The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 116 Preston Cause Trouble Again

Mia stomped her foot and shot Hunter a look. "Hunter, I told you, I was just joking. I should be the one asking you this: who do you want to be with? You stole my first kiss when I was just two and a half! If you don't step up, I'll beat you up!" Mia looked like an angry kitten, her fierce expression making Hunter want to kiss her.

Allison awkwardly cleared her throat. "Well, I'll go check out something over there. You two take your time!"

With that, Allison hurried away, not wanting to intrude on their moment.

As Allison strolled leisurely through the estate, she spotted a melon patch. Just as she was about to enter, her phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, she answered. "Xavier, what's up?"

"Ms. Bennett, your dad came by demanding the property documents for Serenity Manor from my mom. When she refused, he brought people and trashed the shop!" Xavier's words made Allison's face turn cold. "Is Kismet hurt?" Allison asked.

"I took her to the neighbor's house, but your dad is still in the yard and refuses to leave. He's even threatening to search the place. Ms. Bennett, what should we do?" Xavier said anxiously.

He had no choice but to call Allison. It felt wrong for a grown man to seek help from an eighteen-year-old girl, but Preston had gone too far. Not only did he trash the shop, but he also hurt Xavier's young son, Dane Ellis. Allison was shaking with anger, her hand trembling as she held the phone. She finally dialed Alexander's number.

"Allison, you having a good time?" Alexander's deep voice came through, calming Allison down a bit.

"Alexander, I need your help!" Allison said.

As soon as Allison spoke, Alexander sat up from the couch. "Tell me, what's going on?"

Allison tried to steady her voice and explained the situation. The more Alexander listened, the darker his expression became. Preston was clearly out of his mind, not learning his lesson even after the recent incident.

"Leave this to me. I'll have Hunter bring you back. Allison, don't worry. Trust me, okay?" Alexander said gently.

Allison's eyes welled up with tears. She suddenly realized how comforting it was to have someone to rely on.

"I'll listen to you. I won't worry, and I won't be angry!" Allison said, her voice tinged with sobs.

Alexander felt a pang of heartache. "Just wait for Hunter to come get you."

After hanging up, Alexander called Hunter to find Allison and bring her back to Skycrest. Then he had James take some men to Xavier's house and also called the police.

Preston had broken his leg in the car accident and was in a wheelchair. Despite this, he couldn't accept that Serenity Manor had become Allison's property. So, before he was even discharged from the hospital, he led a group to trash the Ellis family's shop and confront them, demanding the property documents for Serenity Manor.

Naturally, Kismet refused to hand them over. Xavier, worried that the stress would make Kismet ill, took her to a neighbor's house.

Dealing with Preston was a headache for Xavier.

"Mr. Bennett, the property documents were given to Ms. Bennett long ago. This place rightfully belongs to her. Even if you smash everything, it won't change that fact!" Xavier said.

Preston glared at Xavier and sneered. "You traitor! You live off our family, stay in our place, and yet you side with an outsider! I am the sole heir of the family. How dare you give this house to Allison? You must be scheming to deceive Allison and take over our property. I'm calling the police to have you arrested!"

Xavier was furious. Preston was being completely unreasonable.

Just as Xavier was about to argue, a group of police officers arrived.

"Who called the police? We got a report about thugs trespassing and vandalizing property here. At first, I didn't believe it, but now it seems I underestimated you all. This is Skycrest. How dare you cause trouble here? Arrest them all!" The police immediately started to arrest Preston's men. Preston panicked and almost fell out of his wheelchair.

"Officer, you've got it wrong! They're the ones occupying my property. I'm just trying to reclaim what's mine. Why should I be arrested?" Preston said.

The officer approached Preston and asked, "If this is your property, show us the documents to prove it."

The officer's words left Preston speechless since he didn't have the documents.

Furious, Preston accused, "I bet you cops are in cahoots with the Ellis family! They've taken over my family's property, and you're just helping them out. This is corruption! I'm going to sue you all!" Preston, accustomed to being arrogant, felt emboldened by his injury. Even if he couldn't get the documents, he wanted to tarnish Allison's reputation.

In front of everyone, he loudly accused Allison of conspiring with the Ellises to seize Serenity Manor. Many onlookers recorded his outburst.

Seeing this, James ordered his men to maintain order and disperse the crowd.

As the police tried to take Preston away, he stubbornly refused to leave his wheelchair. At that moment, Allison arrived. Seeing the shop in ruins and the injuries on the Ellises, she was furious. "Could someone please call an ambulance?" Allison asked.

Amidst the chaos, no one had thought to call for medical help. Allison found some clean gauze and tended to Dane's injuries.

After that, she stood in front of Preston.

"You still have the nerve to show up, Allison. I'm telling you, if you don't hand over the property documents today, I'll sue you for embezzling the inheritance. I'll make sure you end up in jail!" Preston threatened. Allison sneered. Her small frame appeared even more fragile, and her serious expression turned her usually gentle features icy cold.

Her resemblance to Preston was evident. If not for this, Allison would have doubted she was truly his daughter.

"Fine, go ahead and sue. Let's see who ends up in jail first! Officer, I am the legal owner of this property and have the documents to prove it. This Mr. Bennett came here in broad daylight, assaulted others, and vandalized the shop. His actions are severe, and I request you to uphold justice!"

"Allison, you ungrateful brat, you'll die a miserable death!" Preston shouted as the police loaded him into the car.
