Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 137 Don't Misunderstand

Joseph lifted her up by her waist and carried her to the bed.

"Joseph put me down!" Nancy shouted, aware of the danger that followed her submission.

At this moment, Charles suddenly halted his step in front of the door.

He seemed to have heard the voice of Nancy. Was it an illusion?

"Joseph, you bastard, let go of me!" Nancy shouted again.

"Well, let go of you? I don't want to. What can you do?" Joseph smiled and got on top of her.

Suddenly, with a loud bang, the door was kicked open. And like an angry devil, Charles rushed in.

Charles took a bottle of water from the table and threw it towards Joseph's head.

"Brother, what are you doing?" Joseph jumped off the bed in a hurry.

Unfortunately, his belt fell on the ground.

When Joseph was about to pick it up, Charles booted it away.

"Brother, why did you throw it away?" With one hand holding his pants and the other covering his head, he pulled a long face and dodged Charles' pursuit.

"What did you do just now? You son of a bitch! If you dare lust after Nancy in the future, I won't show you mercy just because you are my brother." Following that, Charles roughly pushed Joseph away. "Don't think I don't know what you did last night! You went out on a date with a woman other than Nancy. Then why can't I have Nancy? You have already discarded Nancy, so what I do with her is none of your business!" Joseph shouted while running.

"Fuck off!" Charles roared.

Nancy straightened her clothes and lowered her head.

She had no idea how to face Charles.

In other people's eyes, she was the woman that Charles rejected.

It was only natural; after all, they weren't even engaged yet. In everyone's eyes, it was the supercilious Mr. Charles Fu, who abandoned her.

"Nancy, are you okay? Is he... No, Did he bully you?" 'In the time I haven't seen you, you have grown so thin and weak,' thought Charles, looking at her delicate face.

Nancy shook her head and said, "No."

"Nancy, why are you here? I went out to look for you, but you refused to see me. So, why the sudden visit?"

"Bobby's hand got hurt. Your grandfather asked me to stay here. I will leave in three days." Nancy stressed the time on purpose, as she was afraid that Charles would misunderstand.

"I just came back." Joseph, Frederic, Dorothy, and many other people were present in the house, but Charles still couldn't help but feel upset and... Lonely. So, he decided to go to a bar after he dropped Bobby off.

In a dark bar somewhere, Charles alone guzzled down two bottles. Yet, the sweet feeling of being a drunkard with no worries in life just didn't become his hetaera.

In the silence of the night, he drove to his office and slept through the trainwreck that his emotions were.

But Nancy didn't know the truth. She believed that Charles was seeing a woman, just as Joseph said.

She stopped thinking about it as she had no right to ask these questions anyway.

Rubbing her arms, Nancy was suddenly at a loss. She had no idea what to say next!

"Let's go to see Bobby," suggested Charles.

"Okay."

Nancy and Charles arrived together in front of Bobby.

"Daddy, Mommy, you are here!" Seeing them together, Bobby grinned happily.

"How's your hand?" Charles asked with concern, sitting down in front of the bed. "As long as Mommy and Daddy are here, It won't hurt.1

"Okay, we are here," said Charles with a smile.

Nancy checked Bobby's wound and said, "It's okay. He'll be fine in a few days."

"Bobby, how did you get hurt?" Bobby was indeed very naughty, but ever since he was born, he had rarely touched a knife. Moreover, this was the first time that he got injured.

"Oh, it was because of that hateful Dorothy. She ordered me to eat the kiwi fruit. Oh, Mommy, she also said that I am a kiwi fruit. Don't you this that's offensive?" Bobby said angrily. With a sullen face, Charles turned around and walked out of the room.

"Bobby, you shouldn't say like this about others. Aunt Dorothy only wanted your good when she asked you to eat. Don't reject her. If you believe her to be a good person, then she would be a good person." Nancy assumed that Charles would marry Dorothy sooner or later. After they got married, Dorothy would be the one looking after Bobby.

So, Nancy hoped that Bobby and Dorothy could have a harmonious relationship.

Otherwise, they would have strained relationship in the future.

Charles had already arrived in Dorothy's room. Ever since Dorothy hurt Bobby's hand, she had been quite anxious.

It was common knowledge that everyone in the Fu family treated Bobby as the apple of their eye.

She was afraid that Frederic would detest her, so she hid. After that, Dorothy secretly made a phone call to her parents. Surmising the consequences of Dorothy's action, her parents were also scared. It wasn't easy for them to cut Nancy off. If Dorothy really made a grave mistake, then all of their efforts would go to waste.

So, her parents discussed and decided to prepare a gift for Bobby and Frederic.

Dorothy just hoped that Charles would come back after her parents arrived. She prayed in her mind.

When she was lost in her thoughts, she saw Charles come in with anger written all over his face. "C...c-harles!" Dorothy stammered with fear.

"What's wrong with Bobby's hand?" Charles asked in a low voice.

"Charles, it's all my fault, but I didn't mean it! I didn't expect that Bobby would run away. So, to catch up with him, I injured his hand accidentally. Can you ever forgive me?" Dorothy said while crying. "He's not a kid anymore. He can take whatever he wants. If he doesn't want to eat, don't make things difficult for him," Charles said.

Dorothy nodded her head and said, "I know, Charles. It's my fault I will never do that again."

With these words, she held him and started to cry.

She changed her act quickly. Within seconds, she went from a willful woman to a fragile and pitiful woman.

That was successful in making Charles's heart soft. He said in a gentle tone, "It doesn't matter. Just be careful in the future."

Dorothy looked sinisterly at the coming Nancy. She did this on purpose as she liked to gloat in front of Nancy.

And, Yes. She was triumphant.

Nancy didn't mean to disturb Dorothy and Charles. But, Bobby asked her to go to the children's room and fetch toys for him. For that, she had to pass Dorothy's room. When she heard someone talking in her room, she subconsciously turned her head and saw Dorothy and Charles hugging each other.

Nancy silently bowed her head left hurriedly.

Even then, Charles noticed her.

He pushed Dorothy away and rushed out of the room.

"Nancy, let me explain!" He grabbed Nancy's arm.

"Mr. Charles, we have nothing to do with each other. You don't have to explain anything to me." Nancy didn't really care.

If he couldn't love her, she won't brood over him.

That was how simple it was.

"Nancy, Dorothy was crying. I was just trying to comfort her. Please, don't misunderstand!" Whether Nancy hearkened to him or not, Charles still explained.

"Yes, you're right to comfort her. Now, I'm going to take a toy for Bobby. Mr. Charles, you've explained it all. Now, can you let me go?" Nancy asked.
