Sir, Let’s Divorce Chapter 6
Chapter 6
The black car moved away, leaving behind only a pile of dust.
The night was cold.
Victoria stood up and looked at it quietly. Then, she wrapped Matthew’s coat around her and walked in the direction of the manor’s gate.
When the guard on duty saw the figure of her, he hurriedly came out to greet her. “Miss Nelson, why are you here…”
He looked hesitantly at the man’s coat on Victoria and heard a dignified voice,
“Victoria! Get in here!”
Bruce Nelson came out of the gate. He was wearing a formal suit with a light golden dragon pattern on his shoulder. His face was serious, and he looked coldly at his eldest daughter who was wearing a man’s suit jacket.
Victoria looked up at him.
Usually at this time, he should have already been asleep in his pajamas, but now he was still standing in front of her in a suit. Victoria rose indifferently and looked at him with a smile. “Dad, are you still up?”
“What time is it now? What are you wearing? How can our Nelson Family have such a daughter as you, so uncouth?”
He sounded angry. Despite his past disappointment with Victoria, he refrained from uttering any unpleasant curses. But today, he was really pissed off.
In the villa, a graceful shadow ran out. “Bruce, what’s wrong?”
Victoria didn’t say anything. She looked coldly at the woman who had come a month after her mother’s death Annie Welter.
She ran up to Bruce and held his arm with a worried expression. “Don’t be angry. Let’s talk things out. Victoria definitely didn’t come home late on purpose…”
“Hurry up and explain it to your father. Children are inevitably disobedient, which can be understandable. Apologize to your father and your father won’t make things difficult for you!”
Although Bruce was still livid, he obviously listened and looked at Victoria coldly, waiting for her to apologize.
“I remember that I have a younger sister. She shouldn’t be at home now either, right?” Victoria suddenly smiled.
The implication was that, even if he wanted to punish her, he should treat her and her sister equally, not punishing her alone.
“You –”
Bruce was so angry that his face turned pale. He flung his arm fiercely. “Your younger sister called back a long time ago and said that she wanted to celebrate her birthday with her classmates. What about you? You came back in the middle of the night sneakily, wearing a man’s clothes. If your mother saw you like this in the netherworld…”
“You are not qualified to mention my mother!”
Victoria interrupted him abruptly. “You, are not worthy!” Her eyes were cold.
She said this almost word by word.
When she was a child, she had always thought she was very happy. Her parents were loving, and Bruce deeply loved her and her mother. Her mother was from a much nobler background, so her grandparents had never accepted it. As a result, they severed ties with her mother. Nevertheless, her mother never gave up. She followed Bruce and helped him build his business from the ground up, and eventually, he achieved his current success. Who would have thought that Bruce had raised a woman from outside?
Annie soon took Anya into the Nelson family after her mother passed away due to illness. Bruce lied that they had only met after her mother’s passing, and although it had only been a month since they had first laid eyes on each other, he felt love at first sight and had found the true love of his life..
She was not a three–year–old child. Who would believe it?
Bruce was so angry with her that he covered his chest and retreated. “You, you are really… rebellious!”
Annie quickly supported him and comforted him softly, “Brucey, your heart is not in a good state. Don’t stoop to the level of a child…”
Victoria glanced at her with a touch of rejection and disgust in her eyes.
It was her innocent and pure appearance that made it impossible to wait for her promotion a month after her mother’s death. How could such a woman be so good?
