The door opened and she walked inside,still having a smile on her lips like she enjoyed keeping the two girls away from their families.
Amy and Cody looked exhausted because of the way she had been treating them, she neither allowed them to have a good meal nor did she allow them to have water. It was already three days and life was already getting unbearable for them "Why are you really doing this?" Cody asked the moment she walked up to them, she was tired of the woman making use of them.
Jennie smiled as she lowered herself on the only available chair in the room, "I think it's high time I tell you what I really want" she replied coldly," twenty three years ago, your parents threw me and my family in jail without any valid reason. Your mum was the mastermind behind all of that so tell me why I shouldn't take revenge for the unjust act done to me" she added.
Amy couldn't help but scoff," if they threw you in jail that means you did something, my parents are not people who would trample on others rights and seeing what you are doing now, I think they were right to have thrown you there" she replied fearlessly and out of anger, Jennie slapped her hard across the face. "How dare you speak to me in that tone? I will make sure you pay for all your crimes and when my son finally marries that stupid sister of yours, I will get my ultimate revenge". "What?" Cody asked, raising her eyebrows," your son?". Jennie gave a light chuckle before sitting back down on the chair," what do you think?". "Ethan is your son?" Amy asked, a look of disbelief on her face. She didn't want to believe he was in cohorts with his mother but he has proved to be a good person ever since he got closer to Teresa.
"Just know that your days are numbered" Jennie added before walking out of the room leaving the two girls confused.
"Do you think he is with Teresa for his mum?" Amy asked the moment they saw Jennie walk out.
"We can't conclude that Amy, but we have to get out of here that woman is a psycho," she replied as one tear trickled down her eyes. She was missing her husband and her family a lot and they didn't know they were closer than expected. As soon as she sat down on her chair, her mind drifted back to the past. A Lot has happened in the last twenty years years.

Her breath hiked for a moment when she saw him, why was he at the warehouse and he didn't even inform her he was coming. "What were you thinking so much about mum?" He asked as he sat opposite her. "Nothing, I just have a lot of work pending, I want to finish everything before your dad comes over," she replied as she faked a smile. Over the years she had grown to love him like her own son even if she knew sooner or later he would hate her.
"You work too hard mum, you should leave all of this for Greg to do. You shouldn't overwork
yourself".
"This is what I love doing son, well why are you here?"
"I just decided to come see you, I wasn't

come across Cody and Amy, she had to do something to stop him. "It's okay Ethan, I can take care of this. You shouldn't bother yourself about such trivial things. I can handle them.
He didn't know why he suddenly felt she was hiding something from him, she allowed him to help with her business some time back but lately she always declined his offer in helping her and he found it strange.
"Are you hiding something from me mum?" He asked after a while looking at her intently. "Why would you ask that?Is it because I said you shouldn't do any work and go home?". "You have been declining my offer to help you since" She smiled at him," don't bother son, I can handle this much"
Just then her door opened and Greg immediately entered inside, he didn't know Ethan was around and blurted out what he wanted to say.
"Madam, one of the girls is vomiting" he already said it before he saw Ethan was sitting in

the office and his face turned pale immediately. "What girls?" He asked immediately seeing the look of horror on his mother's face. "It's...it...is....it is not something to worry yourself about, it's one of the workers". "Then we should take her to the hospital, take me there Greg" he ordered and stood up. Ever since he got closer to Teresa, he had become a changed person and cared more about other people's feelings.
"Ethan" she bellowed, " I said I would handle it" she didn't mean to raise her voice but she needed to stop him.
He looked at his mother in disbelief for a while before walking out, he has always been a curious person and he would find out why she didn't want him to help her so called worker.
"I will make sure you pay for this nonsense you just did," she said, gritting her teeth before walking out. When she walked out of the office, she found her son checking each and every room and she became alarmed. She thought he left when he walked out but here he was prying Into her affairs.
"Ethan" she yelled, stopping him in his tracks, "I told you I would take care of it so why are you being so inquisitive?" She asked angrily. "Why mum? If someone is dying we should check up on that person".
"But I said I will take care of it, stop right now and go be with Teresa".
He sighed heavily before walking out, he didn't want to disrespect her but he was sure she was hiding something from him. All the years he had known her she had never yelled or behaved like this before but he would make sure he found out what she was hiding. As soon as he left, Greg immediately ran up to her and knelt on the floor. He knew the madam would not spare him but he just wanted to beg for the last time, maybe she would have pity on him.
"I am really sorry ma'am, I didn't know the young master was around". Before he could finish his statement, two slaps resounded on his right cheek in quick succession. She was visibly angry and he could see it. "Get ready to move them" she ordered and walked off, it was not the time to deal with him yet and it was not the time to be quiet. She knew Ethan was suspecting her now and she can't just allow him to find out, at least not yet.
