Chapter 205 Ethan Likes Nancy
"Thank you." Kathy smiled bitterly. Unfortunately, she had remained trapped into her terrible marriage.
"Room 302, Glamour Nightclub... Come and join the party, Kathy. Let's get to know each other," another message popped up.
"Okay." Kathy agreed in a heartbeat. After all, she really had no place to go that night.
Glamour Nightclub was the grandest hangout in the city-the place where the rich go to party.
Kathy was embarrassingly soaked when she got to the club. She had been caught in the rain on her way to the party.
She was greeted with warm applause when she entered the private room.
It was actually her first time to party in a highly exclusive club. Naturally, Kathy was still a little reserved.
To her delight, there was no trace of depression or sadness in the atmosphere. On the contrary, everything about the party felt pleasant and welcoming.
Several bottles of expensive red wine and several packs expensive cigarettes were placed on their table. The women looked extremely elegant, especially because of their high-fashion dresses and exquisite makeup.
Not a single woman looked as if she was suffering from a torturous marriage.
"Hello, everyone. I'm Kathy Jiang." "We are all sisters here. There is no need be so polite. Come and sit. My name is Randy, and I'm thirty-eight years old. This is Ella, Helen, and Bonnie..."
Kathy was uneasy, but she still managed to greet everyone. After that she sat beside Randy.
"You look really young. Sister, how old are you?" Randy held Kathy's hand as she asked earnestly.
"I'm twenty years old," Kathy replied.
"Wow, you are really young. My dear, why did you fall for a bastard?" "Miss, could you please tell Lance, Andrew, and Enoch to come over? Thank you!" Before the waitress could leave, Randy added, "Also, find a goodlooking young man."
"Alright, Randy," the waitress replied.
Soon several gorgeous men followed the waitress in.
"Heads up, sisters." Randy alerted everyone around the table. The men were not only handsome, but were also remarkably tall. They glanced at Kathy and asked, "Is she new here?"
"Everyone, this is Kathy." Randy lit a cigarette and then waved at a shy boy. She pointed at Kathy and said to the boy, "You're also a new comer, right? I'll leave Kathy to you tonight. Serve her well. Do you hea me?"
"Of course, Randy." The boy immediately sat down beside Kathy.
"Randy, I... I don't need him." Kathy grew confused as she looked around her. The ladies looked so complacent, which contradicted her embarrassment.
"Silly girl, every woman needs this. Our marriages had treated us badly, so why can't we find some fun? Why can't we drink together, chat with each other, and dispel loneliness?" Randy consoled Kathy and said, "I know that, unlike us, you haven't been married for a long time. More so, you do still don't have kids. I want you to understand that we do this for the sake of our children. This is the only way that we can endure the mistreatment of our husbands. Take my advice. After tonight, take your life back and divorce that bastard!"
Kathy felt her heart drop. Tears welled up in her eyes.
She joyously grabbed the goblet in front of her and drank up the wine. "Cheers to that, sister," Kathy exclaimed.
"That's right! No more grievances. Everyone needs to let go of their depression. We all understand the pain you are feeling," Ella said with a smile. She then took a long drag of her cigarette.
Kathy couldn't hold her tears any longer. She covering her face as she started sobbing.
That night, Kathy lost track of how much she had drank.
The man kept pouring her wine, and she mindlessly drank a glass after another. Her sight slowly became blurred and hazy.
The man accompanied Kathy everywhere she went. They really sounded like they were enjoying each other.
"Miss, would you still require my company when you rest?" The man wrapped his arms around Kathy and whispered in her ear.
"No... No, No. I'm fine." Albeit drunk and dizzy, Kathy fully understood what "rest" meant.
Truth be told, the answer she had given was not final!
"I need to go to the bathroom." Kathy lifted herself up from tea table and staggered into the comfort room.
The silence of the hallway made Kathy uncomfortable. With her eyes squinted, she looked for the door with the word "bathroom"
As she entered, Kathy accidentally bumped into someone.
The man stood aside and a stream of water fell on her.
"Woman, do you know where you are?" the man said rather unhappily.
"Oh. Isn't this the bathroom?" I know I went inside the bathroom. Why would I be in a wrong place?' Kathy thought.
Kathy felt someone lift her up, just after the stranger zipped up his pants. "Are you an idiot? Don't you know that there are separate bathrooms for males and females? Or did you play dumb so that you can shamelessly hook up with a man?"
"I... No, what..." Kathy felt her stomach churn. She could not hold it any longer.
All of a sudden, Kathy threw up every ounce of wine in her belly. Unfortunately, the man in the comfort room caught most of the puke.
The bathroom was instantly filled with a pungent smell of alcohol.
Ethan was so embarrassed that he wanted to bury Kathy deep underground.
"Sir, I'm truly sorry. I... This was really unintentional. How much are your clothes? I can pay for them if you want! It's the least I can do..." Kathy apologized sincerely. After all, it was all her fault.
Ethan snorted. His annoyance soon dissipated, as he could not stay angry at such a helpless woman.
Ethan's voice was softer than earlier. He put the day down and said, "Where is your friend? Call her and ask her to take you home."
Kathy covered her belly with both hands and shook her head.
Kathy only had one good friend, Betty, who was then in the dormitory.
Ethan couldn't help but frown. Kathy reminded him of a stray cat.
"Hey, this is the men's bathroom. Why is there a woman in here? You two..." At that moment, another drunken man came in. He saw Kathy right before he unzipped his pants.
"Jimmy, what did you say?" Several drunken men came in.
"Fuck off!" Ethan sneered and walked out arrogantly, with his arm around Kathy's shoulder.
"Alas..." The men looked at each other. They didn't dare to make any trouble after seeing Ethan's cold demeanor.
"Sir, sir..." Kathy shouted in succession, for it was inappropriate to go with a strange man.
"Kathy, if I'm not mistaken, you are a freshman at the medical school. I'm Ethan, a clinical major."
Just like that, Kathy could no longer forget his name.
That encounter led Kathy to ask her father for a favor-to convince the president to transfer to her to clinical major.
Kathy had planned for a vigorous relationship with Ethan, but Nancy stood in her way. Ethan had always been public about his admiration for Nancy.
From then on, Kathy had seen Nancy as a rival, an opponent that she always mocked and despised.
Maybe her marriage had taught her to be more selfcentered and relentless.
She badly wanted to show off her abilities to Nancy.
