AMELIA
I hauled myself under the duvet, tears streaming down my eyes uncontrollably as I couldn’t help it.
The chance of maybe seeing my mother again was right in front of me, and all I had to do was take it.
19 years! I had lived 19 miserable years without her.
At least anyone could understand my desperation to see my mother as I had so many questions for her
If I wanted to hate her so much, then I wanted to do it right. To let her know just how much I hated her for abandoning me as a baby. Maybe if she was in my life, everything would be different,
I knew what it was like growing up without a mother and the pain that came with it. I was hardly known in the black mountain pack because my step Mom would lock me up till dawn without food,
I was simply made a slave since I was 3 years old. I went through all that pain, knowing what it was to serve my two steps-sisters every day and fending for myself at a very young age,
I was nothing to my father because after my birth, he began living his life paying for having a baby
outside of his marriage and since he was a Beta, there were consequences to his action if his Luna had reported,
I grew up miserable but she had never bothered to look for me. Just how heartless was she? I wanted her to know that I had lived 19 years hating her for abandoning me,
My grip on my duvet tightened as tears rolled down my eyes, without realizing that I had already soaked the bed with my tears,
Finally, I made a decision, a decision I knew I might regret in the future, but right now, I had no other choice. With that conclusion, I shut my eyes with a still heavy heart and drifted into sleep, slightly wishing that I had someone by my side to cuddle me and tell me everything was going to be okay.
DEXTER:
I didn’t get a response from Amelia. I sat in my study room thinking back at the expression on her face when I had made her that offer,
She didn’t grow up with a mother and she had gone through a lot while growing up, I curled my fingers at this thought, wishing so badly that I hadn’t spared her family that day. They made my mate suffer this much because she was an illegitimate child,
But why did I care?
Although Amelia had not given me a reply, I was willing to wait patiently for a response from her,
A knock was rasped on my door and I fluttered my brows, knowing it would certainly be my beta. No other person except Daniel dared to disturb me whenever I wanted to be alone.
"Alpha, we still got nothing. It might be really hard finding her because we have no idea what she looks like." Daniel uttered as he stepped into the room, and I rose to my feet,
"We can’t stop trying. Go to every hospital around the packs and find out all the women that had given birth the day Amelia was born." I instructed, and Daniel immediately nodded his head,
As he turned around to leave, I called him back,
"How’s the wedding preparation?"
