Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1054

As evening settled in, Mia gently reminded, "Dad, Naomi, you guys should head home now. Once Henry's fever is stable, we'll join you." Naomi had wanted to stay at the hospital to keep her sister-in-law company, but Mia had already sent her own mom home, so Naomi didn't stand a chance.

With heavy hearts, the three of them left the hospital. Once they were gone, the room suddenly felt a lot more spacious with just the family of three.

Andre and Mia were having dinner in the room. As they ate, Henry, ever the curious little one, reached out for the food. Mia, holding a bowl, fed him porridge straight from it, letting him sip right from the edge.

Andre occasionally fed him bits of vegetables, watching his son munch with his little mouth. The sight was so endearing that Andre forgot to eat himself, just gazing his son with a tender smile.

"He's still got some spunk, our little drama king," Andre mused after dinner, using a warm, damp towel to wipe Henry's face. "Seeing him sick breaks my heart. It hurts the little one, and it hurts us too.'

He turned to Mia with a gentle look, "You, always worried about wrinkles, usually pamper your skin with serums and face masks... But these past few days, a splash of water has been enough."

Mia, pointing at their son, said, "Who has the energy to worry about themselves? My whole world revolves around him.

Andre lifted Henry, planting a kiss on his cheek. "This sickness really showed me how much I love you." Mia sighed, "Yeah, I've realized just how much I love him too."

Henry giggled, wrapping his arms around his dad's neck, and tried to nibble on his dad's face, ending up with a little cough against his dad's cheek. Mia, who'd just been doting on him, playfully tapped his bottom, "You dare cough on your dad? Mama's gonna spank you

Before bedtime, Mia video-called her brother overseas, letting Cooper see his little nephew. Despite the language barrier, uncle and nephew managed to chat for a good half-hour.

The next day, Leo came rushing back. "Hey, sweetie, big bro's here to see you!" Henry, who was lazily dozing in bed, was suddenly lifted into the air by his boisterous brother, swung back and forth, and smothered with kisses... which quickly turned into tears.

With his fever gone, Henry was back to his lively self, sprawled on the bed, giggling when teased. He was even running up and down the hospital corridor, being his cheeky self.

Andre was at the nurse's station, handling the discharge papers, when he felt a soft little bundle hug his leg. Looking down, he saw his little one and exchanged a smile. After signing the papers and handing them to the nurse, Andre bent down and scooped his son up with one arm.

Noticing a scale nearby, Andre set Henry on it, "Let's see how much weight you've lost these past few days."

As soon as Henry was better, he

was itching to get moving again. He reached for the height-measuring rod, trying to chew on it. Luckily, Andre was quick to snatch it away before he could. Henry let out a brief cry then reached out, wanting his dad to hold him.

Back in the room, Henry circled around his mom. Mia picked him up and, pointing at the packed bags, told

the helper, "These are the big items; take them home first. We'll have lunch at the Jackson place and head home later."
