Such a Rude and Noisy Woman

Chapter 385 The Woman Behind The Scheme

In the afternoon, the next day.

"Hiram, we've found the creepy man. His location is not far, right in this community." Chad had found out the location of the man who had been sending inappropriate messages to Rachel. With Chad in tow, Hiram set off immediately to confront him, the moment he got the address.

Hiram went upstairs to the floor where that man supposedly was, with clenched fists and looking grim along the way. Chad knocked on the door and soon the door flung open.

As soon as the door opened, Hiram smashed his fist into the man's face.

Although he hadn't completely recovered from the injury, he had to teach this man a lesson. How dared he harass his wife.

The man who had opened the door didn't see Hiram's fist coming. It hit him so hard that he fell backwards, rolling on the floor in pain.

Chad quickly came up and searched the man for his mobile phone. After confirming that the mobile phone belonged to the man, he handed it to Hiram.

Hiram clicked his message and saw the content the man had sent to Rachel.

He suspected the messages might have been coming from Patrick but he dismissed it after giving it a second thought. The tone of the message content, however, was similar to that of Patrick's.

Patrick though, would not be that stupid. He would never risk exposing his location.

"Only answer me the questions I ask. Don't talk any nonsense to me. I have very low tolerance for bullshit. First one. How did you get this number?" Hiram found Rachel's phone number from the contacts list and showed it to the man. He had named that number "baby". Hiram felt disgusted as he saw it.

Hiram had pinned the man down to the floor. Terrified by Hiram's rage, he almost fainted and quickly said, "Please don't hurt me. I'll tell you everything I know!"

"Someone gave me this number. She said she will give me one thousand dollars if I send flirty messages to that number. I only wanted the money and didn't think about the consequences."

Hearing that, Chad immediately slapped that man and said angrily, "You bastard! How dare you send Rachel inappropriate messages! You were playing with fire, you son of a bitch!"

After saying that, Chad smashed his fist into the man's face so hard that both of his eye sockets have now swollen and bruised.

Hiram took that man's phone and accidentally spotted a familiar phone number. He frowned slightly, then he placed the phone in front of the man's eyes and asked, "Is this the person who's paying you to send those dirty messages?" "Yes, yes! That's her!" This man didn't dare lie. If he did, the garbage collectors might find his lifeless body in the dumpster the next morning.

Hiram threw his mobile phone in front of him and stepped on his chest. "Call her now. Ask her to come. Do it now!"

Then he let Chad loosen the grip on the hands of this man.

"Okay, okay. But what should I say?" The man picked up his phone to make the call, but then he hesitated.

Hiram narrowed his dark eyes and said coldly,"Just tell her what I tell you now. Say that the woman you sent messages to wants to meet you. You don't know if you should go. So you want to discuss the specific moves in person." The man nodded quickly and said, "Okay. I know what I should do. Also, will you let me go after this?"

"I was just blinded by the money. I swear, I don't know the woman I sent messages to, I..."

"Stop the nonsense! Hurry up and call that person!" Chad growled at the man to shut him up.

The man didn't dare to blabber on and made the call.

"Hey, it's me, Sid."

"What the hell, Sid! I already said that you're not allowed to call me. The only way you could contact me is by sending messages!" It was a woman speaking on the other line. Hiram thought her voice was familiar.

Chad and Hiram exchanged looks. At this moment, they both knew the identity of the woman speaking on the phone.

"Something unexpected happened. I sent messages to the woman as you asked. She tried to ask me out, but I don't know what to do next. So I want to see you and discuss the details." Sid put the phone on hands-free, so everyone around him could clearly hear everything, especially what they were talking about.

"What? She asked you out?" The woman sounded a little surprised.

"Yes. So I want to discuss with you what my next move should be. How about we come out and have a meeting in the afternoon." Sid was trying to rat the woman out.

But the woman hesitated, and then said after a second, "I'm afraid I don't have time. Let's do it this way. You decide on the time and place and ask her out. You can do whatever you want to do. There's no need to discuss it with me."

"You can't leave it to me. You asked me to send messages to her. Now I have accomplished the task, you can't just walk away and leave this mess for me to handle. Besides, I don't want any trouble! If you don't meet me, I won't meet her either. As for the money, I won't take it." Sid glanced at Hiram next to him and said with his head bowed.

"Wait. Okay, then I'll meet you at six o'clock this afternoon. I decide on where we could meet. I'll send the location to you phone later." Noting that Sid was going to quit, the woman agreed to meet him.

Sid hung up the phone and pleaded Hiram with his hands pressed together. "Please show mercy. I'm begging you. Let me go!" I'm a bastard. I think of nothing else at the sight of money. I will dare not do things like this again."

Hiram stood up and Chad immediately came up to brace him. "Hiram, no need to lose your cool with such a bastard." Besides, he hasn't met Rachel yet. Nothing serious happened."

Hiram closed his eyes and said. "Have an eye on him. When she sends the location, have our men make arrangements.

Then he left the man's hideout.

He called Luke. "How's it going with the gathering of the evidence?"

"We've made progress. But it will take a few more days to get enough of it." Luke replied.

"Well, if there's anything new or out of the ordinary, inform me as soon as possible." Hiram hung up the phone right after the conversation.

He couldn't wait any longer.

Before long Chad came out of the man's house. He had received the message and now knew when and where the man would meet the mysterious woman who paid him to harass Rachel. They agreed to meet at six o'clock. Subsequently, Chad took a group of people with him and went to the agreed place early. They installed cameras in many spots to monitor them.

At 5:40, Hiram also arrived and secured a place where he could watch everything without being seen.

Rachel's call came before he settled inside.

"Hiram, where are you now? Don't you know that you are still not 100% recovered? You should be here at home recuperating instead of going around doing God knows what. If you catch a cold, your health condition will get worse. Don't you know that?" Rachel complained anxiously, worried about Hiram. Hiram listened quietly. Rachel's worry-filled voice on the phone somewhat made him feel lighter in his heart, despite the action that was about to take place shortly.

"Honey, I apologize."

"You...... It's no use apologizing to me. Dinner is ready. My mom made fish soup and we're waiting for you." Hearing his apology, Rachel held back the complaint and rant she was going to say.

"Honey, I will get home at seven o'clock. There's an emergency that I need to handle now. Don't worry, I promise I'll get home unharmed. If I come home with as much as a scratch on me, you can punish me as you want." Hiram said with a smile.

"Fine. Then, you must be home at seven o'clock and no later than that. We 'll wait for you." Since Hiram had made a concession, Rachel didn't grumble further.

It was his freedom to decide where to go after all. She couldn't make all decisions for him.

When Hiram hung up the phone, Chad whispered, "Hiram, they have arrived."

At that time, Hiram turned and looked at the man who was entering the restaurant. 0000000
