noah pressed his back tightly against the wall with a horrified and helpless look. Disorganized episodes of events flashed across his mind and they were all about the bad woman before him. And his dad actually wanted a bad woman like her to become his mom. "Noah, do remember my words, okay?"
