Her eyes turned red all of a sudden. Her mom had left abruptly when she was still a kid. She couldn't even get hold of her mom's keepsakes! Now that she had them, it's like she's reliving the memories of her mom's gentle face and soft voice.
She was clutching the box, tears pouring down like rain. But thinking of Patrina and the others, she held back her tears: "Can I go now?"
Patrina let out a cold laugh as if she'd just heard a ridiculous joke: "Leave?"
With a wave of her hand, a middle-aged man came in.
Brittany looked over, and it was Johnny-the guy the Dustin family wanted her to marry before!
"Patrina, are you trying to pull a fast one on me?" She turned her head in disbelief at Finn and said, "Did you know about this?"
She'd given up on Finn a long time ago, but they had years of friendship. How could he just stand there while Patrina was playing her?
Finn remained expressionless, but her shock had deeply hurt him.
Patrina gently squeezed his hand, and he immediately snapped back to reality: "Brittany, isn't seducing men your thing?"
"Wesley, William, which one of these guys hasn't gone through hell and high water for you?"
Every time Finn thought about the numerous men Brittany might have seduced over the years, he wished he could slap his past self. A fickle, heartless woman like Brittany wasn't worth his sympathy. Brittany felt as though her heart was being torn apart. Even though Finn was the one who had failed her first, she never thought he'd humiliate her like this!
She'd only ever liked Finn since she was a child, and she rejected countless suitors for him.
And yet he thought she was fickle!
"Why are you still standing there? Take good care of Johnny."
Patrina gave Brittany a push. Johnny reached out, his eyes full of lust: "Hello, beauty."
Brittany was pushed into Johnny's arms, his hands touching hers. She felt her skin crawl.
"Ah!"
She caught him off guard, kicked him in the leg, shook off his hand, and ran!
Johnny fell to the ground in pain, his body shaking.
Patrina and Finn immediately chased after her!
"Brittany, don't run."
Brittany felt weak. She just realized that there was something off with the room's scent.
She saw a blur before her eyes, and in her panic, she pushed open a door!
Patrina and Finn couldn't find her. They were about to search room by room. Ding--
The elevator doors opened.
A group of bodyguards in black suits surrounded a young man, slowly exiting the elevator.
Both of them instinctively looked over.
The man surrounded by guards had short hair. His eyes revealed an air of authority that was cold and intimidating, giving off a chilly aura.
He was wearing a mask, covering the lower half of his face, but it didn't diminish his nobility in the least.
Patrina was taken aback, instinctively stepping back.
They walked to the door of the room, and the man signaled for his bodyguards to wait outside.
"Wait outside."
The next moment, Finn suddenly realized something and quickly took Patrina into the elevator: "Let's go, quick."
But Patrina didn't want to miss this opportunity.
"The one in the black suit is Isaac's assistant, Nathan. The one wearing the mask must be Isaac. Three years ago, the Boulton family gave Isaac a hard time. If he finds out I'm here, I might be in trouble, and that's not worth it!"
Finn turned a little pale. He hadn't expected Isaac to be here!

Patrina leaned into Finn's arms, a glint of awe in her eyes. Body, family background, capabilities, and looks-Isaac excelled in all aspects. It was hard not to envy him!
