CHAPTER NINETEEN. It was early in the morning, Teresa was still sleeping when her phone began to ring. Damian quickly picked it up so it wouldn't disturb her sleep, they had gone all the way yesterday night so she was tired. "Hello" came Jemima's voice from the other end.

"Speak," Damian answered.

She shivered a little from the other end," big boss, I think you should watch the news".

Damian disconnected the call and switched on the TV.

It was a breaking news about the GoodLife agency. The two culprits who killed Viva and Lisa surrendered themselves to the police that morning, saying they killed them on their own and the GoodLife agency had nothing to do with it. "Scumbags" he muttered under his breath as he smiled. "I expected that much from her" Teresa spoke up and he turned, she was awake.

"That girl sure knows how to turn a scandal Into her favor" Damian said as he sat beside her.

Teresa laughed," if she can't handle a small blow then she isn't fit to rule that empire".

"What is the next step?". She looked at him meaningfully and he understood.

"Let her bask in the glory of her win yet and let's give Kathleen something to talk about" he said after a while and she grinned.

"You sure know what's going on in my mind hubby" she said and hugged him.

"What do you want to have for breakfast, wife?" He asked, leaving the earlier topic alone.

"Anything prepared by you" she answered and stretched lazily on the bed.

"Okay then, I will make something for you" he answered and stood up.

"Are you going for the interview yourself?, Rubby told me". "That dimwit, can't keep something a secret" he muttered under his breath," yes I have to make an appearance at least once right?, Let me settle their curious minds".

"Okay then, all the best" she said sincerely and smiling at her, he walked out to prepare breakfast. Even if they had a lot of helpers, if his wife said she wanted to eat food prepared by him then he would do it. As soon as he went out, she pulled out her phone and called Jemima.

"Hello ma'am".

"I want you to reschedule the meeting with the people from Aluta holdings for three o clock". "Okay ma" she replied and disconnected the call. "Let's have some fun Kathleen". She quickly plodded into the bathroom to have a shower. After breakfast, the couple quickly kissed each other goodbye and went their separate ways, they both had something important to do.

At 12 pm, the Interview with the big boss was being broadcasted live. Teresa sat in her office watching her husband and she felt proud of him.

"Good to finally have you on our show" the interviewer said and Dainian just nodded. Seated there, he was like a king who knew how to rule his empire and comments were already popping up online about him. "So tell us Mr Damian, how did you achieve so much at such an age?".

He cleared his throat," a man who sees a bright future should not relent in his effort to give himself the life he promised" that was the simple answer he gave and it already sparked the Interest of the public.

"You are right sir, so do you have any future plans seeing you have permanently shifted your headquarters to New York City, any particular reason for that?" He looked at the camera closely, hoping a certain someone was watching him," I have solely come here just to support someone". Teresa's mind skipped a beat as he said that.

The interviewer smiled," by helping someone, do you mean Teresa Martins?The public wants to know if you both are acquainted with each other, seeing that you both came to New York at the same time and even have the same surname"! "Well I believe I shouldn't talk about my personal life on a live channel or else I might be punished when I get home".

With that single statement, the internet was bustling with comments from his fans and netizens. "Oh my God, is the big boss taken?".

"Who is his wife?"

"Maybe it's a mistress". "He just broke my heart". "I hope it is someone as powerful as him, I am waiting for it to be revealed".

"This is such a tight face slap to me" His fans and public went crazy hearing that singular statement of his, they were now very eager to know what he really meant. A tear and a smile appeared on her face almost immediately as she heard what her husband said, he didn't care if he was a big figure and this could cause a scandal for him. He just wanted to let the world know that he is taken. She felt so loved and happy seeing him declaring it publicly. "Ma'am,you and the big boss seem to love each other a lot," Jemima spoke up after a while, having watched the interview." He is the only person I have in this whole wide world and I am willing to do anything to make him happy" she answered sincerely and Jemima couldn't help but smile, indeed these couples are meant to be.

"Let's get going for the meeting ma, it's already time and I know you would want to go and

see the big boss as soon as possible".

She smiled, "yes, let's go".

Dressed in a pair of skirt and a sleeve, her hair was tied up in a high ponytail and she really looked beautiful. She entered the reserved room and met the people already waiting for her. "Sorry for keeping you waiting" she apologized sincerely and sat down.

The four men were surprised. "Teresa Martins asked us to meet her and she sent her assistant?" One of the men asked. She chuckled lightly, "I am Teresa Martins". They were all surprised, she was so young and she looked capable. "Why do I feel like your face is familiar?" Another asked again, trying to recall the place he had seen her face.

"Let's just get to business gentlemen" she quickly handed them some documents and they read through it, nodding their heads. "So what do you want?" One asked.

"As you can see in this file, it contains detailed information about your illegal dealings in the company. I want you all to sell your shares to me. I will pay you the exact amount for them". "Since you already know the company is involved in such, why do you still want to buy the shares?".

"I believe Kathleen Wilson has the biggest share right now of Aluta holdings ranging to 30 percent. If I get five of your shares, I become the owner of that company and I want to see her crumble." she replied with a deadly look on her face. The men shifted on their seats uncomfortably. "We have to discuss this with the board before we make a decision".

"By-the board, do you mean Kathleen? Because for all I know she has long removed Sabastian Wilson's name from the board of directors. She was still talking when the door to the room opened and a tall domineering figure entered and the men were surprised, what is Damian Wilson doing here. Teresa just smiled, she knew this man was here to support her. 1

"I came as soon as Jemima told me you were here" he said as he sat down beside her and placed a kiss on her forehead.

The five men were left speechless. "So what do you have to say?" She asked again, turning to them.

"We will sell," one of them quickly replied. "We didn't know you had such a relationship with Mr Damian," another Said. "What kind of a relationship do you mean? Damian asked, he didn't like the tone of the man's voice. "Your girlfriend".

He laughed," this woman here is my wife".

Another face slap, they all felt inferior to these two power couple seated in front of them.

"Very well then, I hope no words of this get out till I make my move" Teresa said, looking at them threateningly. "Be rest assured ma, not a word". "Good then, my assistant will show you the documents once you go out, be rest assured you won't be Involved in whatever I have planned and this face that you have seen today, you should be quiet about it" They all nodded as they filed out. The aura from the two couples was suffocating for them and they needed to get out quickly. "I didn't know you would come," she said lovingly as she hugged him and sniffed his scent. "I knew you would want to see me wife, after all I just put you in the spotlight"

She smiled, "I love you Damian".

"I love you more baby" they two kissed and stayed in each other's arms for a while before finally speaking up. "I want to give Kathleen a little surprise now". "Go on ahead baby".

She pulled out her phone and made a call. "It is done" the two of them smiled at each other. It seems they were both really out to show no mercy.

Kathleen was seated in the parlor, watching her favorite Korean channel when her phone rang and she casually answered it.

"Yes tell me❞

"Ma'am, the goods that were supposed to arrive today, we can't get in contact with them," her secretary said from the other end of the line.

"What nonsense is that?" She yelled, "I just spoke to them some hours back".

"We have tried to reach them but all to no avail"! "You must be kidding" she quickly ended the call and tried calling them again but the number was not reachable.

"This must be some kind of joke, my thirty billion dollars worth of deal" she muttered under her breath as she made her way to her room to quickly get dressed, this must be some kind of a joke, little did she know this was just the tip of the iceberg for her.
