Sold to Mr. Arrogant

Chapter His anger

"Care to explain," Shawn said as he walked up to me causing Jack to crawl behind me.

"Just give me a minute, okay." I requested waiting for him to back away but he didn't.

"Tell him whatever you want, I will keep standing here." he clarified in a dark tone that lacked patience.

I sighed as I looked at Jack and whispered in his ear.

"If you mess with them, I won't be able to guarantee that would keep your life. I know you want me to listen to you, I will if you chose to keep silent about this. I will contact you after you get out of the hospital so don't say anything until then." I instructed lowering my voice as much as I can.

"You promised me, Lily." he barely stuttered.

"Yes, and you know that I keep my words. Don't forget to tell them that you fell from the motorcycle while riding in the forest by some branch or something, You asked me to bring the motorcycle to a repair shop." I continued.

"Okay, I will. Don't hang up with such a dangerous man, Lily. I will be back as soon as I can, I really missed you, ya know that."

"I can hear the word man in your sentence so I guess you would be talking about me," Shawn uttered stepping forward; he leaned matching his body level.

"I warn you to show up around me again and since Lily is most of the time by my side, you better disappear from both our sights forever," Shawn growled warningly.

The ambulance's siren sound was approaching and I signed Shawn to move back. I asked the paramedics to take me with them but Shawn grabbed my arm and dragged me away. His grip was firm and he did not let go of me.

"Let go, Shawn, I told you I will tell you later all about it." I started.

"Who said that I don't already know all about it, Lily. He has been in our circle it has been four days now, he was trailing us that day when we went to the forest so I made a neat background check."

"If you know then you should be aware of the fact that he might make a big problem out of this."

"That's why I was about to put him in place, you are the one who interrupted the process." Shawn retorted.

I slapped his hand away glaring at him now.

"This is my own problem, Shawn, I don't understand why you are getting involved in this. You should have called me when you came into contact with him." I explained.

A lot of trees embraced our shadows as sun rays were finding their way past the dense set of leaves. Shawn was so angry and I could not justify his anger, he did not respond to what I said as if he is trying his best to control his temper.

-"Why did you hit him, what happened?" I asked.

Shawn closed the distance between us lowering his voice while clenching his jaw. He stared at me with those light grey eyes of his that never failed to fascinate me; I was put for the first time in place of those who talk to me contemplating my eyes. Ah, that is what they see, I thought.

"I am trying to be nice here Lily so don't piss me off any further. The boy was still tracking me and I caught him, he kept spouting nonsense about how I am taking advantage of you so I hit him. I knew that he wanted this result to make an issue out of it later but it is not like I would be fazed by that." Shawn clarified.

"I appreciate your help but you just don't understand, people like us have nothing to lose literally, you are underestimating the amount of damage he can do just because he is weaker. What if he spread rumors in the college, that would totally put us at a great disadvantage. What if he got out of his way and tried to kill you. You never know..."

"What did he do for you to say that?" Shawn suddenly asked converting the conversation's direction. I kept silent; I did not want him to know honestly.

He placed his forehead on mine and slid his hand to my back trying to make me feel comfortable enough to tell him myself.

"I even told you about my mom," he said.

-" If I promise to tell you, would you promise to not get involved in this matter anymore? I will deal with my own issues myself." I responded.

"I will think about it."

What is that even supposed to mean, he is so vague... He has asked nicely though, I can't get myself to refuse to tell him.

"He stalked me throughout my high school years, he befriended me using my weaknesses against me. I was fighting underground to make money for the high school tuition fee so he threatened to tell the school if I refused to give him a chance." I started.

"I was imprisoned in this relationship for a whole three years until I got into college. I was fighting only during summer and colleges don't care about something like that anyway." I continued.

"He did not have any weakness, he doesn't care about anything in his life and he doesn't mind getting beaten every day. He is so persistent. I had to put him behind bars to stop pursuing me." I added. "For aggravated stalking and threatening?"

"Yeah, he was supposed to remain five years in prison but words got around that he paid a fine by selling one of his organs. He is a total nut job."

"I wonder what he would do if he was to get imprisoned again." Shawn wondered.

"You said you won't get involved, Shawn."

"You are easily tricked." he chuckled aiming to lighten up the mood as he turned around and walked away.

I walked up to him poking his side.

"You promised..." I pouted my cheeks cutely, I was following him recklessly not looking in front of me, which nearly caused me to fall tripping over a small branch but luckily Shawn was quick on his feet and grabbed me from my waist preventing the fall.
