Chapter 65 

Lord Williams came into my study while I was still thinking about what could have happened yesterday. A part of me wanted to believe that Alpha Larswell was still somewhere around the pack but where he wasn’t even important to me. What I needed to know was how he got out of there. I need a logical explanation to understand what happened.

Saying an unseen force knocked the guards down was silly to me. If this is a prank, I want to know every single person behind it I want to ki who is toying with my intelligence and exactly what happened. 

“Alpha,” Lord Williams bowed down to show his respect as he walked into the room. 

“What did you find?” I asked impatiently. I haven’t been able to think of anything else since the moment I heard the news and it was starting to get ⠀ on my nerves. I need answers. I hate to be kept in the dark. 

“Unfortunately, we were unable to trace Alpha Luxwell no matter how hard we tried. We even went as far as spying on his pack to see if he was going to sneak in, but he was nowhere to be found. His people are not even aware that he has escaped so we didn’t want to raise an alarm he explained. “At this point, I think the guards may be right. Everything was indeed suspicious and there is a probability that the guards were telling the truth because it does look mysterious.” 

I thought about it for a while and nodded. I’d wait for Madam Rosalie to come back and tell me about her research before deciding what to do next. The whole scenario may be out of the ordinary, but I’m certain Alpha Luxwell couldn’t have pulled that out all by himself. He must have gotten help from someone. Whoever it is, I will find out. 

“No problem, then, I said, dismissing Lord Williams: 

He stood up to leave but before he could, he halted in his steps and turned back to look at me. 

“Erm… Alpha, Prince Kane’s coronation is in two days and he had sent another invite to remind you about it in case you have forgotten, Lord Williams said as he waited for my response 

I was still a bit distracted by the news of Alpha Laxwell that I had completely forgotten about Prince Kane and his coronation 

He got his chance to become the Alpha because of my help. I should be able to grant his request and show up for his coronation party to congratulate him on his victory. 

“Well then, tell the men to prepare themselves as I will be going to the Greenwood pack tomorrow,” I announced. 

“Is there anything you would like them to pack along?” Lord Williams asked and I nodded. 

“Yes. I 

1. es. Ill be leaving with Maliya so they should consider her comfort in their preparation, I ordered and Lord Williams nodded. 

“I’ll inform them. Alpha” 

Lord Williams left the room afterwards, leaving me with my thoughts. 

I knew for sure that Maliya would be thrilled to go hear the news that she would be visiting the pack she once thought of as home tomorrow,

I went into 

into our bedroom to find her sitting comfortably while the maids did a pedicure for her. 

Her stomach was starting to come out slowly, and it seemed the pregnancy had added to her glow too. She looks prettier every damn day and all I could do was stare at her with admiration. 

As soon as the maids noticed my presence, they bowed to show their respect before they left to give us some privacy. 

Malaya stood up from where she was sitting and moved closer to me, while I watched her move with grace, 

She was simply beautiful. 

“I thought you were busy? What are you doing here? Did you need something? What is it, let me know” she said as she searched my face for an 

“Prince Kane’s Coronation is in two days. He is going to become the Alpha, and he has sent his invite,” Lannounced. Her face widened out of shock but before tried to muster it up, I didn’t fail to see how her mood switched the moment she heard the news. 

Her face wouldn’t sell her off, so I couldn’t really say this was exactly what was going thisisigh his mind, but 1 could still see the shock she was trying so hard to hide 

I knew that Prince Kane was the one who sold her, but I never really cared enough to ask about what kind of relationship they had. Does she hate 

him? 

I mean, isn’t that nommal! After all, who would like the person who sold them off as a save and ruined their chances of living the life they truly desired: 

She soon recollected herself and nodded as if it wasn’t a big deal. “Why are you telling me about it though“” She asked with a confused look on her face. 

“I’m telling you this because I want you to come with me.” 

It wasn’t a command like I would have done, and I bet Maliya noticed that too. Her face dropped to the ground and I wondered what was going through her head. 

“Erm… you know, I don’t have to right! There won’t be a need for me to be there and even if that is the case, I still don’t want to go she confessed. 

Silence fell in the room for a while and I guessed I was wrong. I thought she would be happy about going home and seeing her friends one last time, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with her. 

“I want you to accompany me, Maliya.” I whispered softly as her eyes bore into mine. I cannot go anywhere without you, not to talk of spending a whole day apart from you. My mind won’t be at ease. I want to make sure that you are safe. I want you by my side and I never want to be apart from you. I confessed, 

I don’t know. I really don’t want to be there,” she muttered. 

“This is the second time he’d be sending the invide. It’s not like I cannot ignore him, but he respects me a lot and he has even come here to ask for my help. To request for my support. Not attending the coronation would break his heart, I pointed. 

“You can go. I’m not stopping you, but 

“But I won’t leave without you. I cut her off and she sighed. 

I could see the dissatisfaction on her face but she nodded anyway. “Fine, I guess I don’t really have a choice here,” she said with a pout. 

I pulled her into a hug and kissed her forehead when the sound of the knock resonated through the room. 

I pulled away slightly to see who it was when Lord Williams came in. 

“We have arranged for everything, Alpha. You can leave for the Greenwood pack too without having to worry about anything,” he assured me and I 

nodded. 

Sounds like a plan.
