Chapter 298

Joanna’s cheeks flushed when Millie put her in her place. She always thought it was Millie who exposed her.

She even planned for the worst–case scenario, in which she would drag Millie down with her.

Therefore, she was shocked to learn that Yoel was the culprit who exposed her secret. She asked Millie,” And how did Yoel Marshall learn about it?”

“How the fuck would I know? You love running your mouth when you’re out and about. Am I supposed to clean up your mess?” Millie bellowed at Joanna, causing her to jump in shock.

“Winston Greer, do not turn me into a scapegoat. I’m not some despicable villain.” After that, Millie tossed the envelope into Winston’s arms.

She waved at Joanna and Winston, who were both scowling. “Best wishes for your marriage.”

With that, she marched out of Joanna’s room feeling cathartic, but what happened was just the beginning.

She didn’t bring the evidence to Sebastian immediately as she knew Winston would certainly force Sebastian to take action against Yoel for Joanna’s sake.

Millie, who had never reached out to Logan, called him for the first time.

Logan was surprised to see her number, and he picked up the call immediately.

She asked, “Are you offering me the two million dollars or not?”

Logan was caught off guard by her question. She suggested, “Let’s meet at Riverside Café.”

She hung up on him after that.

Millie showed up at the Riverside Café in a white dress. She looked ladylike with a matching cardigan over the dress.

She sipped on her coffee and watched as Logan exited a luxury car. He strolled into the café and went over to her.

Frowning, he asked, “Have you considered my offer? Will you put an end to the anonymous letter incident?

As long as Millie admitted to writing the letter, he would make her explain the scandal to Sebastian by claiming it was fake. That would effectively end the scandal and protect Joanna’s professional reputation.

Millie placed a calfskin envelope on the table.

Logan looked at her quizzically. What was that?

He took a seat and opened the envelope.

Who’s that?” He stared at the dimly lit face in the photo.

She shrugged and gestured at him to look through the photo. Surely he must be familiar with Yoel after

He saw Yoel’s face in the last photo when he made it through the stack of photos.

“That’s Dr. Lloyd’s office. Yoel was holding the anonymous letter.” A soft smile played on Millie’s lips, a stark contrast to the gleeful smile she flashed at Winston.

Her goal was to prove Winston and the Lowells wrong, Since they believed she was guilty, she wanted to toss the evidence in their face. She, Millie Caldwell, would never make such a wretched move!

As a Caldwell, the only humiliating thing she had ever done was insist on marrying Winston and having to look after the Greers.

“Is this Yoel Marshall?” Logan finally recognized the man in the photo.

She smiled at him.

“Are you saying that Yoel sent the anonymous letter?”

“Mmhm.” She shrugged and took a sip of coffee.

Logan gulped in disbelief. He doubted, “Is this credible?”

She stared at him wordlessly. If Logan were her brother, she would have beaten him up. Why would he even bother with that question after she showed him the evidence?

“More credible than you,” she snapped back at him without hesitation.

Then, she took out a check from her pocket. The sight of Logan irritated her.

He shot her a puzzled look. She placed the check on the table and said icily, “Here are two million dollars for you. I need you to apologize.”
