Chapter 58. Surprise Breakfast With Daddy

Noah POV

“Keep this under wraps. I do not want news of this getting out until we catch all his cohorts. And from now on, tighten the security at Hunter Enterprises. Don’t leave anything to chance. We are at war.” I told them and they nodded.

“I will make everyone pay,” I told them, but how can I make everyone pay if I am also an unwitting accomplice to Uncle Matt’s purported crime?

“Go home,” I told Brent and Langley.

“And you?”

They asked, both looking worried.

“I will be fine,” I told them and got in my car.

At first, I did not know where to go. I was so preoccupied with what happened that going home did not sound appealing.

Besides, where is home? I only crashed by the apartment I got after I sold the house. I shared previously with Briana.

I don’t have a home.

I drove around aimlessly. After some time, I found myself outside Ford’s mansion. I turned the car’s engine off and stared at the house.

The lights were off. A sign that everyone has retired for the night.

I opened my car’s compartment and took out a cigarette. I lit one, did a few puffs, and threw the butt away before lighting another one.

I did not know how long I stayed outside Briana’s house. I only noticed that it was morning when the skies turned gray.

It was nearing dawn.

An idea struck, and I got inside my car.

I drove around in search of the nearest 24/7 convenience store and bought ingredients for breakfast.

A grin spread on my face as I imagined cooking breakfast for my family.

After paying for my haul, I drove back to Briana’s house. This time, there is light on the first floor.

I pressed the bell, and Charles, the eldest of the Ford brothers, opened the door for me. He took one look at the packages in my arms, and he opened the door wider

“Kitchen’s over there” He instructed and padded back up the stairs.

I went in search of the kitchen. It was not that hard to find

They talked while I cooked – random stuff, but their chatter filled my heart with eas

and contentment.

I only learned about them being my children recently, but it sure felt like I have kno them for a lifetime.

When they almost demolished the food on the counter, I started preparing another batch of eggs and pancakes for their mom and me. I was surprised by their appetites.

“Mik!” Mason mumbled. His mouth was full.

Riley got down from his stool and went to the fridge. I followed him and watched as he extracted three solo–sized milk cartons.

He could not hold the three boxes in his arms, so I helped him. He carried one while carried the remaining two.

I was about to close the fridge door when he noticed something he liked.

“Grapes and apples!” He exclaimed.

I took them in my arms and laid them on the table.

The other two quickly snatched apples from the box. I assumed Briana already washed them since they were stored in a nice container like the ones she used to pack the children’s fruit tray.

“Daddy, eat!” Mason brought a grape to my lips.

I opened my mouth and sucked the grapes in. Mason laughed when he heard the smooching sound I made. His brothers followed.

“You are up early, kids.

“Mommy!”

The children hurriedly got down from the stools when they heard Briana. They run to her.

I stared at her. Her face was bare of make–up, and her hair ran down like a curtain at the back of her head. She wore a pajama set, and she looked most breathtaking to
