It was the weekend and they were already at the camping site, everything was already set up and they were just waiting for Damian's order. Unknowingly to Cody, she was having the best time of her life when the two twins Walked up to her and asked her to go with them for a walk even Ethan was tagging along. "Why do we need to go for a walk though? The view here is so nice," she asked, looking at the two of them.
"We should let Ethan and Damian finish setting up and have a girls' time" Teresa quickly came up with a lie and Cody nodded before they walked off. As soon as they left, Ethan called Damian and told him they were already on their way. Walking for a while they came to a lake which was shining brightly under the moon and the sight looked beautiful. "Wow, this place is pretty" she beamed happily as she spread out her arms to feel the cool breeze on her face. "Uhmm, Amy let's go get the blankets and we can sit here for a while".
"Okay then, let's go". "I will wait here for you guys, the view is really nice" Cody added and turned back to the lake not knowing she made the job easier for them. After a while, they still hadn't gone back so she decided to go and check up on them before she saw her favorite flower tucked neatly on a nearby bush.
"Aww, lilies" she muttered to herself as she took it and began to admire it.
"I first fell in love with a naive girl who thought I wanted her because she was my best friend" she heard a voice behind her and turned, it was Damian walking towards her. He looked so handsome under the moonlight and she couldn't help but smile at him before walking towards him.
"That girl always tied her hair pigtail when we were in elementary school and she always had her lunch box with her".
"Damian" she called walking closer to him but he halted her and she was bit confused.
"In high school she would always wear joggers and hoodies that were bigger than her because she didn't like the way people called her skinny, but that didn't stop me from falling in love with my best friend on the day she sang a song for prom night and ever since then I have been loving her and loving her the more and I couldn't hold back again in college and I had to tell her because I didn't want someone else to take her away from me. We parted ways for five years but the love I had for her never diminished rather it grew with time and now I want to take our relationship to the next level".
"What are you saying Damian?" She could already feel her voice getting cracky because of how emotional she felt at that moment, he was making her go down memory lane and it was beautiful.
"I love the way you walk and the way you smile, I love the fact that you are skinny and tall. I am in love with that beautiful mole on your cheek, I fell in love with that curvy body of yours and I love your personality the most Cody. I want to spend my entire life being by your side and fighting the world together. I want to be the father of our unborn kids, I want to wake up by your side every morning and kiss you good morning before going to work and cuddle you to sleep" saying this he went down on one knee and the tears she was struggling to contain burst out of her eyes, the man she loved was proposing to her in the most romantic way she had ever seen and every word that came out of his mouth proved how sincere he was.
"Cody, will you do me the honor of being Mrs Damian martins?" He asked as a tear also tricked down his eyes, he didn't know a day like this would come and he was feeling emotional too.
"Yes Damian I will marry you" she answered and ran into his embrace as they both sobbed together before he slipped the diamond ring on her finger. "I love you Cody" he said as he cupped her face and was trying to clean her tear stained face. "I love you more Damian, thank you for coming into my life and making it beautiful. Thank you for making me a special part of your life and I promise to give you a love story that is sweeter than your parents" saying that she captured his lips passionately without any care of the world.
The six pairs of eyes staring at them from a distance couldn't help but smile at the cute couple and Amy could feel tears in her own eyes too, her brother was really good with words.
"Let's go and congratulate them" she squealed excitedly and ran off.
"Do you want a proposal just like that?" Ethan asked, smiling at her but she just smiled and walked off.
"Congratulations to the two of you" Amy screamed and she enveloped Cody in a hug.
"You knew about this and you didn't tell me right?" Cody asked happily.
"It wouldn't have been a surprise right?" Terry asked as she hugged her too.
"Congrats man, congrats Cody".
The atmosphere was perfect and everyone was happy when Teresa spoke up. “Actually I have something to say". "What is it?" Cody inquired. Clearing her throat she took Ethan's hand in hers smiling, "Me and Ethan are official now" she answered proudly and he was surprised, he didn't know he would disclose their relationship this soon.
"Oh my gosh, this is the most amazing day of my life" cody screamed happily as they hugged." It seems we have gotten our bridesmaid and best man" Damian chipped in happily. "I am the only single dog here" Amy added teasingly and they all laughed.
"We will be making preparations for two weddings?" Cody asked after a while as they made their way back to the camp.
"No, I want to enjoy life with Ethan for a while before we get married, right Ethan?".
"Your wish is my command princess".
"You all shouldn't forget I am the single one here and stop your PDA".
"Then you should get Min ho over here" Damian said mocking and their laughs could be heard into the silent night, it was a successful day after all.
