XANDER 

1 had a meeting with the elders today and for the first time, I went into the grand hall before all of them arrived. I faced the wall so that they could all meet with my back when they entered the room, as I waited patiently to see the surprised look on their faces once they saw my face 

The door cracked open and the elders began to come in one after the other, far I remained standing in the same e position as I watched their reflection from the window. They weren’t complete yet and I was going to wait until they has all gathered before turning around to show them my new look. 

Most of them have never seen me without my eye patch and I can’t wait to see their shocked expression when it tually happens, For the first time in a while, I feel super proud of myself and I couldn’t wait to see their reaction. All these while, I had to endure watching them with one eye which can be awfully difficult. 

All thanks to Maliya, I can finally show off my face without an eye patch and that alone was enough to make me proud. The constant thought of people judging me behind my back was now dead, and I couldn’t wait for all of them to assemble so that could finally show my face.

I had to endure the bullying from my father and stepmother. Of course, I couldn’t just allow them to continue with all the dirty talk

I watched the elders from the window and once I was certain that they were all complete, I finally turned to face them, taking them by surprise.

“The annual festival is coming up soon, What do you think we should do this year? We have always done something special every year and I believe we shouldn’t fall short of expectations this year too,” Lannounced: 

The festival will take place in two weeks and we haven’t begun any preparation nor to talk of making plans for it. The festival luas always been a remarkable one and I didn’t plan anything less this year either, which means we need to conchuile soon enough 

“What if we do a different theme this year? One of the elders suggested and I listened attentively. “We can make it a masked festival where everyone that attends wears a mask on their faces and remains anonymous for the night. More like a custom day except there won’t be funny dressing other than masks” 

Some of the elders agreed with the suggestion while another one shook his head, 

“Or we can do something else instead. We can make fireworks and play joyful music. It’s a festive period, isn’t it? The mood should be different,” 

I have always preferred the festival to be in a certain way. Calin and peaceful. They can leave all the fun in the world as long as things are in onder, just in case things go out of hand while they are any celebrating 

I am not naive enough to think everyone who came to the place would only be there to celebrate. Of course, some would use the opportunity to commit crimes and get away with it. So you prevent unexpected attacks, I always make sure that the pack is heavily guarded and the themes are 

never 100 serious. 

However since the elders have a different idea, I decided to go along with their plan and do something different. 

“If that is what you suggest, then you can get it done. You can decide how to get everything done among yourselves. Once you come to a conclusion, let me know and I will fund the bills as we have always done every year,” Lannounced and a smile spread across their faces. 

“Thank you for your kindness,” the elders greeted and I dismissed them. The meeting ended shortly after the elders left one after the other until 1 was left alone with Lord Williams. 

“Alpha, are you sure you want to agree with the elders on this year’s theme? Going anonymous can be a little risky,” he reasoned. “What if our enemies use the opportunity to strike? The crowd would be too much and on top of that, we won’t know who to protect and who’s not because they 

As much as I understand what Lord Williams was saying he also needs to understand that change is constant. “It’s about time we allow peace to reign,” I announced “1 wanted something different and all they did was suggest something different” Het out 

Change is constant and it’s about time for things to change. Even though I can walk around without my sear anymore, why shouldn’t I give them chance to do what they want for once and make them happy? 

“I am going to make some changes too with myself. I’m guessing you should consider doing the same. It’s about time we move forward,” I said. 

Just then. A guard breaks into the hall without knocking, riling me up from the rudeness. 

“Have you gone mad? What happened to your manners? | flared up. 

Tardon my munners, Alpha, but this is quite important,” the guard went on his kner as he bowed to show his respect. 

“What is the matter?” I frowned, as I shified in my seat. If he bagged in like that, then it must have been really important. 

“Alpha Luxwell has escaped from pris 

prison the guard announced, taking me by surprise.
