Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 90 Worthy Of Her Beauty

Although it was against Angelina's will and she was reluctant to speak out the words "Mommy and Daddy," she decided to give in to Bobby's wish to calm him down. "Okay, I agree." Bobby's only fervent wish was for his mommy and daddy to be together and never part.

"Nancy, from now on, you may call me Mother," Angelina said intimately as she put the dish in Nancy's bowl.

"Mother, thank you," Nancy said obediently. Otherwise, what else could she do but to obey?

If she were to fight Angelina tit for tat, the only outcome would be to embarrass Charles and it would hurt Bobby in the process.

Given the choice, she would rather take the embarrassment and hurt herself instead.

"Yeah, I have always longed for a daughter and it is good to finally have one,"1 Angelina smiled happily.

The two adorable little babies were contented and dug in their food. They both enjoyed the meal with great relish and gusto.

Angelina was so happy just by being with them and also enjoyed the meal very much.

Everybody at the table was satisfied, except for Nancy. She had lost her appetite.

No matter what happened, she now had the responsibility of taking care of Angelina. And in spite of how she felt, she could not disappoint Charles. After having finished their dinner, Nancy went to the kitchen to wash the dishes and sanitized them.

While the two kids were sitting in the living room eating fruits and watching cartoons,

Angelina went to the kitchen and came over. "Nancy, I have something to discuss with you." "What is it?" Nancy said as she put the bowls and plates on the table and wiped her hands.

"I have a dinner appointment tomorrow night and I want you to go with me," Angelina said.

"Okay. How about the kids..." Nancy wanted to ask but stopped herself after thinking for a while.

"1 have asked the maid to watch over them while we are out. You can rest assured that someone will be there to look after them," Angelina promised her.

"Okay," Nancy agreed reluctantly, although she still felt uneasy.

Without thinking too much, she tried to put her mind at ease and sent the two kids to kindergarten. She carried on with her daily activities and went to work as usual.

In the early afternoon, she picked them up and they all went back to the Fu family house together.

After dinner, Angelina got a stylist to help Nancy.

"Nancy is my daughter now. Dress her up and make her as pretty as you can. I want those rich ladies who laugh at me for not having a daughter to be envious and be amazed by Nancy's beauty," she said to the stylist.

"Don't worry, Mrs. Fu. Your daughter is so beautiful. Rest assured, I won't let her down," the stylist reassured her.

"Thank you," Nancy thanked him politely after hearing what he said.

"You don't have to thank him Nancy. Just ask him to help you pick a dress if you don't know which one to choose and let him assist you in putting it on," said Angelina. "Okay, I got it."

Angelina had put in a lot of efforts to bring Nancy to a dinner party tonight.

She thought of everything and prepared an evening dress for Nancy for the occasion. She even hired a stylist for her.

Angelina's purpose was very clear. She finally realized that to get on Charles' good side, she could not go against Nancy. If she were to insist on keeping a bad attitude toward Nancy, her relationship with her only son would take a hit and it would definitely affect her relationship with Charles in a negative way. It was something Angelina could not bear to happen.

Angelina would rather be on good terms with Nancy and pull her on to her side.

When that happened, Charles would have no reason to find fault with her. In time, she could even ask Nancy to leave him.

After all, Angelina was familiar with the conflicting and cheating ways of the rich families. Had she not been as smart as she was, she would not have been able to defeat Joseph.

What Angelina did not take into consideration was that Nancy had never been a woman who was greedy and would never chase after wealth. At the moment, Nancy's only concern was to soothe Angelina's anxiety because she was going through menopause.

When they arrived at the club, Angelina held her hand intimately and proudly introduced her to everyone as her daughter. Nancy felt touched and a feeling of warmth surged in her heart.

"Mrs. Fu, what a beautiful and elegant daughter you have!"

"Yeah, your daughter looks so smart."

"But Mrs. Fu, she looks familiar and I think I have seen this girl on TV. Isn't her name Nancy? According to gossip, she and Charles are in a relationship," asked a woman who could not contain her curiosity.

Angelina's face turned cold all of a sudden and she said in an intimidating tone, "Gossips are made to stir up trouble. Do you believe everything you hear?" "Yes, you have a point there," the person smiled apologetically as she saw Angelina getting angry.

"Nancy, I'd like you to meet Mrs. Wang," Angelina began to introduce her.

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Wang." Nancy greeted her gracefully.

"This is Mrs. Zhang."

"Hello, Mrs. Zhang."

"Well, well, how nice and pretty you look!" Mrs. Zhang said with a smile.

"Thank you," Nancy replied and smiled politely.

"Mrs. Zhang, I heard that you have a son who is about thirty years old now and doesn't have a girlfriend. If you are interested, how about we play matchmaking and plan a match between my daughter and your son?" said Angelina.

Upon hearing what Angelina said, Nancy felt uneasy. Did Angelina bring her to dinner to get her a blind date today?

"Yes, but I don't know what kind of woman my son wants and who he is talking to now. I'll ask him to come over in a while," said Mrs. Zhang while looking around for her son but she could not find him in the crowd.

"Oh, Mrs. Fu, did you forget that I also have a son? My son is also a good man," said a woman in her fifties with a smile.

"Hello, Mrs. Li. I was looking for you but could not find you. What took you so long?" Angelina greeted her hurriedly.

"I made a cheongsam the other day. Do you like it, Mrs. Fu?" said Mrs. Li as she walked around the room, showing off her cheongsam.

"Gorgeous! It suits you and you look gorgeous!" Angelina's word sounded sincere, but Nancy could sense that it was very perfunctory and not real.

Mrs. Li was flattered and smiled; her heavy make-up made her as beautiful as a flower. "Mrs. Fu, with your eloquent tongue, it will be my pleasure if my son will want to marry your daughter and we become in- laws."

"Is your son here? Where is he?" Angelina heard that the Li family had been developing well in recent years, especially in the renewable energy field. If the son of the Li family were to marry Nancy, it would be beneficial to the Fu family.

"There he is. Lyndon, come here!" Mrs. Li shouted to a man in the distance.

Nancy raised her head and looked at the man walking towards them. She saw a bald man approaching.

"I'd like you to meet Mrs. Fu and Miss Ning," Mrs. Li introduced both of them.

"Nice meeting you, Mrs. Fu. And hello, Miss Ning!" Lyndon Li looked Nancy over and his gaze showed a touch of amazement at how she looked

"Hello there!" Nancy greeted him with a smile.

"Well, you look so much better than me and I am not worthy of your beauty. You are very beautiful and elegant." He was mesmerized by Nancy and his eyes were glued on her face. He could not help himself and just stared at her.

"Oh, is this what they call the 'love at first sight' in the legend?" Mrs. Li clapped her hands excitedly and laughed.

"That's right. I have never seen it before. It's so rare!" said Angelina, her eyes were also full of meaningful smile.

"Look, there are so many people here, but they talk to only to each other as soon as they meet. It's as if they are the only persons in this room," Mrs. Li agreed.

Feeling uneasy, Nancy looked around. Not far away, rich ladies were talking with their young daughters or sons and introducing them to each other.

She then realized that this dinner party was a blind date among the rich families.

"This is fate, the fate of love at first sight!" Angelina said. To give Nancy and Lyndon Li privacy, she took Mrs. Li's arm. "Mrs. Li, let's talk over there about your cheongsam. I want to make one. Let's discuss with you over there."

"Great, good idea!" Mrs. Li responded enthusiastically.

"Nancy, this is your chance. Take it!" Angelina advised her, although it was more of a warning.
