Chapter 35
Chapter 35: Kill
Isabella for Me
The man sitting across from Grayson on the sofa tossed the files aside in exasperation and raised an eyebrow at him.
“After sleeping for so long, are you
out of practice?”
“You’re welcome to find out.”
With those words, Grayson set his wine glass on the table and gave it a gentle push. It slid smoothly across the surface, coming to a steady stop right in front of the other man.
“How much longer do you plan to stay in the hospital?”
“You know it’s not something I can control.”
Grayson’s tone carried a hint of

frostiness.
“This can’t go on. Is there any way to keep that idiot from appearing again?”
Grayson’s brow furrowed slightly. After a moment of silence, he spoke slowly: “Kill Isabella.”
“Who’s Isabella?”
“The person that idiot cares about most. If you kill her, he won’t show
up anymore.”
The corners of the man’s mouth twitched. To think there was someone in this world who would refer to himself as an idiot.
“If it’s that simple, why haven’t you done it? Don’t have the heart?”
Grayson’s head snapped up, a flash of frustration in his eyes.
“Every time I try, that idiot appears

and stops me. I need your help. If
you kill Isabella in front of him, he’ll give up for good.”
The man chuckled noncommittally. Glancing at the time, he stood up.
“I don’t have much in the way of midnight snacks, just a few bao. Make do with those.”
Abruptly, Grayson shot to his feet,
drawing the gun from his waist and
pointing it straight at the other man.
“Don’t you dare make me eat any more f***ing waffle!!!”
Early the next morning, as soon as Isabella arrived at school, Evelyn approached her.
Isabella looked at her mockingly. “Ms. Wraithwood, I see your foot healed quite quickly.”

Remembering that humiliation, Evelyn’s expression darkened for a moment, but she quickly plastered
on a smile.
“Isabella, I’m not here to pick a fight today. I wanted to invite you to a party. We’re about to graduate, so I thought I’d have some good friends. over to my place to relax and
unwind.”
“Ms. Wraithwood, I believe you’re mistaken. We’re not exactly friends, are we?”
Evelyn hadn’t expected such a
blatant rejection. Her eyes flickered with annoyance.
“Isabella, don’t be so ungrateful!”
“Ms. Wraithwood, if there’s nothing else, kindly step aside. Otherwise, I won’t go easy on you like last time.”
Isabella’s voice was calm.

Chapter 35: Kill Isabella for Me
Instinctively, Evelyn took a step back, the images that had been circulating on the school forum the past few days flashing through her mind.
If Isabella could single–handedly take down an armed man, dealing with her would be a mere flick of the
wrist.
Just as she reached the library
entrance, Isabella received a text
from Charlotte.
“Come home quick, Dad’s sick.”
Isabella sighed softly. This family really couldn’t stay out of trouble. But Edward was still her foster father in name, and now wasn’t the time to cut ties with the Sterlings
completely. She’d better go back and check on him.
However, when she got home, only

Eleanor and Charlotte were there.
“Charlotte, didn’t you say Dad was sick?”
Charlotte looked at her innocently. “Sister, what nonsense are you spouting? Dad’s perfectly fine. How could you curse him like that?”
In that moment, Isabella understood. Charlotte had deliberately tricked her into coming back.
“Mom, I’m going to Ms.
Wraithwood’s party later. Sister
rarely attends these events, so I want her to come with me today.”
Charlotte’s voice took on a
wheedling tone. Eleanor always
doted on her, naturally going along with her wishes.
“All right, you two go together then.”
“I’m not going.”

Isabella refused point–blank. First Evelyn, now Charlotte. These two were determined to get her to some damn party. There had to be something fishy going on.
She wasn’t that stupid.
“You ungrateful brat! Charlotte’s kindly offering to broaden your horizons, and if you don’t go today, I’ll definitely tell your father about this.”
Isabella sighed inwardly, turning to look at Charlotte, who was gloating beside her.
She was curious to see what trick Charlotte and Evelyn were up to this time.
