I spin around to scowl at him, "I don't know if it's because you are sleep-deprived or what, but are you really giving up on them? Klaus is a good friend! And what about the others? Brax has done so much for us. He frowns and lets out a sigh.

I step back away from him, surprised. It wasn't like him to give up so easily, which means he really didn't see any way for them to get out of this.
