An hour after the incident that happened, I received a call from Daniel. As fast as I could, I began cleaning everything, trying my best to arrange the store and gather all the broken vases.

Once I was done, and ready to relax, I heard Daniel’s voice at the entrance,

"W...what happened here?" He asked as he stepped in and my gaze instantly darted to the broken glasses where the intruder had broken to come in,

I rose to my feet, but Daniel rushed towards me,

"Your arm, did someone hurt you?"

I shook my head, "No, I’m fine Daniel. I had a little accident while trying to arrange a few things." I responded, but the look on his face was clear to make me understand that he didn’t believe what I had just said.

"I was attacked." I finally said and the shock in his face startled me instantly, "But I’m fine. Before he could hurt me, a good person came in to save me."

"I’m calling the Alpha right now..."

He tucked his hand into his pocket and brought out his phone but I instantly collected it from him, "Don’t tell Dexter, please."

"Why not? Someone tried to fucking hurt you and if we aren’t careful, it’s going to happen again."

How could I tell him that it wasn’t just an ordinary person who had attacked me, but a wolf? If he told Dexter about it, all hell would be let loose,

"I’m fine, I promise you. Besides, it won’t happen again and if it does, I’ll be ready to fight back. What about the glass? Did you find out anything about it?"

It was better to change the topic so he would forget about it for now. Luckily for me, he brought out the glass from a small bag resting on his waistline and handed it over to me,

"You’re right?"

"What?"

"There were traces of a rare herb only used by witches in it. Someone must have planned it to make Clara feel that way at the party."

I heaved deeply, "Did you just say witch?"

"Yes. Only witches can use the herbs skillfully because they can only be found with magic. It makes a wolf blind to who their true mate is. That means...."

"Clara and Tyson are mates," I interjected and Daniel nodded his head immediately. I let out an unbelievable scoff as I couldn’t believe what I had just heard. Tyson was Clara’s mate but she couldn’t recognize him because of the herbs.

"I need to let Clara know about this immediately."
