Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 88 Kind Of Love Him

Nancy froze, too scared to move.

Angelina had seen her with Charles. This caused her to panic, nervous energy racing through her body.

Now people knew she and Charles shared a relationship.

Oh dear!

Although, strangely, Angelina had left without a word.

The two children watched as Angelina rushed up the stairs to the second floor. Before they knew it, they saw her running down with haste.

"Grandma, what's wrong?" the children asked softly, standing in the living room with looks of confusion on their faces.

Angelina said nothing and went straight to her dressing room.

The two children looked at one another, still wondering what was happening.

After quite some time, Nancy walked down the stairs. Her cheeks were a rosy pink from embarrassment.

Angelina had been sitting in front of the dressing table. From the footsteps, she knew it was Nancy who descended the staircase.

She opened the door, stuck her head out and whispered, "Nancy, come here."

Nancy had actually come downstairs to explain the situation to Angelina. Although, she knew that anything she said would be useless.

"Grandma is being weird," said the children.

"Why don't you two go upstairs, while I talk to your Grandma? Go find your Daddy," Nancy told the children.

"Alright," they said, without question. Up they went, happily walking hand in hand.

Nancy walked in and closed the door.

With her arms around her chest in disapproval, Angelina leaned against the dresser. Quiet rage filled her as she said, "Nancy, did I just catch you having relations with my son?"

"Yes, Mrs. Fu," Nancy admitted. It was not in her to lie about something that obviously happened.

"I knew you had been lusting over my son. You can't hide it anymore! I caught you in the act!" said Angelina angrily.

"Before you assume anything about me, Ma'am, I think it is actually he who wanted a relationship with me," Nancy answered calmly.

"Do you expect me to believe that my son would want something from the likes of you? You must be joking. You are overstepping your welcome in this household. Do not forget your place here!" said Angelina, pointing a finger at Nancy.

"I understand how much you care for your son. He is an excellent man. I kindly ask you to think about what has been happening. Is it truly me coming after him, or him coming after me? Mrs. Fu, I'm well aware that I am considered a nobody compared to him. Your family is rich and powerful and I come from a simple life with not much wealth," retorted Nancy as she spoke frankly and honestly.

"Well then!" Angelina nodded slowly. She gazed at Nancy, looking at her up and down. "To be honest, I commend your honesty and frankness. You have been a good girl. But there are just some things I cannot accept, no matter how good. Do you understand?"

"Oh, I know," Nancy said calmly but with a hint of bitterness. Nancy gazed at Angelina with indifference. She did not let Angelina intimidate her.

"Do you love my son?" asked Angelina suddenly.

This surprised Nancy. Trying to stay calm and indifferent, Nancy shrugged. "As you said, your son is a very excellent man. Any girl would love him, right?"

"Well, yes. But Nancy, my son doesn't love every girl. For all these years, you're the second one he dated with besides Dorothy. I can tell that Charles loves you and cares about you very much. But Nancy, the TS Group is his lifeblood. To put it bluntly, Charles can live without you but not TS Group. Do you understand?"

"I know!" Nancy exclaimed.

"Good." Angelina smiled. "You understand. Since you do, I hope that from now on, you will learn to leave Charles alone. If you choose to defy that order, you know the consequences you will face!" Angelina's face lit up with satisfaction, her cruel eyes never leaving Nancy's.

After saying that, she took out a bank card and handed it towards Nancy.

Nancy didn't take it. "Mrs. Fu, I understood what you said. I hate to admit it but it makes sense. I know you did all of this for Charles and for his future. But I don't think a deal has to be made. I do care for Charles and I just might be in love with him. But I never intended to marry him. So, put your card back. I don't need it. Although, I can't make sure that I won't see you or Charles in the future, but I will try my best. I don't want Bobby to be hurt by any of this."

Nancy took a moment and then continued, "Even if I promise to leave you and Charles alone, you can't deny that he is dependent on me. Mrs. Fu, what would you do if you were in my situation?" "Me?" Angelina paused but then said with certainty, "Nancy, I know you care for Bobby. If I were in your position, I would find a boyfriend. That way, you would no longer have any impact on Charles. With that, if Bobby were to confide in you, I wouldn't stop him."

"I can't marry or be in a relationship with a man that I do not care for. These things depend on fate and on love," Nancy said in frustration.

"Even if that is so, Nancy, do something to make Charles give up hope on you. I beg you," Angelina said urgently. Anxiety filled Nancy. She knew that she had to follow Angelina, for Charles' sake. Nancy nodded slowly. "I'll try."

"When are you going to leave?" Angelina asked anxiously, "You won't tell Charles about any of this, will you?"

"Of course not!" Nancy knew better than to tell Charles what his mother had been saying. She thought for a moment and said, "I'll leave after three days. That way, Charles won't be too suspicious." Angelina was filled with relief. She grabbed Nancy's hand and honestly said, "Thank you, Nancy. I know that I may have hurt you with my words. I know that my request is quite excessive. You understand that a mother would do anything for her children, right?"

"Yes, I understand," answered Nancy.

"Alright, very well then. In fact, I'm quite fond of Nadia. You can be rest assured that as long as you find a boyfriend, I won't stop you and Bobby from seeing each other from time to time," Angelina said in a lighthearted and joking tone.

Nancy ignored Angelina's jab at her and took out a small glass bottle of pills. "Here, Mrs. Fu, this will help you with your menopausal syndrome. Take one every day, and you'll feel better soon and recover in no time."

Angelina hesitated but finally took the bottle. "Thank you, Nancy."

"You're welcome." There wasn't anything else Nancy could say so she turned around and made her way towards the door.

"You will leave him, won't you?" asked Angelina anxiously.

"Yes, I will. Don't worry. I will follow your request," Nancy answered without turning around.

She would never make things difficult for others.

Angelina's hands trembled slightly. She opened the bottle, poured out a pill and put it into her mouth slowly.

The next three days were bittersweet.

Nancy met every request of Charles and enjoyed his company. Although, she knew that soon she would have to leave.

As Nancy was busy with her task, she could feel Charles' eyes on her. She looked up at him and saw his eyes concentrating on her. "Nancy, you've been working very hard for me. May I trouble you with another request?" he said smiling. Nancy responded with a puzzled look on her face. "Will you fall in love with me?" he asked with a shy smile on his face.

Nancy shook her head lightly gently chuckling. Nancy flashed a smile. "Charles, I have obligations as a mother. Do you think I could fall in love with you?"

Charles' smile faltered as a look of disappointment formed on his face. He shook it off and smiled softly. "Then why are you so kind to me, Nancy?" "I am kind to you because you have been kind to me. You've helped me so much. You're the reason that Nadia is still alive today. It is just right that I return the

favor and work hard." "Reward me with intimacy? Nancy?" Charles looked into Nancy's eyes with an intense stare, gnashing his teeth.

He wasn't satisfied with her answer.
