Such a Rude and Noisy Woman

Chapter 379 Hiram Awakened From The Coma

Realizing that Hiram had awakened from the coma, Gavin couldn't help but softened his face. "Hiram, my son, you're awake!" he said in a surprised tone. He was happy as evident by a wide smile on his face. As soon as she noticed Hiram, Rachel struggled to break free from the bodyguards who pulled her out of the room and strode excitedly to Hiram.

"Hiram, you're awake! You finally overcame the coma and woke up!" Rachel stared at him, teary-eyed but with a smile on her lips. She quickly approached him and held him in her arms.

Still weak, Hiram had to lean on her body for support. Actually, he had been awake for quite some time.

However, when he regained his consciousness, he was so fragile. He struggled to get out of his bed and walked to the door.

"Don't... don't talk. I'll walk you back to your bed!" said Rachel, as she noticed that Hiram was hyperventilating. She carefully embraced him and guided him towards the sickbed.

"Why are you two still standing there? What are you waiting for? Go and help them!" Gavin ordered the stupefied bodyguards.

Rachel assisted and slowly laid down Hiram on the sickbed. She then grabbed a cushion and put it under his back. "My dear husband, how do you feel now? Do you want to drink some water? I'll get it for you." Hiram held her hand and shook his head. Then he shifted his eyes and looked in the direction of the doorway. Gavin walked in followed by Fannie.

Although Hiram just recovered from a coma, he was already conscious. Therefore, he knew that Rachel and Fannie came to visit him and heard all the commotions.

"Dad, I've heard what you said outside my room," he said.

Gavin cleared his throat and stood in front of Hiram's sickbed with his hands at the back. "Hiram, what I had said were all in your best interests. If you hadn't saved her, you wouldn't have gotten severely injured!

Now, I think the best solution is to throw this mother and daughter out of H City and leave our family alone. Only after they're gone that our family will have a peaceful life."

Hiram tensed his thin and a tad dry lips and uttered, "Dad, if one day mom is in danger, will you save her without hesitation like what I did to Rachel?" "That..."

Gavin paused and heaved a sigh. Then he continued, "I know what you mean. But you should know how important you are in our family. If you didn't wake up, the Rong family will also die out with you!" He said it in a sincere way. "Dad. Rachel is my wife. Protecting her is the right thing for me to do. I hope that for the same reason and now that it's over, you won't deliberately make things difficult for her," said Hiram, as he closed his eyes weakly. That was also the reason why he had reminded Rachel not to tell the truth to his father before he had passed out.

Hiram knew that once Rachel told Gavin the real reason why he got badly injured, that it was because he protected her, Gavin would fully blame Rachel and make things difficult for her.

Noticing that Hiram was still very weak, Fannie, who stood behind Rachel, was worried and couldn't help but comfort him. "Hiram, you just regained consciousness, don't talk too much. Besides, Rachel and I are fine. You should take good care of yourself and recover fast. Don't worry about us."

As soon as Fannie finished her words, the attending doctor walked in and was followed by Carl who just called for him.

The doctor did some examinations on Hiram. Then he heaved a sigh of relief and announced, "Everything is fine after you woke up from the coma. From now on, you just need to take a good rest and pay attention not to let the wound be infected. You'll be fine after nursing the wound until it's healed.

But he just awoke, so it's better not to let so many people stay in the room. You should try to make him stay in a quiet environment and maintain a peaceful state of mind."

As soon as he heard the doctor's advice, Gavin quickly waved to the bodyguards to leave the room.

"Hiram, have a good rest. Rachel, I'll first go outside to find Chad and the kids. He might have brought the kids back," Fannie said.

Gavin was about to say something to Rachel. But, when he noticed that Hiram held Rachel's hand tightly, he stopped his tongue and deeply sighed.

Then he turned around, walked out of the room and closed the door.

When she saw Gavin walk out of the room, Rachel finally gave a big sigh of relief internally. She stood up from the chair and sat beside Hiram on the bed.

"Tell me how do you feel now my dear husband? Is the wound still painful?"

Hiram looked at her small and anxious face, held her hand tightly and said, "No, I don't feel any pain."

"Really?" Rachel looked at him with unbelieving eyes.

'How come he does not feel any pain?

If he doesn't feel any pain, why was he in a coma for a day?' she thought to herself.

Rachel gazed at his dark, deep-set eyes which had never changed and touched his pale, handsome face gently. She felt sorry for him. Suddenly, she bent over and kissed him on his lips.

Hiram's eyelashes fluttered, and his eyes tantalized. "Can you give me a much better kiss? You kissed me at a time when I don't feel any tastes in my mouth."

He missed the sweet taste of her soft lips.

Rachel closed her eyes and a drop of glittering and translucent tear fell down on his face. She voluntarily kissed him, brushed his lips and tried to let her tongue go in.

Looking at Rachel whose tears were falling down silently, Hiram's heart missed a beat. He opened his mouth and kept her lower lip within his two lips.

After a long time, they finally stopped and let go of each other's mouth.

"Well, stop crying now.

My dear wife, I'm very glad that it's me not you who is lying on this sickbed," said Hiram.

As long as she was safe and fine, it was okay for him to get shot at.

Anyway, it was better than just helplessly seeing her take the hit and fall down in his arms. It was much, much better.

His words made it harder for Rachel to fight back the tears. Her tears continuously rolled down her face. She blurted, "Mr. Wolf, Mr. Wolf..."

"Yes, yes. Please repeat it some more times." Hiram responded while looking at Rachel who was a weeping beauty now. For the moment, she only had Hiram in her eyes.

Rachel couldn't refrain from smiling while in tears. She wanted to lie on Hiram's chest and let him hold her with his strong arms. However, because of his wound, she just supported her weight with her arms and didn't dare to move too close to him. "Well. I'll call you Mr. Wolf from now on. Mr. Wolf, Mr. Wolf!" she cooed.

"Hiram! You've awakened?"

At that time, Lydia gleefully entered the room. As soon as she walked in, she saw Hiram and Rachel happily embraced each other.

Joanna also entered the room. When she saw Rachel, she paused for a moment, then quickly smiled. "Hiram, are you awake? It seems that I came at the right moment. I have had the servant cooked some soup for you. Now you can have some while it is still warm!" she enthusiastically said.

When she saw them walk in, Rachel wanted to pull her hand off Hiram's clutch. But unexpectedly, he tightened his grip and didn't let go of her hand.

She stared at him and gave him a wink, trying to secretly signal him to let go of her hand. But to her surprise, he said, "Why are you winking at me? Go and serve me a bowl of soup. I'm very hungry."

Hearing his words, Rachel said okay and walked to Joanna. She took out a bowl, filled it with soup and walked back. She was about to feed Hiram the soup herself.

"Rachel, let me do it." Lydia walked over and wanted to take the bowl from Rachel's hands.

She had been the person who always stayed in the room and took care of Hiram. She, who had planned to go back to the hospital in the evening, just returned from home after taking a shower. But without her knowing it, he had waken from the coma before she could return. "Lydia, you may leave so you could rest. I want to quietly stay alone with my wife." Lydia suddenly heard Hiram's words as she took the bowl from Rachel's hands.

"Okay, Hiram." She bit her lips, endured the unpleasant feelings, and then turned around and left the room.

Rachel took a small, square towel from the bedside cabinet and put it on Hiram's chest. Then she raised the bowl and was about to feed him the soup. But Hiram furrowed his eyebrows. It seemed that he was entirely unused to that 'treatment'.

It made him remember that Rachel often fed Jonny and Joyce the food in that way when they were little.

Hiram removed the small towel from his chest, raised his eyebrows and looked at the woman who spooned the soup to his lips.

Looking at them, Joanna gave out a lonely smile. Her son had grown up and had the company of the woman whom he loved. As his mother, she need not worry about taking care of him anymore.

"What are you doing? You're a patient now. You can't be so picky." As she spoke, Rachel took the clean square towel again and wiped the corner of Hiram's mouth. Then she spooned the soup to his lips again.

"You should respect my will because I'm your patient now." As he spoke, Hiram seized her wrist which was holding the spoon.

"Stay with me tonight, okay?" he sweetly requested. D
