Chapter 163 Dwight Sullivan
Preston was stuck in a detention center, only allowed to see his lawyer.
"Where's Helena? Where is she?" Preston shouted.
"Ms. Ember got kicked out of Bennett Manor. She's staying in a villa in the suburbs now. Plus, her account's been frozen, so she can't access any money," the lawyer explained. Hearing that Helena had been kicked out of Bennett Manor made Preston furious.
"It must be that damn Allison. My dad always favored her and would definitely protect her. That bastard! When I get out, I'll make her pay!" Preston blamed all his problems on Allison. The lawyer looked at him, feeling awkward. With the charges Preston was facing, getting out seemed like a long shot.
"Mr. Bennett, the evidence against you is pretty strong. It might be best to make peace with Ms. Bennett and have Mr. Carter let you off. Otherwise..." The lawyer trailed off.
"Beg Allison? Never!" Preston's hatred for Allison was too deep; there was no way he'd beg her.
No matter what the lawyer said, Preston wouldn't budge, which frustrated the lawyer.
"Mr. Bennett, being stubborn won't help. Do you really want to stay in prison? You should know who you're up against. As long as Mr. Carter doesn't back down, you won't get out!" the lawyer said.
He then showed Preston the latest news, including Alexander and Allison's engagement announcement, which made Preston's eyes light up.
"Go find Alexander and tell him I need to see him. I have something important to discuss," Preston said.
When Alexander got the call, he sneered. "He wants to see me? Tell him that unless he hands over the Bishop family's belongings, he can stay put."
James was surprised. "He still has the Bishop family's belongings?"
Alexander nodded. "The Ellis family mentioned it. After Valencia passed away, he took a box from the Bishop family. It had stuff Valencia always kept close."
James got it and passed the message to the lawyer, but Preston stayed silent.
Alexander wasn't in a rush. After getting news about Benjamin, he headed home.
When he saw a table set up on Allison's bed with a computer on it, his face darkened.
"You're not fully recovered yet. What are you doing?" Alexander asked.
Allison smiled and pointed to the computer. "Lying in bed is boring. I'm watching a movie!"
Alexander smirked and grabbed a remote from the bedside table. He pressed a button, and a big projection screen appeared in front of Allison.
Allison's jaw dropped in surprise as she turned to Alexander. "Alexander, is there any part of this house that hasn't been explored yet?"
Alexander smiled and sat on the bed, leaning down to kiss her.
"Unexplored part? Do I count?" he whispered in her ear, making her ears turn red.
Seeing Allison like this, Alexander almost lost control.
But with Allison still recovering, he couldn't do anything rash.
He handed her a tablet and showed her how to cast the screen. Allison tried it and found it very useful.

"If you like it, you can stay here. The room's got a full electronic system. You can mess around with the programs on the tablet when you're bored," Alexander said.
This gave Allison something to play with. Within minutes, she had already changed the program, but Alexander had no clue. By the time he went downstairs, the control of the room had already switched hands. When Alexander brought dinner upstairs to eat with Allison, he found her watching SpongeBob SquarePants.
SpongeBob's laugh made Alexander's scalp tingle. He never imagined Allison had such a childlike side.
"How do you plan to participate in your competition next Wednesday?" Alexander asked while feeding Allison some fruit.
Allison shrugged. "I have my ways, but I'll need your help!"
Alexander raised an eyebrow. "Help? How?"
Allison blinked and handed him a laptop. "Can you type? Can you code?"
Alexander stared at her, feeling uneasy. "You mean, you talk, and I type?"
Allison nodded. "Yep, will you help?"
Alexander rolled his eyes at her and sat down on the sofa with her. He typed while she dictated. They worked quickly together, and Allison discovered that Alexander not only typed but also made adjustments, indicating he understood coding. "Alexander, do you have any hidden identities I don't know about?" Allison asked, surprised.
Alexander paused and then squinted. "Hidden identities? What do you mean?"
He played dumb, leaving Allison helpless.
During her boring recovery, Allison finally had something to do, as the competition organizers had sent her the program.
After reviewing it, she smiled and made a call. "On competition day, don't reveal my identity. I'll participate as a contestant."
On the other end, Teddy raised an eyebrow. "The professor has asked many times when you'll report to Stellar University. He wants you to lead the AI research."
Allison scratched her head. The professor, Dwight Sullivan, was hard to deal with, so she had been avoiding meeting Teddy and the others.
"Teddy, I've got a broken bone right now. I need to rest," Allison said, but then she heard a strong, authoritative voice on the other end.
"Allison, what did you do to break a bone? Where's Joe? Didn't he fix you up?" It was Dwight.
"I just had a little accident. Don't worry about me. I'm fine," Allison replied.
Dwight snorted, "You're something else. So young and already dating. Tell me, what's the deal with this Alexander? Are you being fooled by him? Where are you? I'm coming over!" Allison was startled. If Dwight found out she was staying at the Carter Manor, he'd be furious.
"Dwight, you're busy with work. No need to come. I'll join your research. I can't use my hands, but I can use my brain and my voice. Deal?" Allison compromised, making Dwight happy. "I'll have Teddy send the documents to your email. I want complete data in three days! You know what happens if you fail!" Dwight warned.
After hanging up, Allison collapsed on the bed, realizing she couldn't escape.
