Chapter 87-2
"Do you have proof?" I questioned the old lady and she nodded her head,
"I’m willing to step out and talk whenever you need me, Alpha."
I rose to my feet, "That’s good enough. I’ll call on you when the time is right." I uttered and began walking towards the exit. As soon as I got out, I tucked my hand into my pocket and brought out my phone. Tyson had to be the first person to hear this.
KARLA:
We headed back to the underground building afterward, but as I got in, I got the scare of my life- a dead body close to Marco.
"Don’t act like you haven’t seen a vampire trying to feed before," Marco said, and I swallowed down the air. This wasn’t my first time seeing it, but every day, it still felt like a new and disgusting sight to me. This was my greatest fear, knowing that the kids and Kamara were being held captive by Marco’s men. This would be their fate if I can’t get what they want,
"Are you sure she’s the wolf we’re after?" I heard that man behind me say, and I turned towards him,
"Yes, I am."
"She didn’t heal. She wasn’t healing when her arms were wounded. How is that even possible for a wolf that powerful? Doesn’t she have any idea what kind of wolf she is? He asked and I furrowed my brows,
"I don’t know, but I found what you asked me to. I’m very certain she’s the last healer of her kind. Her wolf is special and she’s exactly what you want. Now can we get on with the spell so I can be free?"
There was silence between them, making me wonder what the hell was going through their dumb heads, "You promised to let the kids go, Marco, do your part of the deal." I half yelled as fear ripped through my heart.
"Sorry little witch, everything could go wrong the moment we make use of the blood of the wrong wolf we need," Marco uttered,
"I still haven’t made my last slaughter." The man said, and I let out a loud scoff. I didn’t care what he meant by that but if he was talking about wolves, then it was none of my business. My major priority was the kids and my little sister,
"So what do I have to do in all of this."
"This is where you’ll be a helpful little witch. There’s a change of plan. We need to get closer to her."
"How’s that even possible? Witches are fucking banned from the pack, and if I’m caught, I’m as well as dead. Talk about sending me on a death mission? This is cra...." I yelled out loud but suddenly choked on my last word when he rushed towards me and grabbed my neck.
While I struggled for breath, I tried to use magic but I couldn’t utter any word or manage to because his grip around my neck only tightened, almost as if he was going to choke me completely to death. "P.... please." I managed to say after a minute of struggling with his grip and he let go of me,
"Don’t test my patience, Karla. Remember, I have the lives of 10 of your precious little witches in my hands, so you do as I say." He uttered, leaning to my level on the floor.
While tears rolled down my eyes uncontrollably, I knew I had to do whatever he wanted, or else the kid’s life would be in danger. I raised my gaze gently at him and saw the color of his eyes. They were dangerous, they were completely dark.
My heart thumped so hard that I almost let out a scream,
"Y... you...your eyes...." I managed to find my words after a few seconds, and he smirked at me,
He held my chin, forcing me to look at him, and get used to the horrible sight before me,
The moment I took a closer look at his eyes, I was finally able to understand what exactly he wanted, and why he was doing all of this. He was going to become an immortal and I was helping him become the worst creature in the supernatural world.
