Chapter 189 You Want To Deny
Did the people of Fang family take her as a machine to give birth to children?
The more she thought about it, the more depressed she became.
Just now, Jay kissed her belly, but did not kiss her, which made her feel very uncomfortable.
But Jay had no idea what was on Doris' mind.
He just felt that Doris was careless and did not have any concern. She was not a complicated woman anyway.
Therefore, no matter what she did or what she said, he didn't take it seriously. Doris was left to carry these heavy thoughts all by herself.
After a long day, Jay just wanted to take a shower and sleep with his wife and his unborn child.
His phone rang just after he took off his shirt.
If it was a call from his subordinates, he wouldn't answer it.
But he didn't expect that it was from Charles.
His brows furrowed. It was late at night, and Charles wouldn't have called if it wasn't important.
"What's wrong, bro?"
"I'm going to be in the police station tonight, and you'd better find a way to get me out as soon as possible. This matter..." Because several policemen were walking towards him, Charles wasn't able to explain the whole situation to Jay.
There was no doubt that the police would take him regardless of what he was about to say.
So, going home tonight was impossible for him.
But before he could finish his words, the police took his phone away.
"You called the police?" one of the policemen asked the girl lying on the ground.
Her clothes were drenched and she looked like a complete mess. "This man brought me here by force. He is rich and powerful...! was helpless! I don't know where we are. Waah... Good thing, my friend called the police. Otherwise, I don't know what terrible thing could happen tonight. Sir, please help me!"
"It's raining heavily. What a poor girl!" The policeman sighed while looking at her.
That was exactly what she wanted. How could she not be sympathized with?
Her clothes were all messed up and she was lying on a muddy puddle.
Everyone who had a chance to see her would have said she looked like a damsel in distress.
For that reason, they would hate him to the core.
"What's wrong with you? How could you take advantage of a weak woman? Are you insane?" the policeman shouted at Charles.
Charles lit a cigarette and said, "You don't need to ask anything now. I'll go to the police station with you. Take this woman to the car. I feel sick to see her."
"You made me so miserable and you still have the guts to say that? I'm sick of you too! My parents are too old and I have young kids to take care of. It's not easy for me to work outside. We can settle this in private. Sir, as long as he gives me one hundred thousand, I'll let him go!" In the rainy night, no one noticed how her eyes rolled slyly.
One hundred thousand was not too much for this man. He would probably agree, wouldn't he?
With scrutinizing eyes, the policeman asked Charles, "Did you ask for her service but didn't give her the money?"
Charles sneered, "Ask for her service? Seriously? Are you kidding me? Even if she gives me a million, I won't take her." "Then what's going on?" The policeman was also confused.
"It seems like the rain wouldn't stop anytime soon. Let's go to the police station." After saying that, Charles got into the car.
One hundred thousand was nothing to him. Even if it fell on the ground, he probably wouldn't want to pick it up. If the woman asked him for money, he could've given it to her out of mercy, but this woman actually dared to frame him up in order to get money, and that was unforgivable.
She even posted it on WeChat moments and called the police. Once he failed to clarify this, it would stain his name forever.
What would Nancy think of him?
What would his men think of him?
He had to consider everything, so he proposed to go to the police station.
Confused with what he meant, Jay put down the phone. He didn't understand what was going on at all.
He only heard that Charles asked him to go to the police station to rescue him. He must have committed a crime, or he wouldn't have gone to the police station.
In a hurry, he put on his clothes and went downstairs.
Doris was still waiting for Jay. She was wondering why he went downstairs.
"Where are you going, Jay?" yelled Doris.
But Jay left without a word.
Doris looked out of the window, only to see that it was raining cats and dogs.
With the baby in her womb, she was not allowed to go after him.
Did he go to other women because of the quarrel they had?
She went back to bed angrily and hid under the quilt. "Damn it, Jay. If you dare to find a woman, I will definitely kill you when you come back. No, no, what's the use of killing you? If you dare to find a woman, I will definitely kill your child. That's it!"
She tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.
Meanwhile, Nancy was also wide awake.
It was gloomy outside because the rain kept pouring down, so she was worried sick about Charles.
Why didn't Charles come back yet?
Pacing back and forth, she kept dialing his phone number. To her surprise, she was being routed to his voicemail.
This made her more anxious. Why couldn't she reach him on his phone?
'Just wait a little longer, or what else can I do at this late hour?'
Hours had passed, but no Charles came.
It was almost midnight, but she still didn't get a call from him.
At this moment, Charles being interrogated in the police station.
"Tell me, what happened today?" the policeman asked.
The police didn't recognize him because he was soaking wet.
Charles sat cross legged on the chair.
"I was blackmailed by her. That's it."
"It's easy to say whatever you want, but where is your evidence?" the policeman asked again.
"You have to find the evidence. I didn't expect that she would blackmail me, so I didn't take note of any witnesses." He brushed his hair with his fingers out of frustration.
"You don't have any ill motives on her?"
"No," Charles answered without hesitation.
"Okay, we'll look into it tomorrow. It's late now. You can stay here for tonight." The police did a bit of stretching before he stood up. He was about to leave when Charles called him.
"Hey, don't go. You'd better figure it out and let me go." He began to worry. The reason why he came with them was because, he wanted to get the issue solved as soon as possible. He wanted his innocence proven so he could go home.
Why did they stop questioning him? More so, they took his phone with them.
Why did he have to be locked up? He did not do anything wrong.
The policeman waved his phone and said, "Don't worry. I'll give it to you tomorrow."
"Hey, don't go too far!" His patience was wearing thin.
They had to leave the phone, so he could at least call Nancy.
"We are going too far? If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have to stay up late at night and deal with your mess. Don't you think it's too much to disturb the police? You could've given her the money she was asking you after you raped her. You still have the guts to deny it after doing it. I'm really impressed!" The policeman shook his head helplessly.
